Oh goddammit, I was just about to indulge in the Just Cause 2 sale (just upgraded my PC with Christmas money) and for some reason the Steam store is down and the sale ends in an hour.
Ok, here's the start of my New Years giveaway! I'm limited to only a few giveaways at a time, so this will likely run for the next week! Contributor limit set to $0.01 so you have to have given something and set to PA G&T Adventure Group.

Yeah, I've been resisting G&K for quite a while (because I am terrified of the Civ timesink, where you load the game one evening and the next thing you know you're divorced, jobless, and the calendar on your wall is fantastically out of date), but at that price I had to jump at it. I GMG.
I was tempted to say something about Mass Effect 3's ending but thankfully a nice young man from the government came round and punched me very hard in the stomach according to new legislature intended to get people to shut up about the ending to Mass Effect 3.
Couldn't resist G&K for £2.10. Bargain! My backlog might not be too impressed with me though.

Dammit, gonna have to wait until Just Cause 2 goes on sale again. Shoulda jumped on that earlier, but I wanted to try the demo to see how my rig responded to it.
Atom Zombie Smasher has been near the pointy end of my wishlist for a long, long time. For some reason I'd never quite got around to grabbing it. Even now, I was eyeing it up, thinking "Do I? Don't I? Decisions, decisions!"

Anyone know why I might be having this problem? I tried to purchase a game with steam mobile last night, added it to cart just fine, but once it got to payment it wouldn't load. Thoughts?

And, in a marvelous display of classiness, the kersploding began immediately with @Ashe bombing my inbox with a mystery game code. Upon activation, I was doubly pleased to discover that it was (a) Cave Story+ and (b) NOT Bad Rats. Thank you on both of those points!
Anno 2070 is worth a look if you like RTS civilization builder games. There is a little bit of combat that I haven't explored much yet, but it seems more focused on the building of production chains and levelling up your civilization. I'm going to probably add the DLC once the dailies roll over, but if you don't mind fighting the interface a little bit to figure out whats going on, it's a very pretty game with a decent story and some seriously complex production chains.

Also, about that DMC 4 flash sale: Wasn't the base winter sale price 66% off anyway? I don't think the price has actually gone down.
Finished TWD Episode 1 and 2 with my girlfriend in the past two days and I have to say that's very good storytelling right there. I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's a good game because, let's face it, you actually don't do anything most of the time but the choices you have to make are hard and the characters are written pretty damn good. Plus Clementine is the cutest!
