@RoyceSraphim is a total classhole that randomly gifted me Miner Wars. When the notification popped up I thought that I'd won one of my SteamGifts entries. But when I went to click the feedback button on the site, SG was all, "What chu talkin bout, you haven't won nuttin!" Unprompted class.
So when a character dies in Dungeon siege, usually after being beaten unconcious and pummeled by the mob of monester between this character and the rest of the party, they give a death yell and explode like a pinata stuffed with potions, armor, and weapons.
Its making this particular part of the dungeon a pain in my ass.

I posted this before but now that the threads a little slower I wanted to do it again.
I also want to take this moment to thank people. The last two months have been difficult for me. With repeated trips to the hospital and in addition to that the dental surgeon for my wisdom teeth. But through it I have been the recipient of, and witness to incredible acts of generosity, as well as the well wishes of many in the community.
Through both sickness and pain I have been lifted up by the people in this community and consistently given support though these trials and it has made all the difference.
And even with the bills that followed that have all but bankrupted me, I have been sent messages of support and sent games that have brightened my days.
I have been able to see incredible amounts of money raised for charity for children by incredible people that might play it off as no big deal but I know as someone who as been stuck in bed for weeks on end, are amazing acts of kindness.
Though I don't know many of your real names names, and have met even fewer of you in person. You have touch my life and I am better for it.
Thank you for being the classiest people and the kindest souls.

Guys. GUYS. I seriously played farming simulator for about 5 1/2 hours. It is so goddamn fun. @Khildith and @Viking and I all farmed up some canola, made about 200k and spent it all on tractors and upgraded farm stuff. SO FUN. OH MY GOD. We NEED like 7 more people for this game.

I really hope you enjoy Tomb Raider Legend enough to play Underworld afterwards. I thoroughly enjoyed Underworld, it was probably my favorite in the Tomb Raider series. The only thing I disliked was that the dlc is xbox exclusive, shame they couldn't release it for pc after all these years. It's almost regrettable the series is being rebooted again just after they were getting interesting, but the new one does look cool.

I will definitely be playing Underworld. Even though there are lots of things in Legend that I would consider "janky," I overall enjoyed it quite a bit. I played Anniversary several years ago, and I think it was better put together than Legend, and fixed much of the "jankiness." I rather look forward to Underworld, and sincerely hope the new Tomb Raider turns out awesome.

I was just saying to @Todesbart how FTL was below my impluse buy and how good the reviews here looked, but I didn't pick it up because XCOM is sucking me in in a huge way and I didn't need another game which looked so fantastic at the moment. But since the Newell hath bestowed it upon me perhaps I must enjoy!

Seriously. It's just rediculous how I can replay this game continuously. Such a good space rogue like. I've got two ship types unlocked and am working on the others and still haven't beat it yet.
I also find myself taking rediculous risks. Like "I think I can make those 3 jumps before the rebel fleet catches me." Or "better void the o2 from my entire ship except the cockpit because I only have a pilot and drones "
So after a great number of crashes (probably from the conflicting avatar mods), I finally got going into Civ V, Attila the Hun invaded shortly after we entered the classical era and took a city, with only two military units against Attlia's 5, I figured my time was up.
Didn't help I had a 2 year old in my lap, insisting on pushing buttons. I quit after she hit enter and forced my turn ahead before I could start issuing a counter attack.
So I figure this would be the best place to ask - a while back, I had a desktop background that I loved. It was a bunch of super human men in silver spandex with glowing blue eyes standing on top of a bunch of PC-like towers with GabeN in silver spandex leading them on the right side of the image. To the left is a hoard of gamers in a wasteland surrounded by broken and dead consoles, reaching up towards the supermen sort of like concert goers reaching towards the stage. GabeN was leaning over the PC-towers with one arm out towards the crowd, his first surrounded by a glowing blue aura.
I recently reformatted my PC and lost the image. I used to get a huge grin every time I'd see that background. I don't think I got it from Penny-arcade, but someone else must have seen it. Anybody know the image I'm talking about, or where I can get it from?

I didn't keep track of what I bought for others or what I received. Though I will say that this has been amazing. I added a ton of new people to my friends list, received a classy amount of gifts (as did my wife) and just enjoyed the sale more than I could have ever thought.

um, how do I access the options screen in Darksiders 2? It wants to just throw me straight into a new game, which I don't want to do since it's got that dumb non-native-resolution bug where a big chunk of the game is off the left side of the screen and there's a black bar on the right.
