Ok so these donations are for PA forumer anoffday to complete an LP of Bad Rats before the start of the Steam Winter Sale on 12/20. The Donations will go to Child's Play at the completion.
Donations will be accepted up until the start of the Steam Holiday Sale
If you all raise, let's give you a challenge, $1,225 dollars then I will LP something of your choosing from my Steam library. If someone is willing to gift me something (I am kinda broke) and the community wants me to LP that, then I will begrudgingly accept the gift.
I don't have a means to donate currently, but I'll tell you something I will do. For a paltry donation of $10 to this cause, I'll write a song complete with lyrics, vocals, and a bitching solo to be the theme of this horrible game's playing. All songs will be offered up for free download on Soundcloud in WAV, FLAC, and MP3 so you can hear how awful I am.
If someone can think of something for me to do at $2k, I'm willing to offer myself up. I'm not a forum celeb or anything, but offer is on the table! :P

As of now, I can confirm (via Steam friend activity pop-up) that anoffday is at the moment playing Bad Rats! Success!
Actually he hung himself and his computer is just left with Bad Rats idling, no note needed because the cops will see he had 23 minutes of playtime in Bad Rats and know why.
So, in an effort to relieve my huge backlog woes, and indecisiveness on what to play next, @Krummith added to my backlog by gifting me FTL! And I will play that next!

Is there a lot of people who still pay company of heroes multiplayer?
It's far from dead but it's not super duper populated. A lot of the people who play are better than awful since they've been playing so long so you might get your ass kicked. On the other hand the Humble Bundle may have brought in new blood. The CoH 2 alpha appears to be running on the same server or something so lately the CoH server has been sort of slow but yes, it's still alive.
Steam thread, @Big Isy is baller, there is no doubt. But his current pledge smacks of overextension made in a fit of well meaning exuberance. And this on the heels of exuberance in the Far Cry 3 gifting department.
We've got days more for donations to come in. We don't need to hit all the stretch goals right this second. He should allowed (and maybe encouraged) to walk that pledge back a ways. Maybe take it down from Insanity City to Crazy Town level.

So here's the backstory. I just recently upgraded my PC. I got a code for a free copy of AC 3. The website to redeem it was glitched all day yesterday for the US. I thought the promotion was over, and complained over chat to someone at Newegg. They said they'd send another code and if that one didn't work would do something else for me.
I figure if I'm getting another code, might as well see if the code I have works in a different region. It did. I can't use it on the Uplay store. Might as well give it away to someone who can use it, and mess with the new one I'm getting saturday for me.
