I just listened to your interview on word balloon, it was great. I never thought about how most people subconsciously assume that female creators should be, for lack of a better word, sequestered to books with female characters. That seems pretty unfair. That being said, what characters, male or female, would you like to write?

Least commercial comic idea in the history of ever and I want to write it sooooooo baaaaaaad.
That would be so cool. Like The Avengers without all the British sexual repression. Heroes be fuckin'.
Oh man, I want this
vastly late but heck yes this is a thing I want
with art by Francisco Francavilla
(partly because I just want more Francavilla and he'd do something pulp adventure-y like this soooo well.)
It was fine but man it basically read like "Fraction's Hawkeye is pretty good, I'm gonna do that."
Roy had the same super casual style of speak as Clint does, "I bet he has a quarter like thing in his pocket. I'm gonna get me that quarter thing."
there was the "translation" joke where Chinese was translated into <Sarcastic Thanks> and the theme of the issue was that Roy likes using his bow but can survive just fine without it by improvising with other mundane items and it just felt like a blatant imitation.
I've been reading Keatinge's other book, Morbius, which also has a very casual Hawkeye-esque tone and I've been enjoying it but I am worried he might have found a voice he likes and is just using it. It also probably annoyed me more with Arsenal because, y'know, archers.
I didn't read the issue but I don't think using everyday items as weapons is really imitation. Even in the awful Rise of Arsenal mini he was able to do that, hell, Green Arrow just did that.
Also, reading Keatinge's other books he reads like an average at best writer, he's solid on dialogue but everything else seems really bland. His first issue of glory read like the most by the numbers issue of Wonder Woman ever, complete with the fan girl that let's us know how big a deal she is.
If it was just that, yeah, but the style of dialogue and the goddamn <Wrong Translation> jokes were so blatant
Do you think Fraction himself also tends to alwyas give his characters the same casual voice? I read some Imortal Iron Fist and while I really enjoyed it, the main character seemed super similar to Hawkeye in terms of personality.

That's his thing
that's why he's called Arsenal

I really like Arsenal in Young Justice. Not his personality so much (which is pretty understandable given his history in the show, so I don't hate it)
but him having a Bionic Commando/Inspecter Gadget arm is cool

Not anymore. Now he's Red Arrow.

can I just say that I am tired of comic book "fans" who constantly bitch and moan for no good reason
like I know it's my fault for reading comments and stuff, but seriously, everywhere (but here I guess) that people are talking about the Marvel #1 teaser are people convinced that the sky is really, truly falling down on all our heads this year

He went Arsenal --> Red Arrow before the New 52. He took up Red Arrow when he joined the Justice League (he was Arsenal back in his Outsiders days).

See, I like the new arsenal because he wouldn't pull shit like that. He would probably just get really high and forget about the plan or swing a dead cat around.
so wait, in the new 52 does Arsenal now have no relationship to Green Arrow?
Roy was Oliver Queen's sidekick, but due to unknown circumstances, Roy was kicked out of his position, and Oliver took the stocks that he gave him within Q-Core, leaving him to his own devices. Roy became a depressed alcoholic and death seeker who attempts to commit a variation of suicide by fighting Killer Croc.

well, i need to complain about the fact that the dude who wrote Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter is helping with the Fantastic Four reboot
since Ollie is meant to be young. Like, early 20s young in the New 52.
Arsenal is also around that age.
Him being his sidekick seems suuuuper weird.

The trade notes that the new cinematic version of the superhero team with be "taking a grounded superhero and sci-fi approach" and that there are plans to incorporate many more elements from the comics and deep mythology, which includes Doctor Doom, Galactus, and the alien races known as the Kree and the Skrull.

Is he still an asshole in the show or was that just for the first episode? I never watched the rest.
He went Speedy -> Arsenal -> Red Arrow -> Arsenal
Yeah he's an asshole but he has some pretty badass action scenes
