Friend and I both picked up Kreig last night and are currently duo'ing our way through the story again.
Double Kreig is actually pretty fun. He's going down the Mania tree and I'm doing the Hellborn tree right now.
You'd be surprised how many times the correct play in boss fights is: Both of us pop Buzz Axe Rampage and run in circles around it.
Did the quest line that rewards the Firehawk shield before quitting last night. Mine had the inflammable prefix.
I hope this combos with the hellborn tree like I think it should.
not with the inflammable prefix it won't
inflammable is great, usually, immunity to fire and hella nova damage
...for everyone except hellborn krieg, since he needs to be on fire
That's about what I was afraid of.
I was hoping I could still be on fire but not take any damage from it.
in other news: UVHM loot fucks me again: grinding scorch for a level and a quarter trying to get a goddamn hellfire and not a goddamn thing
i need to stop now, lest i outlevel all my other shit again
i am pretty much cursed at this point, i think
everything has gone wrong this playthrough
No Hellfire makes Kreig sad.
One dropped from the kill of Scorch last night. I was very happy.
Now I just need to get my hands on Moxi's Good Touch and all will be right with the world.
Why can't the game have an option to upgrade items to the users level for some number of Eridium? Even 50 per piece of gear would still be a worthwhile option.
Bandit's lower damage output for extended mags is not my cup of tea. Some shotguns work.
Jakobs is ok but I hate that I always spend more time reloading than shooting with the combat rifles. The sniper rifles are awesome, the revolvers ok and with the Deputy's Badge the reload times are greatly improved for the shotguns but I feel more comfortable lately with Hyperion's elemental shooties.
Legendaries don't count.

So how's the new guy? I haven't played BL2 in quite some time, but I've had an itch lately. Is he worth the purchase?
If you can answer 'yes' to any of the below, Kreig might be for you!
*Have you ever watched a Psycho running towards you and wished you could live as he does?
*Have you ever felt physical pain at how not on fire everyone around you is?
*Do you ever feel an unstoppable rage and wish to throw yourself at your enemies until they are murdered by the white-hot fury of your vengeance?
*Do you bemoan the lack of buzz saw blades that don't have a head to be buried in and wish to correct this awful injustice?
Funny questions aside, I think he's pretty good. Though time will tell how he holds up into the 30's and upwards. As some people have said, he seems to start off feeling less powerful (because his early talents aren't splashy because they set the stage for talents further down the trees) until you hit the 20's. Mine is ~13-14 and I'm just starting to get to the fun talents.
Also. Have you ever asked yourself: "Why aren't my fingers in someone's eyesockets right now?"
anybody who's farmed legendary loot midgets in the wildlife exploitation preserve (the doctor's orders boxes)
is it possible to avoid the big fight in the courtyard outside there? i maxed fleet, and brough a rough rider shield and breakneck banshee mod in the hopes of running right past all that shit, but the door doesn't open until the badass shows up
do i have to wait until after the plot mission for it to stay open or is that fight always gonna have to happen?

That situation is only acceptable if you scream "Do you see where I'm comin' from you jive muthafuckaaaaaaa?!" while you do it.
Although I imagine that if I had a Krieg I'd be running around tossing buzzaxes all day yelling about "throwing that shit before I walked in the room."
So, it occurs to me i may have jumped the gun on going into vault hunter mode at level 35. I'm currently level 39, just got to sanctuary and i find the game fairly difficult at this point. I've got a rocket launcher at about 35k damage, sniper rifle at about 4k damage, a pistol at about 3-4k shotgun at about the same. most of these weapons are from gold key usage so they are level appropriate i just feel alot weaker then i feel i should. I was hoping i could blow through half the game before tiny tinas dlc comes out but now it looks like its going to be a bit of a drag.
I kind of expect Roland to show up at some point for realzies and Tina to be all "I tolds you so, bitches! What do you think those cloning stations are FORZ! GEEEEEEZ.".
"For no one - no one in this world can you trust. Not men. Not women. Not beasts...this you can trust."

That would run contrary to the theme that gaming helps people to cope with grief/loss without turning them into basement dwelling monsters storyline they seemed to be pushing in the teasers. It would also nullify any sacrifice angle that the vanilla story had, which was one of the main complaints of the first game (the story didnt matter) and biggest thing bl2 got right

It didn't get it right, though. Explanation for gameplay mechanic or not, there are respawn poles all over the place, and (admittedly, in a sidequest) Jack pays you to kill yourself knowing full well that you'll regenerate and turn the quest in. Anybody who came to Borderlands or Borderlands 2 for a serious story came to about the wrongest place they could.
Theres a storage room to the right of bloodwings cage. (The cave like place where theres a tree). Its got a like 2 chests and two loot midgets are always in those boxes or chests.

triple bandits come up
i run for the door, straight into a crimson raider, who's blocking it
"i just wanna get by," he says
me too, guy
me too
boom.
I think loot in BL1 was more consistent. I hate almost everything Jakobs and BANDIT offer.
I might go back to play BL1, I never tried Brick.

SURE WOULD BE NICE IF I HAD A GOOD FIRE GUN RIGHT ABOUT NOW

edit: the Dahl plasma caster is faring reasonably well against the stalkers. this is the first good news i've had in a loooong time.
Wait, wait... you hate Jakobs and Bandit? There will be words.

in another news: Pearl! a bearcat!
Sweet! Post a pic.
Steam profile.
Getting started with BATTLETECH: Part 1 / Part 2
didn't really check the stats on it actually
i think that pearl used up all my luck, 'cause I ain't get nothin' after that
plus it seems to be wising up to me; sometimes, it inexplicably spawns a super badass loader in that first hallway and i get my shit wrecked
one time tumba showed up! is he even supposed to be in there?

for fuck's sake
what is this run? Just a run to right before
And I assume you need the quest (or it's easier with the quest still up) to open those boxes?
