So, been rolling with the sniper Zero as I've always been a sniper kind of FPSer. Something about sniping in this game just isn't quite clicking with me though. I'm thinking about switching it up to a shotgun assassin, or maybe just playing Axton. I think I should do both.
I've had pretty good success with Axton by throwing the turret and sniping from cover while it wrecks stuff.
I like the idea of a DLC which would scale appropriately for a character who completed PT 1 rather than having to do it through PT 2 (I'm one of those people who found PT2 uninteresting and never bothered to get to 50).

Yeah, I'd like to be able to go to PT1 and have the DLC scale at PT1 difficulty to my characters current level (ie, enemies are always fun to fight, never frustrating rather than enemies are often fun to fight, but frequently very frustrating which is what PT2 is)

Now that I'm on PT 2.5 it's time to build up the arsenal a little bit. I don't want to go too crazy with farming but I'd like to get a better corrosive smg, shock smg and some form of rocket launcher.
Since you guys have been at this much longer than I, where would I be best off starting my search for these?
Oh, and is Terra even remotely soloable with Gaige and not a super amazing gear loadout?

Corrosive SMG, you can always get a moxxi's.
Exploit? not really:
Host a level 50 PT2.5 game, have someone (level 1 even) come in and do the tipping to moxxi and you'll get a level 50 corrosive.
Let me know if you want help.

Ideally I want a level 50 version of this gun:
It has served me well so far but it is getting a little underpowered compared to the enemies. The large clip size and Hyperion accuracy profile have been very helpful to me as a Mechromancer.
How are the stats on a Moxxi corrosive smg at 50? It would probably be a decent replacement.
Edit: If you can help me get one, that would be appreciated. I'm online now and should be for a while.
It works well for me. The crit damage and healing aspect makes up for the damage IMO. but I also have a good corrosive caster also, that I switch between depending...
I'd also love a bad touch! Not entirely sure about how much I'll be around this weekend, but I have no problems throwing some Warrior purples away for that purpose.

As far as SMGs are concerned, I vastly prefer plasma casters for their much higher bullet damage. (Normal elemental SMGs have lower bullet damage, higher DoT)
The exception being the Inferno, which seems to use a unique projectile type that has Torgue-esque qualities. It seems like the bullets create very small explosions when they hit, causing it to do vastly more damage than stated on the stat card.

I agree with you on the bullet damage, only thing is my caster has a wider spread, so not super awesome at range.

Torgue shotties are indeed the bestest. Right now I'm split between dual-pistols and shotgun/AR combos. And I was thinking Rampage all the way down and then split between Brawn and Gunlust.
So, what's Sal's class mod supposed to be? I mean, Zer0's are arm fins, Gaige has a lunchbox, Maya has a book, and Axton has a shoulder camera/laser sight... but what's Sal's?

FYI, the spread from the Kitten is not a smiley face.

Picked this up today and think im sold on Mechromancer... or Siren. I played Roland in BL1 so I want to do something different. I soloed pt1-2.5 and all of the dlc so I think I might jump right into multiplayer this time.

Steam Support is the worst. Seriously, the worst
i'm jazzed about new enemies.

Better than the Mook reskins we've gotten that are not the size of houses as they should be.

They really want people to play tvhm I guess.
Its odd because proper scaling is really all people wanted and playthrough one dlc would have allowed that.

According to Kotaku(ugh) there's tons of loot chests in this one.
no bank upgrades though!
Co-op is a blast with friends.
Coop is awesome. As a Maya, I have more trouble soloing than coop. Downside, shared loot.

Edit: I may have to bug someone on my friends list to pull that trick Bronc. Wonder if I've collected enough cash on my alts to pull it off.
Plus you could always do what I did, pass some cash in the 50 game with my 50 to the friend then back to the tipper.
Edit: and remember the key is that the character tipper has not done it before.

Edit: Although I could easily pass some trash level 50 weapons for the tipper character to sell first.

Getting started with BATTLETECH: Part 1 / Part 2
BUY A GODDAMN TORGUE GUN.
uh, rampage/brawn will serve you well in PT1, you won't NEED to spec gunlust until PT2
