Uh, TSM's weekly tournament or whatever ran yesterday on the S3 patch and went just fine. In fact it showed some really ridiculous use of homeguard, among other things. Watching people play a game that doesn't exist anymore is the height of ridiculousness.
The game does still exist. It's just had a re-balance and the addition of new items.
This is like saying that Wings of Liberty doesn't exist when Heart of the Swarm came out.
I agree I'd have liked to see a S3 tournie (and if anyone has a vod of S3 Nidalee send it me, I wants to learn) but claiming that the game their playing the same one we are playing minus new stuff and balance shifts isn't real is a bit silly.

TSM's weekly tournament is more of just an exhibition game they do. It's not a sanctioned tournament hosted by Riot. Riot has always run their tournaments a patch or two behind for increased stability and to ensure that any game breaking bugs that get through are not in the tournament scene. And even if they do get through they disable the champion causing the bug. They have always done this, and there is no reason to not do it.
The tournament scene will catch up to the S3 changes soon, expecting them to just jump over is the "height of ridiculousness" as there is a lot more at stake in the sanctioned tournaments than TSM's weekly tournament.

TLDR: % Pen too high, health on cleaver is bullshit. Flat pen nerfs were tackling the problem wrong.
Also the ability to stack % pen items with the flat pen coming after % pen. Cleaver + LW + Masteries is 58% armor pen. This means that small amounts of flat armor pen(say 36 total) will have you dealing true damage up to 85 armor and having roughly 60% of armor over that be worthless.
Two items more or less negate purchasing armor while still being valuable against low armor targets.
I'd rather have league of cleaver than league of boots+pots and gp/10+oracles.

I've been starting dorans, but might try flask/pots/ward. QEQW, R->Q->E->W, sorcs, deathcap, lichbane, zhonyas, DFG, situational defensive ap.
I don't get dfg early because auto - QEW - auto + ignite or ult melts people once you get lichbane.

If I had to point out any one thing that the community does that is probably the most irritating. It would be that. People need to realize others will make mistakes. If you absolutely feel the need to point it out, once is really enough as spending the next 2-3 minutes in a giant discussion about it during the game is not really going to make anyone play better or do well.
In fact it almost always has the opposite effect of pissing one or both (or the entire team) off and they end up making more mistakes because they are pissed off.
And then of course we can't let those new mistakes go unnoticed so we need to be sure to point them out and start up even more discussions (read: insult matches) about them, etc etc.

If you absolutely feel the need to point it out, once is really enough as spending the next 2-3 minutes in a giant discussion about it during the game is not really going to make anyone play better or do well.
In fact it almost always has the opposite effect of pissing one or both (or the entire team) off and they end up making more mistakes because they are pissed off.
And then of course we can't let those new mistakes go unnoticed so we need to be sure to point them out and start up even more discussions (read: insult matches) about them, etc etc.

Sounds like an excellent reason to keep making 'bad' throws. It's entirely possible to teamkill in this game, if you're Singed, Jayce, Ali or Vayne.
