Now, barring a complete cock-up, I think Lego City Stories will be a game I get no matter what. Looks like good shit.

Alright and in this next scene all the animals have AIDS.

I got a little excited when I saw your ship.

Well I'm already buying Lego City, and I've been playing Lego Batman with my son on Xbox. As long as the price is within reason I'll probably just pick up the Wii U version of Batman 2. I'll probably have to pick up a pro controller though. I'm not sure he's got the dexterity for Wiimote+Nunchuck.

This is actually really good news. I'm trying to distance myself from my Xbox and it was already going to become my Lego back catalog machine. Now they just need to release Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga on Wii U and I'm set.

I can say that if they did the Lego back catalog available in the eShop for like $20 each I would probably buy the majority of them...again.

It's kinda ridiculous to say that one game will "save" the Wii U.

Software in general will "save" the Wii U. Once games are available that people want to play, they'll buy the system, the same way they did with the 3DS.

Nah, the WiiU is doomed. Dooooooooooooooooooooooooooomed

Lego City sounds fantastic and I've been excited for it since it's been announced, but I can't afford a WiiU right now. I'll likely pick one up later this year along with the first big first party title (probably Wind Waker or the new Mario) and then maybe get Lego City for Christmas.

Lego City Undercover is going to have the advantage in that not only does it look like a great game, but because it's the first thing in a long time it should get a lot more attention than it would otherwise.

But at the same time the console is not getting a lot of attention, so the game won't necessarily get attention either. I think very few people are going to buy the system just for this game.

I mean more among the people who already own the console. I'm not going to say that the game is in a good position overall, just better than it would be otherwise.

All they have to do is let people know the title of the game, that it's on WiiU and just plaster that T-Rex photo all over the place.

If I were to buy a Wii U, what Wii must have games are there? As in, what games would be really hard to get a hold of later on down the road.

Xenoblade is already hard to get ahold of. Honestly I would wait for a reissue or Wii U remake or something.

It's hard to say what else might be hard to get later. Currently The Last Story is reasonably priced and may become rare-ish, I recommend that.

Most games you might think would be hard to get are reasonably priced. Games like Muramasa, A Boy and His Blob, MadWorld, Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles...all for like $20 each on ebay. Eventually that will dry up though.

I dunno about 'reasonably priced' but aside from the already mentioned Xenoblade, you could try to find a copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy; I understand it's pretty difficult to get ahold of?

Both Super Mario Galaxies for sure are must have, but shouldn't be hard to find down the road.

I personally enjoyed Go Vacation; not necessarily a 'party game', but more of a ton of minigames connected with a big world you can explore and collect things in. Boom Blox was pretty decent too.

Yeah, that Prime Trilogy has only been slowly rising in price since it got discontinued. It was $60+ on Amazon back when I was looking for it, and now it's $80+.

I kinda got lucky and came across a local seller who was selling it for way less than average because it was missing it's plastic slip cover.

Very angry I didn't do the same with the other 2 Wii RPGs that were never supposed to come out here.

So glad I got a new copy of Xenoblade from gamestop online 2 months ago, must of been one of the last few new copies they still had, as a few weeks after that everyone started to have trouble finding it, and the price is going up like crazy.

and I just pre-ordered Pandora's Tower yesterday, make sure I don't run into those same sort of shortages again.
