normal golems were fine you just gotta get in wit dem knifes. metal golems have things floating around in the fight you have to kill to kill it as far as i am aware.
I'm just saying i'm giving all these people the same side eye that i give to people who are into real dolls. I'm not going to loudly judge you for your decisions, but i'm still judging you.
the thing about pawns is that even though the in-game fiction says that they are soul-less husks with no will, they have more personality and character than like 90% of the actual people

She barely even does that. Sometimes she kind of looks surprised, a little. Mostly she just stares vacantly.

It was a joke about FFXIV. Same deal with a completely silent protagonist while everyone else is voiced and all said protagonist does is nod. One of the characters even says, "So are you going to say anything or just stoicly nod again?"
It isn't just the surprised look that looks goofy. The Arisen does what's supposed to be a grimace (I think), but it ends up looking more like an awkward smile.
No, you have one save file with your one character and their one pawn, and that's it. That said, you can swap between vocations as often as you like, so there's no reason to play multiple characters unless you specifically want to see how the lower-level game plays out for different classes. (Or if you want to remake your character's appearance from scratch beyond what can be done at the barbershop, but there's a consumable item that lets you do that once per use and a postgame item that lets you do that as often as you like.)
You can swap out your save file to play as different characters, but if you do, you'll be penalized in the rewards that you get for renting out your pawn: if the server detects that you're using a different save than the one that's been uploaded, you don't get any rewards other than pawn knowledge for 24 hours (IIRC).
Guys, I want to use your pawns, but even though they're free, they're like, eight times more leveled than I am.
Hire. My. Pawn. She is lovely and carries a cursed sword. You'll love her.
Why is your pawn in her underwear?
probably because i am on an island getting things purified so i need to keep switching vocations to game the system of what i will get. Which got me the most powerful Red vocation chest piece With health regen, combined with the immortal set my pawn is basically a troll. you can not kill her unless a bunch of people focus fire on her.
they lack any will, without the arisen they just kinda mill about taking up space. Even with the Arisen they just exist to serve.
I mean on the one hand i kind of get it, because hey who doesn't like a partner who does everything you tell them, but they're literally not people.
Major spoilers.
On the other hand, the world as a whole shares the nature of a pawn, in that it doesn't run without an arisen around. Apathy is a cosmic epidemic.

This is clearly one of those games where I lose a bunch of progress and quit in frustration for a couple of days.
Tried doing an escort quest, killed 2 cyclops on the way, only to get ambushed by a bunch of bandit archers that wrecked me. When I reloaded near my starting point, I just alt-tabbed straight out.
After failing an escort quest, I realized the only reasonable way to do them is to go to the destination first, plant a portcrystal, and then pick up the quest. Then you can just teleport right to it and finish the quest in five seconds.
I fought off lizards, goblins/hobgoblins, snow harpies, bandits and a griffin
And then a huge pack of dire wolves took me down by attrition right before I reach my destination (healing pool)
Used my only wakestone to revive myself and the wolves ate Selena
It's kinda tense in a fun way but I think I am going to take the less scenic route when I do this next time

I'm rapidly getting tired of the base game and just wanna dive into BBI, but I need a better weapon first, and the island is refusing to drop me a longbow from the weapon level 1 chests. I've gotten a killer sorcerer staff, though. Pretty tempted to grind sorcerer on my main and use that staff to kill the gorecyclops in midnight helix. High glaciel makes that easy.
you're using the proper methods to get what you want out of the bitterblack item things right? Because doing that i have the fire daggers and the magick bow from the level 2 weapons and they're pretty much the sole reason i was able to beat that area. Also, if you hire my pawn (everyone should hire my pawn and then say nice things about her) they are equipped with some of the best gear, and know the area.

I don't like to hire pawns a higher level than me, sry
I've been doing the class switch yes, but nothing lucky unfortunately.
Got a good warrior weapon but warrior skills are garbage so
typically everything related to a different item, i usually have a use for one of the three so i have just been doing that. i'm gearing up to do a secodn run through, i'm excited to start seeing more level 3 bitterblack stuff show up

Okay, say the person I'm escorting dies a horrible death.
Do they respawn and give me another chance at their quest?

Yeah, I remember going up against a golem and--five minutes later--being like, "Wait...am I not doing ANY damage? What the hell?!"
It was a very slow, tedious process whittling its health down.
story spoilers
Their will less, self molded pawns?
And i don't mean come to care for, i mean want to take to bone town.
That seems weird to me.
unless they make their pawn look like a child
then it's weird
Twitch (I stream most days of the week)
Twitter (mean leftist discourse)
your pawn is straight up a slave whose sole purpose, aside from major spoiler things, is to serve you
it's really creepy and kinda narcissistic
I mean on the one hand i kind of get it, because hey who doesn't like a partner who does everything you tell them, but they're literally not people.
they were once people
they were once you
but yeah
basically love dolls with bug fuckoff axes and spells at this point
I think you got that backwards. Maybe.
Basically pawns can become humans, but that is way longer into the cycle than most of the characters who wanna do them are involved in.
This will be here until I receive an apology or Weedlordvegeta get any consequences for being a bully
I guess brain spiders
I haven't played the game in like 2 years though

Do I get a free pass if I am a redhead? Though that free pass would probably be revoked the moment someone saw my Pawn.
Clearly the answer is you gotta step it up.
....or just take some awesome higher pawns, eat the exp loss, and have them steamroll through the game.

Also loading from last checkpoint does not mean your last save, better to Retry.
