If yes, check out game 2 of Virtus.Pro versus No Tidehunter of Starladder 5 to know what not to do in the drafting phase.
Basically, do not let your opponent have Keeper of the Light and Nyx Assassin AND Magnus, you fucking silly goose.
Jesus, is this for real?
Because I'm as fucking scrub league as they come, and even I know better.
The worst part? No Tidehunter got all three heroes in the first pick phase. And they added a Phantom Lancer on top of this, ensuring that scrubs would miss the point, that of course the carry would get freefarm if you gave his team the two best supports, and continue whining about Cancer Lancer for doing his job.
People build force staff because it's like a true damage Dagon that also gives you positioning ability. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it certainly isn't amazing on him.
EDIT: Also, speaking of Dagon, Shadow Demon with Dagon, while stupid because he's generally support, is kind of hilarious when he goes mid, does really well, and proceeds to fire 50% buffed dagon blasts at people three levels lower than him.
The problem with Force Staff is that BS doesn't really suffer from terrible mobility (Thirst haste) so other than using it to trigger his ulti, the utility of the item is relatively wasted. On an item that's largely picked up for its utility, that's kind of a dumb choice.
Then again, Bloodseeker's overall strategy is pretty much "stomp hard enough that your items don't matter" so...

Lion/lina lane with one rushing dagon and other arcane is hilarious when you have both ults and dagon. The available burst means someone always dies!

Whenever I look at blood's kit, it seems like he should just clean house. But even in scrubland it's difficult to carry with him. I don't think force staff is worth it either. The ult is good for locking down a problematic enemy, but against good players, you never seem to get much burst damage out of it. Half the time I see BS's build it, they just end up force staffing their prey away to safety.
I've seen guys go on huge early game feeding frenzies only to get shut down late because Blood just can't seem to carry all that well.

he is a melee carry with no staying power. If you can keep him from getting the kills, he is pretty easy to marginalize.

Blood is dominant in mid game, drops down in late game, and becomes excellent again in late-late game when you can start using a Rupture to force someone to stand still and then use your other skill as a constant +120% damage steroid.
People forget Seeker can use that skill as a buff instead of a silence.
A gigantic buff.
It's seriously the strongest non-ultimate steroid in the game. Bfly first Seeker hits ridiculously hard.
edit: anecdotal evidence, I won a game in which I was behind by getting a butterfly/daedalus bloodseeker going and using the steroid on myself to crit people's faces off.
Treads/BKB/Butterfly/Daedalus/Abyssal Blade/<item of choice> would be a solid super end game build to shoot for.
SnY doesn't suck on everyone. why do people keep blindly repeating this BS when pro-teams take it sometimes on their main carry?
and dagon is pretty good on him. If you can dagon someone to steal a kill, thats +40% of their max health back as an instant heal. it also counters ghost scepter, which is otherwise a great item to counter him.
can't bloodrage through bkb + awful cast point = useless late game steroid (please other team allow me like 7 and a half seconds to buff myself before we fight k?) = useless carry hero gg volvo please delete
Lord of Avernus is being released soon(ish). Is anyone actually going to pick him in tourneys? I really enjoy his playstyle, but I cannot think of any situation where I would prefer him over Omniknight.

I made their pudge rage quit. THEIR PUDGE! Pudge is the one who makes other people rage quit.
From before Navi switched the team around but it's a weird match. Wisp mid, kunkka, dazzle, lich's, support gyro

though in the current meta, him not being carry is not typical
Heh, that is, until they find out blood's weakness....
Why did neither of you mention spiritbreaker pick?

...Yup, that Nyx Assassin totally used a scroll of town portal. Case closed, let's go get drunk boys!

Like I get that he's amazing played well, but wow. Just getting to 6 feels like a major trial. (Then everything gets awesome.)

Skywrath front and center, Abaddon bottom right, and Elder Titan top right.
Doing it wrong
He still stomps pubs. I don't know why people build force staff on him, carry items + his Q=super deeps

Wait, you mean playing support isn't about being a one man early game death machine?
They lied to me.

Aware of it, making that point, and waiting on them to release the guy with whom it'd be done right, too.
It's a pug thing. Sometimes you get a team who knows what he's about. More often you get one that thinks you meant to pick omniknight.
There's a Earthshaker, a carry Treant, and a freaking Ogre Magi
