To start, Bylos noted that the entire team is now settled, meaning it can focus on game development instead of pesky time-stealing things like immigration. He also disclosed that he is aiming for a bimonthly schedule for releasing new issues, but he makes no release date promises. "But remember there is three-week [summer] holiday in the middle of this," he cautioned.
Since the word bimonthly is horribly ambiguous and useless, I'm assuming he means every two months rather than twice a month.
So yeah, we're basically waiting another 3 months for issue 8. I know there team is small and terribly underfunded, but they really need to get a handle on these update times.
I'm looking at my signet loadout. Thanks to my cabal I was able to switch out my minors (so they have blue Liquidations now). I have a blue Abuse on my head tali. My shotgun has a green Laceration, my pistols are as of now empty.
Should I move that Lace to my pistols? What should I have on the SG, if anything? Do I even want Breaching? /confused
I don't think breaching is a requirement... as long as someone, preferably 2 have it, 2 so that there shouldn't be any downtime. my plan is to get an ATK/hit head, and upgrade it and drop a breaching into it as my first gear, as everyone recommends that for tanking, and I want to build as a tank, that head can then carry right over into a DPS or leech set.
With the change to Breaching in 1.7 (applies 100% of the time on a penetrating hit, can go back up the second it goes down), you don't need more than one in a group, maybe two in a raid. But if you don't know / regularly play with somebody that has a purple one, it is a nice option.
if i want to be a tank first, dps second, would i be best served to stick breaching into the head, then if/when i want laceration, stick that on my main DPS weapon?
If you're going with a blade tank with Clearing the Path, I'd stick the breaching on the sword. I wouldn't really consider putting laceration on a tank build.

as primary tank, what about breaching in the head, and aggression on weapons? does that seem logical at all?
With breaching being on any pen now, I'd just stick it on a primary weapon. Save the head for one that only has a chance to proc, like Abuse or Agression
If you're using one of the Issue 6 head talismans, the signet you can get for tanks is pretty good for it. It builds counters whenever you evade/block/are glanced, and after some counters you get a heal for a % of your total HP.
But yeah, you'd probably be better served getting tanking signets, like ablation and order and (what were the other ones?) before worrying about deeps as a tank
The head tank ones are Order, Resilience, and R-something-or-other. Order is basically the only worthwhile head tanking piece this is ignoring anything not tank specific or from issue 6, I'm not sure how well that one Maki was talking about works in practice.
Good minors are Ablation, Fortification, Rejuvenation, and Salvation. Vigours are probably overkill for majors, maybe one if you're going for ~50/50 Tank/DPS and work for violence in the rest.
Also, I feel that vigours are silly to use, you swap out a talisman and you have the AR of full 10.4 still. Don't need the HP? Now you do slightly more DPS! Really, it's up to you. You want the extra wiggle room everywhere? Go for vigour. Want to DPS MORE HARDER? Go violence.

Here's a good video from that guy's channel. The final build he goes over is basically the same as mine, except I have Brawler instead of Sudden Return, but I will have to give that a try, since proc builds are apparenly really good for HR. I was playing with Sparklekitty the other night and she had significantly more DPS than me even with a 20% glance rate.
Well vigours are also 1/3 the price of violences. The only time I could see doing them really having a meaningful difference is leaching. I'd be surprised if the difference between no majors and purple violences is more than like 100 DPS.
Also, are proc builds better now? my pen/crit rate is down to like a third from about half the time, and even then procs weren't really worth it
Sparklekitty said that was specific to HR with the stupid glance rates.
It does seem that I parsed 150 DPS higher swapping Brawler out for Sudden Return, and that parse also included screwing up my rotation and critting OFaK instead of Shootout.
I kinda wish they'd amalgamate the faction cabals like in Rift. One of the reasons I haven't picked up playing again (despite thinking about the game fairly often) is that no one's ever online!
Maki and I tried running Facility last night, but we couldn't get beyond phase 2 of the filthy scientists. On the bright side, I seem to be able to heal-tank the dungeon, so I should have little trouble getting in to Facility groups going forward!
I'm sure it was partly due to my being sleepy, but phase 2 I kept dying pretty quickly. Was there an actual order we needed to drop them in? I think that would help, IMO we were dividing our attacks instead of focusing them.
I think capsule breaker was the one you need to focus on first? But yeah, you definitely need to focus fire to bring one down rather than spreading it out.
I...I might have a problem. I bought an extra copy to give someone next time they have a 'month of membership for a referral' weekend. Even though that's also only a $15 value....When I was out of money in the first place! I blame @antecantelope

And the R-something you're missing is Reinforcement.
50/50 at 10.4 probably works out to about 9k, the regear I'm planning for is 47/53 Tank/DPS, and works out to 8920 without vigour signets.
(I don't actually like this video, but the guy does have some good videos on his channel)

Also...caaaaardds
Trying to decide if I want the Indy outfit first, or the "International Man of Mystery" title.
I hope you know my first character's probably going to be one giant reference to the Protomen
