I hate the conversations debating the sanctity of pick order versus the sanctity of calling first.
There is no debate. Practically speaking if you pick first, you will be able to pick what you want anyways. The idea that you can somehow call what you want is absurd because the person picking ahead of you functionally has the priority because he will be able to pick a champion before you.
You can call whatever you want, but that can't prevent him from picking that because the game mechanic allows him to pick before you.
It is funny that people get all bent out of shape about it though

Play Leblanc in dominion where they have to fight you to hold/take towers. Laugh your ass off and feel no guilt, none.
You know, I've never played her in Dominion, I only sometimes play her on TT. But I still would feel silly paying $7.50 for what's basically a recolor of a champion I find fun but rarely play.

Suppose, I think she's pretty awesome in dominion, sure sometimes their entire teams tanky, but usually there's an assassain or AD carry you can bully out of all but the late game and get reasonably fed to be scary even when your supposed to be falling off.
Tournaments are usually a patch behind aren't they? It's not surprising that they don't run tournaments on the recent season 3 stuff because it's a pretty big shift that's still being balanced (as funny as seeing league of cleavers at a competitive level would be).

Because the tournament realm is always 1 or 2 patches behind. In this case its two patches because of the balance patch. Watching a s3 IEM with out the balance patch would have been stupid. 'oh look blackclevers everywhere'.
Its how every tournament is played. Its likely the last tournament that on the s2 patch.

Played Teemo last night for the first time in a long time. I figured I play him one last time before the nerf hits him.
2 of my team members hate, and I do mean HATE, Teemo. One was jungling and other was mid. They let me know about it but in a friendly non-d-bag way. Game starts with 4 man gank top with dead Teemo followed by witty comments and jokes(some PG rated while others are NSFW materials). I got ganked through out the game without any break and very little CS. Other team piled it on via /all chat with my own team mates adding in but again in most friendly way.
My team last badly due to everyone being bad. But it was fun friendly game with many laughs every time I died. These guys were true sportsmen like.
They all gave me honors since I rolled with their jokes and didn't rage.

Uh, TSM's weekly tournament or whatever ran yesterday on the S3 patch and went just fine. In fact it showed some really ridiculous use of homeguard, among other things. Watching people play a game that doesn't exist anymore is the height of ridiculousness.
