I mean, sure, statistically you'll run into less assholes because there are less people... But I've not once been cheesed using the noob tube or people running around with the shotgun/knife combo..
Although I do think someone was hacking. Actually I KNOW he was hacking... He sent out like 100 of those remote drones and the sky was full of them.
The Conduit 3 is going to blow BLOPS2 away #trufax
Alright and in this next scene all the animals have AIDS.
I got a little excited when I saw your ship.

I've tried playing the Remote/Nunchuck, but just can't get it to feel right. I don't know if it's the dead-zone area or what, but it feels really weird to me. Maybe I'll need to give it another go.
Anyone who uses the remote on BLOPS2 have suggestions settings they're using for best results?
Hey all! So I have had a Wii U for bit now and I really dig it, despite a few hiccups I hope will be adressed( Why the 3DS could handle eshop DSiWare transition/launching DS games from the main menu and Wii U can't pull off the equivalent actions for Wii I'm not sure) . I have NSMB U, NintendoLand, and ZombiiU. Most of my time has been spent messing about in MiiVerse though. I just love the sketch Twitter nature of it and it gives me an excuse to flex my artistic chops every other day or so.
My NNid is "Dasherino" if you want to friend or follow my stuff. Not playing anything online at the moment so I won't be much fun there but thats not what this is about. I needs those sweet sweet "Yeahs!"...

I picked up my first Pro gamepad. I swear, Nintendo knows how to make the best gamepads in the industry, and have for a long time. While it is very similar in size to the Xbox 360 one, it just FEELS bigger, and yet more comfy. Shame it doesn't have the gyros in it or analog triggers, but oh well.
I also might pick up a classic controller pro so I have a cheap option for Sonic and Sega All Stars that has the button configuration actually right. I know what Nintendo was going for with the original Classic Controller, but in retrospect.. ugh. I actually blame Sega more for only having 2 control options per system.
(Also, don't play Sonic with the wii wheel. Way too imprecise. Remote + Nunchuck's kind of a bitch too.)

I'll add you when I'm on the WiiU next time, but what on earth do the "Yeahs!" do?
Betilla looks like a Skullgirls reject now, and her intro cutscene was really creepy and sexual.
The demo has none of the faeries, and they actually added a female character. She's really awesome, too, so hopefully they're trying to make up for the weird boob faeries.
The "Rayman tries to blow up Betilla's skirt." cutscene is not in Origins, thankfully. That cutscene is from back when Origins was going to be episodic and...actually focus on Rayman's Origins. Now the game is AFTER Rayman 1, and we never see Betilla (or anyone) "create" Rayman.
That cutscene is also really weird now because, in the final game, everyone speaks Pig Latin.

It's more or less a way to both agree with a post and also follow it, so new "Yeah's" and comments on it will show up I'm your notifications.
Also, @Athenor, totally agree about the Pro Controller. Nintendo knocked it out of the park with that one. Even the non-analog triggers don't bother me at all, since none of the games I normally play would need them anyway. Built in motion control would be nice, but oh well, I'll deal. I'm sure the 80 hour battery life will make up for that.
I'm really appreciating the Wii U's right analog stick and button layout too the more I use it. I've become so used the the 360's layout, I had some trouble adjusting to this at first. Now though, it feels much more naturally for my thumbs to be on the same horizontal plane and to slide down occasionally for button access instead of the other way around. Really glad they settled on this layout.

One of those great Nintendo touches is the massively long USB cable. I don't know if the PS3 did that or not. I kinda wish it was the same kind of USB micro that my phone uses, but I think a USB mini is more rugged and less prone to snapping, so that's good.
And they might make it longer, if that survey I took is any indication.
Though I kind of wish that the power brick was Apple style, instead of being centered. But yes. For as many missteps as Nintendo made in their first time outings (like online and patching), their established strengths are still the strongest in the business. It's why I get so sad/angry at everyone who says Nintendo will get out of the console business in x+1 generations - Nintendo is actually a fairly adaptable company these days, they just need to make a mistake to learn from it.
It also establishes a kind of empathical link between you and the one you Yeah, technology a first of its kind.

I've noticed a few different flavor of Yeah! show up at random, such as "Yeah..." and "Yeah!?" Not sure what that's about.
I was looking into this some tonight, and though I haven't confirmed it yet, I believe it has something to do with facial expression the original person used in their post. So if they post with a sad expression, you'll get the "Yeah...", if they post with the surprised expression, you'll get the "Yeah!?", etc. Like I said, I'm not positive this is how it works, but I think it at least has something to do with it.
It occurred to me last night how ironic is it that, while "Gamers" bitched about the Wii only outputting a 480p signal, I sense a majority of players having no qualms with playing on the Gamepad screen...which is 480p, essentially.

As usual there is no telling who was talking about what at what time. It's not like all of these people used to say this, and now they say this. And I've seen plenty of people complain about the idea of looking at a 480p screen, while others defend it on the size basis which is legitimate based on studies about what the human eye can appreciate.

I can't tell if you're joking or not... damn you internet!
On the off chance you aren't joking, that was a Hunter-Killer Swarm. Top tier scorestreak reward, and it is awesome!
But CODBLOPS2 is intriguing to me just because I want a Wii Remote/Nunchuck shooter to play.
Though I should really finish up Goldeneye first.

Unfortunately I don't think it works that way. I'll check today to see if it's possible but I'm doubting it.

Which is pretty cool, because I don't think many people realize that you can use the gamepad as a stand in sensor bar if needed.

ZombiU is shaping up to be the game that eats up most of my free time. I've even put aside unlocking any secret levels in NSMBU.
