I can probably help out on the PS3 version if anyone needs portcrystals or stuff. I'm kinda short on rare materials but purchasable stuff shouldn't be too difficult to pass on.

Many thanks @Elderlycrawfish for hiring my pawn Kimbo and sending him home with that sweet, sweet Berserk armor and sword.
What are some armor options for Assassins? I put the leather hood and gloves on my character back when he was a Strider, and now I have the red version of the same, plus chainmail shirt, leather protector or hunter's vest, skinny jeans and chainmail skirt.
I liked this game, but man the crafting/inventory system drove me fucking nuts. I finally had to stop playing it, because it seemed like 75% of the time spent playing it was just dealing with my inventory.
I thought Fitness was a good idea because I grapple all over large enemies all the time. Sinew lets the character carry more weight, which is what my pawn is for.
it combines a lot of elements i like about fable, skyrim, and god of war, without some of the dumber things.
mind you it misses out on some of the more fun dumber things, like romance mechanics that either a binary thing or really stupid, but it's a solid game.

Is Dragon's Dogma available on the PSN store for download?
Is Dragon's Dogma available on the PSN store for download?
If so, how much is it?
no, doesn't seem to be. but the store page is like a year out of date and giving you the option to preorder, so, i might have to turn on the ps3 to check.

Yeah, I checked the website and saw the same thing. I figured I'd ask in case anyone has their PS3 handily available.
Although even if it IS on the PSN, I doubt it will match the $33 I can get it for on Amazon.
It has way to many problems for me. Crappy combat quest overload ( hey this tree? it needs you to find a bazingo potion but the guy who has it needs you to find buzy bees in the forest oh look a werewolf needs a shirt.) and a really confusing world design.
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.
I paid damn near full retail price for it and i still think its worth it.
but then it's like this game was in part designed for me.
"what does melding like?"
"Killing big monsters, in neat fashions"
"So like climbing on them and loping parts?"
"Yes. That'd be a good way"
"Alright, put in some magic and elf ears and we have a game she will buy"
Climbing on monsters is so much fun. The Pawn system is neat, the combat feels perfect most of the time.

What is everyone here playing this on? PS3 or Xbox?
I don't use my PS3 much, so I was considering getting this for that, rather than the 360, but I don't have any friends on PS3 really, and none that play this game.

yeah but if you get that werewolf the three wolf shirt he gives you two potions, and the other one can be used to get the secret dongle.
but yeah, that's a fair complaint, i'm just kinda used to it, i came into it like "oh, so it's like american Fable?" and Fable is just as dumb as this, so.

xbox version is mechanically superior by like 12% and i have it on there. Gamertag Melding, you can use my sweet ass pawn who i will randomly change the sex of, because it amuses me.
they're also like level 50 something, and have enough health to face the drake and do okay.
In general, the PS3 version frame rate dips more, while the 360 version has some screen tearing. So I guess whichever bugs you less is the version to get.
There's an endgame thing that was a bit better on the PS3 due to a larger user base early on, but I think that matters less these days.

Tempts me a little but I don't know...I know the fast travel issue will drive me insane.

Granted, that's the latter half of the game.
But certainly on repeat play, it trivializes travel.
I know you can gift portcrystals, but now that I think about it I don't know if a first playthrough recepient can use it or not. Hrm.

I didn't know Betiah was Ophis' sister. I liked her more obviously.

please respond to my PSN friend request
I also did the quest from Mason that opens up Madeline's shop. Boy, she wanted something other than money from that spy!
It's not perfect, it's not game of 2012, but damn is it a video game.

I'm not sure if Fitness is useful. Sinew is the one you need.
For the assassin armor, whatever works. You are on the offense.

I'll usually have all 3 pawns and player character completely maxxed out for carrying capacity pretty quick.

Well it missed the part where I spray the Cyclops with exploding arrows first.
