Welp, Classic played terribly. Thorzain somehow won the game through simply playing no rush 15 better than Classic and attacking into a siege line. That is pretty embarrassing. Still, well played by the Tfunk.

What a fucking beautiful game by Thorzain. GOD DAMN. Need gif of Jaedong clapping.
Also, over 7 years since last foreigner win in PL.

you signed off before i finished my thought - one thing I can suggest you work on based on those games is to really focus on nailing that scout probe with your early lings. The first game I got a proxy pylon easily, the second game I had a spare probe out on the map and didn't even need it, just put down the proxy pylons with the original scout.
You may not always be able to deny proxy pylons, but make the Protoss work for it, make him send out second probes, make him be sneaky.

also the APM counter on the score screen is still bugged. it counted only 80ish APM for each of us in the last game, and we both averaged over 220 ingame.

Yeah, I really need to worry more about that. I haven't had to deal with that for a while though, so I've gotten a bit rusty
I like how the Kespa Protosses' answer to PvZ is to streamline all-ins even more so they don't have to go lategame. I'm starting to see some more all-ins than just immortal sentry now, like two-base blink stalker and three-base no colossus.

That's really the Korean Protosses in general. Which is why Korean tournaments are all Protoss and Zerg while foreigner tournaments are just Zerg.

i've been having fun hallucinating oracles in PvT and PvZ
everyone makes two spores/turrets in every mineral line, immediately
And a Zerg really can't afford to be wasting resources on that when I'm going for a sentry immortal
For extra fun, hallucinate an oracle in a PvT - then actually go oracles, let the hallucination die so he thinks to himself "aha, I am so clever and this is a hallucinate"

Sigh.. another example of pro players not knowing really what they're talking about. The new thor anti-air cannons are the exact same range as the anti-air missiles, not more. Which, by the way, outrange the broodlord. I kinda let it slide because he admitted thors aren't really his playstyle and he hasn't used them.
And a lot of his criticism of the widow mine and hellbat seem like he doesn't really know how to use them either. You don't run a bunch of widow mines at the enemy and burrow them right in front of his face hoping he won't target them. You use them to supplement a push or contain someone (in addition to the defensive uses he mentioned). You can bum rush marine/tank with lings or whatever and usually come out alright. Approaching tanks surrounded by widow mines is total suicide. He's thinking of them like banelings when he should be thinking of them like tiny siege tanks. I watch HotS streams whenever I can, and it's usually terrans streaming. I've seen numerous pushes protected by mines, leapfrogging them forward the way you would tanks. The hellbat does seem pretty boring, however. I didn't say bad, mind you, just boring. It's just a straight numbers buff to the unit in exchange for speed. But if you're going mech with slow units like thors or siege tanks then you don't want speed in the first place. So it makes those pushes that more powerful.

The Thor heavy missile also has only marginally more DPS than the Broodlord and marginally more range (10 vs. 9.5), and doesn't spawn broodlings.
The thor was never meant to be an anti-broodlord unit. But it works in a pinch. The difference between the missiles and the anti air cannons is strictly number of attacks. Because the missiles are 6x4 and the cannons are.. correct me if I'm wrong but it's 1 attack at a flat 24 damage, the armor of broodlords is a lot less effective, netting you 23 damage vs 20 damage. Not a big difference, but if you know you'll be fighting nothing but broodlords, there's no reason to keep your thors in missile mode. Corruptors start out at 2 armor so it's even more noticable against them. 22 damage vs 16.

It also loses its fairly substantial splash ability, in return for a fairly minor damage upgrade. It's not really worth it.

The Thor heavy missile is only worth it if you will hit literally only one air unit. If you hit even two, the Javelin aoe missile is better than the punisher cannon.
Yeah it could use some work. A very slight buff. Maybe something like 28 damage or 30 damage max. Or just adjust it in some other way to differentiate it. Increase range to 11.
My first long game in HotS. PvT. I won. I don't think I make enough production for 3/4 bases at the end game. But I do chronoboost like a champ.
@Dhalphir can you watch this replay, not for everything I don't want to waste your time with my noobness, but just to tell me how much production facilities I should have at so-and-so points of the game. It's hard for me to grasp, as a zerg player, cause usually I get all my production by just expanding like a maniac.

In HotS? Wouldn't it just be the same as in WoL but even better thanks to increased medivac healing?

It probably needs a buff.
