Rizzi got through (though the game crashed on him later) without ever changing much. It could be that the gwfl of things is getting hammered?
Also check if your gwfl is up-to-date, that autoinstaller is a boat of fail so a manual install may help. And check your task manager for any setup.exe type processes, I've had an instance in the past where the .net installer stalled with no reason and it halted launching games.
If I was to buy the THQ pack and put it in my gift inventory, is each game an item? Or is it one whole pack that I'd have to give to one person?
I would also like the answer to this question, if anyone knows. I own about half of them already, and it's the half I'm more interested in, but if I could gift them...
Civics is not a consumer product that you can ignore because you don’t like the options presented.

I noticed Deponia is one of the canditates to be Community's Choice deal for 66% off while the game is already discounted 66% for the duration of the sale. Smart!

Congrats to @baudattitude for winning my Skyrim giveaway! Sent it to you by email
Wow, I did not expect my number to come up thank you very much, sir, this will be my first elder scrolls game since, uh, since one that came on 1.2MB floppies.
Any "must have" DLC for the Total War games? I don't think I'm willing to bite on the $40 pack with everything.
Which one? Most of them are unit packs which are cool but not necessary. Fall of the Samurai is the best DLC as it's basically a full game.
Any/all of them. Fall of the Samurai's included in the cheaper pack, so no worries there.
Rise/Fall of the Samurai are excellent in their own right, especially Fall. I really enjoyed the Ikko Ikki clan, and I think there were some new ones that I haven't got around to. Hattori was all right but not my style.
So is the Void worth it? All I've really heard is that it's by the same guys who made Pathologic, which is in some way praise and in some way a condemnation that the only thing the game can present to me is madness.
One moment @APODionysus was lost and wandering in the dark land of Lordran...the next he was classily gifting me with a copy of the Dungeons of Dredmor. Thank you for the chance to pull myself away from Dark Souls...maybe.

The Ikko Ikki/Hattori/Otomo are all pretty fun clans for the original Shogun 2, they each introduce (other than Otomo, actually) new gameplay mechanics specific to that clan. The FotS clans are nothing special.

Make sure you mark the gift as recieved on SteamGifts if you got it. If not, then I guess contact me on Steam.
Also, wow, you're in for a treat. Skyrim is quite a game.
I'm still trying to catch up with the thread so I'm just dropping by to let you know that the ever so classy @Ov3rcharge surprised me with a copy of Counter Strike: Global Offensive. I played a LOT of 1.6 back in the day and have heard some good things about this new iteration so I can't wait to try it out. Thank you, sir!
Thanks @Caedwyr for the gift of Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3
I haven't been following the sale closely, so I was surprised this afternoon when a Steam window popped up notifying me that a classy individual ( @Incindium ) had gifted me AaaaaaaAAAaaaa from my wishlist. Of course, this act of classiness couldn't go unanswered. Thank you very much for a game about jumping from very high heights.

Allright: One of you mugs is going home with Super Meat Boy. Best to step forward now.
Use code HOLIDAY20 to get another 2 bucks off bringing it to 8 bucks.
Steam.
They also have Walking Dead, Hotline Miami, Skyrim, Dishonored, XCOM, Borderlands 2 for 50 percent off. With the 20 percent coupons those are all better deals that Steam has had or will have.
Steam needs to step it up a bit. Amazon, Greenman, and now even Gamefly are having better sales on big titles. I guess they can take comfort in beating Impulse at least.
I was wondering, is it possible to put a game you purchased for Steam via Amazon into your Steam gift inventory, or does activating the product key cause the game to be activated on your account?

Unfortunately, I don't think you can split packs into individual games. It's just one item in your inventory so you have to activate or gift the whole thing.

So I'm going to bed, and I get an email alert from my phone telling me that the enormously classy @Khildith just gifted me Max Payne 3 out of nowhere! God damn dude, you are a generous son of a gun.

Keys can only be activated, there's no way to turn them into inventory items. But you can gift the keys, just send them by email or PM and have them activate it on Steam.

Not possible, sadly. It will activate to your account unless you already have the game, in which case it just cancels the action.

Suddenly I seem to recall the community voting for a lot of dumb shit in the past.

Thank you. In a single act of class, you have transformed Dear Esther from a simple Wishlist resident to an actual, playable game in my Steam library.
Your kindness has been noted and recorded--you, Sir, have made "the list."

I think it might be @mazPA but i'll find out when i post this.
edit: no luck on either of those... damn it maz, what's your forum name!

Unfortunately, I have to spend the holiday out of town with my family. I wholly miss, in this order, my gaming rig and my dog and my girlfriend.

If I could Steam Chat on my phone it would be the best thing ever.

I know how you feel. I can get the steam desktop site on my tablet, but chat just won't work. There should be a chat app.
