Also, I'm sure this came up earlier, but Space Marine for sevenbuxfifty: worth it? I'm assuming yes, since Dawn of War has forever given me a soft spot for WH40k.
Fuck yes.
Any flaws or caveats I might have with Space Marine evaporate when considering you can get the entire game and DLC bundle for so cheap.
There's a demo if you're still on the fence, but seriously, it's a blast. Buy it.

Space marine is easily worth that yeah especially if you're a Warhammer 40K fan.
I think I'm about done with the sale. I made out pretty great between Steam, GMG, and Amazon. I'll probably grab Defender Quest, just waiting to see if it pops up as a daily. I'll also take a look at Walking Dead on Amazon's Editors Choice sale in Jan since I have a $5 credit coupon. If they put it down to 50% off, I can nab it for $7.50. That's hard to pass up.
The dev is a member of the forums, and he posted some codes in the DQ thread a few days back. Only a few have been openly claimed. I got a Steam key with my Beta purchase, and it looks like he is doing this with these free codes. http://forums.penny-arcade.com/discussion/comment/25251973/#Comment_25251973
I did not know the dev was a member. I bought this after hearing bout it in the thread. I've got to say, I think it's faboo. It's a great game and well worth the $5 I shelled out for it.
@Krummith being the Classhole that he is dropped a key for Cave Story+ on me this afternoon, should go great with the XBox 360 For PC Controller my wife got me for Christmas, Thanks dude.
What's the verdict on the Orcs Must Die 2 DLC? Is the complete pack worth it or just go for the base game?
I wish I could help. I picked up complete during the thanksgiving sale, so I've never experienced it without. The DLC is good fun and adds a few maps I hear too, I'm not there yet.
Only two enties, but @Satsumomo is the lucky winner. Congratulations!
Woo! Thank you!
Wasn't interested in the game until just yesterday that I started reading some recommendations, but I was still skeptical, but now I will definitely have to try it out.
Nice to see Sleeping Dogs as the best selling game atm. Its totally worth every cent. I was hoping the Zodiac DLC would get like, a dollar off, but they did just release it.

To be fair, I think he only joined after the Zeboyd guys were talking about the game here, but he seems like a genuinely good dude, and I recommend supporting him in any case.
Also, I should probably signal @Podunk to catch this post.
After seeing better deals have happened I think I'm going to take a wait and see on Sleeping Dogs. I'd rather get more bang for my buck with my Christmas steam bucks. Why are people buying Fairy Bloom Freesia? And to re-ask are there any good brawlers on Steam?
I played Gravity Bone back during the summer, but was just slightly too gun-shy to throw down some cold, hard digital cash at the sequel. At $2.50 I wasn't even consciously aware of buying it, it just kinda happened.
Okay, you all were not kidding about Hotline Miami. What a great game for five buckers.
Thought that game had bugs out the wazoo which prevented me from purchasing it. :c
The game is a little buggy, but Dennaton has been working pretty hard on fixes and the game is well worth any minor technical issues to get to the utterly captivating and unique meat of the game.
All right, Space Marine acquired. Along with some DLC for Sleeping Dogs and XCOM.
And Fairy Bloom Freesia.
I-it was four dollars.
...how fucked am I.
Fairy Bloom Freesia is actually a lot of fun. Worth $4 anyway.
Yeah, $4 is comfortably within my "fuck it, I'll try anything once" threshold. It certainly looks fun and colorful, even if I have no idea what the hell is going on. Something about a fairy beating stuff up in the forest, which I'm rather okay with.

So I'm having a display problem in FTL. Not in all instances, but in some, pixels look smooshed together. Like the "Options" line under each character when you start a game, and some other places here and there. It also happens with some icons (though I forget which at the moment).
Is this a known thing?

I am guessing the Steam version of Jet Set Radio is actually a Dreamcast emulator or something, cause a 10 year old game has no other reason to be running this terribly on my PC.

I got a framerate of like, 7 fps here.
Reboot. Same exact thing happened to me. I found a solution online, it makes no sense but it worked.
I have decimated my budget (again) but I can get the BL2 season pass for $10 right now, using the 30% off coupon and $1.50 worth of trade-in credit. Steam enablers, do I do it and complete my 2012 sale?

So I just played some Natural Selection 2 for the first time. It's been yeeeears but I remembered enough from the original to successfully skulk a bit. Me likey.
First of I'd like to thank @RoyceSraphim for Endless Space, a most generous and classy gift, which I had to decline - I had it already, but hadn't had time in the bustle of the holidays to activate it yet. Thanks Royce! May it find a deserving home.
Some winners!
Is for @übergeek. There was some nonsense where the classy sumbitch tried to convince me to re-roll for a more deserving person, which I feel proves utterly his deservedness. I don't even care if deservedness is a word.
Merry Christmas folks!
Now... to catch up on the 33 pages of thread I've missed...
So, I've sent another message to Test about getting him to get it rerolled. His online times are later at night then I might be awake so I have no idea when we'll get a response. I just feel guilty that I'm not going to touch it for -months- and one of you other guys could be playing it right now. I'm currently playing Walking Dead, AC Rev, LoL, DoTA2, Tribes and Planetside 2 all over the course of the night every night just to work on the backlog, I just lack enough time.
Did pretty good too, though I always thought I botched the big soliloquy.
God, I wish we still had the Awesome Posts forum, because it makes me sad to think how many people are not going to jump into the monster Steam sale thread and see this.

The funny thing is that the colorful and flowery fairy game is markedly more difficult than the supposedly adult grrr one :P.
Yeah, the first boss has an attack that is basically "I win, you die" on normal difficulty unless you've fully upgraded your block skill - and since he's the FIRST boss, you probably don't have a lot of skill points to throw into block yet.
Would strongly recommend the first play through for anyone to be on easy, after which you can roll your purchased skills over into a NG+

There was an $8 (or $6 depending on your choice) deal for it on GMG last week, which is where I got it.
I can certainly echo the sentiment that the city itself is amazingly realized, and combat is fun.

Want Xcom but we're in the middle of a sale and even though I know it won't go on a daily I just have to wait in case
