Man I played the shit out of the pen and paper WoD, and I would have killed for an MMO. The Vampire game has been sitting on my steam wishlist patiently for years now, but it never seems to be cheap when I have money.
I'm really interested in the logistics that make our online game experiences seem smooth.
variety of methods, mostly highly efficient air exchangers and rack built cooling towers.
Yeah you don't have a lot of options here unless you have some unique geography. I know of some Toronto data centers that use cold water from Lake Ontario for heat exchange.
Those old WOW servers they auctioned off look like HP p-Class blades, nothing too exotic. But quantity is a quality all its own.

yo dawgs
what was that game in dev that's got hacking in a real-time cityscape
they put out a gameplay reel (possibly at the last E3) that made everyone shit their pants, where the player hacked a stoplight to cause his assassination target to crash his car

this talk of Cyberpunk reminded me of it

Vaporware.
They are still extraordinarily dumb, but they are better nowadays.
I *think* maybe 10 of those people still have jobs.
So uhhh, don't go holding your breath for WoD
also the server farm, circa 2009-2010 was rivaled only by WoW. It was ungodly huge.
there's a list of people on this forum I have at the fucking ready
Twitch (I stream most days of the week)
Twitter (mean leftist discourse)

Not anymore she doesn't!
Because I remember that as World of Darkness, and I got super excited for a second there.
But no reason to be excited.
Seems they fired everyone!
Also I hate the way their games play.
Anyone have any thoughts?
I had very good friends on the senior team. I got to go in and snoop out all the concept shit and artwork and early stuff.
Had they been able to keep it going, the game would have been amazing.

do i
Except that its a PS3 exclusive
glaring so hard at you Naughty Dog.
I've got a PS3 that I purchased specifically for compelling exclusives
so this is fine by me
and yeah I got really excited about it
hope it lives up to the promise of that gameplay trailer
Watch Dogs is multi platform by Ubisoft.
Are you thinking of The Last Of Us? That's Naughty Dog.
Uncharted
Heavy Rain
All games I would love to play
All games I won't be able to play because I don't want to spend another bunch of money on a new system.
are you confusing it with naughty dog, ps3-exclusive developer of uncharted and the last of us
and ubisoft is not known for exclusives (quite the opposite)
so I'm inclined to think that's accurate
I haven't seen the video in a while.

If I'm ever on Steam when you're ready to face a boss, just message me and I'll jolly co-op with you.
Eeexcellent.
They showed another video of the Last of Us that was the exact same scenario played completely different with a different outcome
Also it comes out in like 3 months
Watch Dogs is still an unknown for me.
that will be ridiculous
I mean they're using the term revengance so that's a pretty good indicator,
but I really hope they don't even try for faux-gravitas the way the MGS series did, instead just go for balls to the wall action all the way through.
I will be poor enough at the gameplay that I can't justify paying more for that, at least.
Even though I'm going to suck at the gameplay, it looks like so much fun.
Steam
I can rarely justify spending that much on a game
It's pretty fun, although the humor is more grating than funny
Same goes for the fact that it keeps crashing and locking my computer up
I'm just hoping that a decent amount of the stupid fun is not part of the 20 hours of cutscenes.

which I will never have to deal with because I tried command mode in training and the UI is awful is my excuse (I do not like rts games)
