All right, Space Marine acquired. Along with some DLC for Sleeping Dogs and XCOM.
And Fairy Bloom Freesia.
I-it was four dollars.
...how fucked am I.
The funny thing is that the colorful and flowery fairy game is markedly more difficult than the supposedly adult grrr one :P.
Yeah, the first boss has an attack that is basically "I win, you die" on normal difficulty unless you've fully upgraded your block skill - and since he's the FIRST boss, you probably don't have a lot of skill points to throw into block yet.
Would strongly recommend the first play through for anyone to be on easy, after which you can roll your purchased skills over into a NG+
You don't need all the points, I found, at least on Normal. If you block and position yourself it's quite doable. I think I didn't have points in block there yet.
Now, the third boss? Freaking ninja wizards, man. Better come with full block or a really good timing at doing Just Defenses, or you're going to see the floor a lot.
Also, I'm sure this came up earlier, but Space Marine for sevenbuxfifty: worth it? I'm assuming yes, since Dawn of War has forever given me a soft spot for WH40k.
Oh, Yes--Space Marine is *so* worth $7.50.
Though who can truly put a price on feeling like a total badass? And Orcs (Orcz?) screaming at you with British accents.

I'm glad to see that you are having to earn your fairy wings!
How nitpicky are the Rainbow Six Vegas games? I love Vegas, but I suck at games where you poke your head out at the wrong time and are instantly dead and have to start over.
Jesus Hotline Miami is good. The soundtrack alone is completely worth the money. Wish I had paid full price for it now instead of grabbing it on sale.
If you'd like to show additional support for the game, the soundtrack is available here, and includes links to the artists who contributed tracks to the game:
Fun fact: the full version of the title track ("Horse Steppin'" is ten fucking minutes long).

They aren't my cup of joe so I haven't played them, but from what I understand there's no more planning stage and there is a cover system and regenerating health. So probably not as unforgiving as the earlier installments.

This. They are nothing like the originals. Typical cover base shooter. Pop into 3p for cover. Not badly executed for what they are though. They are rather forgiving. They're designed with a controller in mind. You can always coop up with someone too.
Edit: Just added a few line that's probably actually the most critical to the actual question asked:)
I hate to come begging into the Steam thread but boy howdy that's what I'm doing.
I bought two copies of the Dead Rising 2 all in one pak a few days ago whilst on vacation to play with the BF and it appears you can't actually buy two at once and so I only got one. Does anyone have an extra I can buy off of them or buy them something in return? Shoot me a PM or similar electro-message.

Are the DLCs for Space Marine worthwhile? I have the basic game (still in the game bank) and I'm not sure if I want to get the Dreadnought DLC or the Chaos Map Pack.

I havent been able to find anyone on multi for ages on that game, so i'd say probably not worth it unless you have people you can play it with already.

Nah, they're all for multiplayer and that must be pretty dead by now I think

Woohoo, finally got a payment to go through with Green Man Gaming and picked up the BL2 season pass for $10.50! I wonder if it wasn't working because I was using the internet connection at work?

Weird. Are you making sure to say yes to Steamworks when you boot it up? I know there are no in-game notifications for getting achievements, but I definitely got them when I was playing it.

Your npc buddies in R6V are BEASTS and will cheerfully clear rooms for you with little or no risk on your part.
The first level of the first game is frightfully brown, unfortunately. Once you get through it, though, you get to Vegas proper and it turns into a really pretty game.
Working my way through DX:HR when I saw some notifications pop up one right after the other. @mercutio87 sent me not one, not two, but three quality titles - FTL, The Binding of Isaac, and Dungeons of Dredmor.
That's very classy of you and I really appreciate it.
I think that the internet has been for years on the path to creating what is essentially an electronic Necronomicon: A collection of blasphemous unrealities so perverse that to even glimpse at its contents, if but for a moment, is to irrevocably forfeit a portion of your sanity.

I enabled it, but I'm having the same problem. The game does warn that Steamworks may cause problems, so I'm not sure if there's a workaround (or just decide not to use it).
I know it's a bit late, but I finally got my Christmas paycheck and gifts in and could drop in what I pledged for Child's Play... and a little bit extra.
Now I've just got to LP something terrible for you guys.
Yeah it's a known bug. It wasn't registering my achievements either, but suddenly started unlocking them normally without me changing anything.
Sounds like a similar issue The Binding of Isaac had. If they'll unlock retroactively, then it's fine.
Based on the enormous praise from Giant Bomb, I'm interested in trying out the free flash game Frog Fractions. I was wondering if there was a way to save the game directly and add it as a non-Steam shortcut.
If that involves any dubious methods or programs, then disregard the question.

Not very. I'll be the first to admit I hate trial and error, and I really enjoyed the hell out of both games. Regenerating health is a big part of that on lower difficulties, but if you turn the difficulty up, it's usually one shot kill. With the sweet cover system and streamlined AI cohorts, it'll be fun regardless, but difficulty will make a big difference in how much abuse you can take.
The multiplayer is great fun too, so if all you want to do is get on with a friend and shoot some terrorists, there's the terrorist hunt mode available, although the enemy spawn system in that mode can be cheap at times. Definitely keeps you on your toes, though.
@Professor_Snugglesworth is a scholar and a gentleman, gifting me Cave Story out of the blue. Much obliged, sir.

Ahhhhhhh. FTL FINALLY went on sale!
I've almost paid full price for it so many times (and I'm sure it would have been worth it), but since there's no metagame for this sale I have to invent my own--like playing the home game of "The Price is Right" with my wishlist . . . .
It finally kind of feels like a Steam sale when you can say "I could pick up drive thru for two on the way home... Or I could get half a dozen tactical shooters AND make points with the wife by cooking dinner instead."
Just have to go through the game bank and see which ones I'm missing.

Jeez, while I love it when we get soundtracks with these various Indie Bundles, it's annoying when you get that occasional one that has no mp3tag information in it, or just messed up information. Cave Story+ and Basement Collection, I am looking at you.
