Recommend me a stylus.

After lengthy EBA, Trauma Center, or MPH sessions, my hands really hurt from the tiny DS stylus. I know there are bigger ones available. Which one is the best?

I looked around a bit at play asia and I recognized the name Touch Pen, but I'm not sure what the deal with it is. There's also the Touch Pen Attachment which looks pretty spiffy, but it's not out yet.

Well, a LITTLE more could be said. Like links.

    DS Lite http://www.pdapanache.com/products.asp?PID=NDSLT&S=3

    DS Phat http://www.pdapanache.com/products.asp?PID=NINDS

I can very much vouch for the Phat version. I don't have a Lite, so no opinion, other than to say that I wouldn't play the Lite without the Battle Stylus.

I bought these pens at Best Buy that only have styluses in them, pretty and convenient to use. Though the screen protectors accompanying them are utter shit...

Of course the only one I could find was my gf's ones to match her pink ds but they come in two packs Red/Blue, Pink/Purple, Black/White and one more I can't remember

The battle stylus lloks great and all, but as far as I can tell it's the same size as the regular Lite stylus.

The regular stylus is uncomfortable because it's an inch long, not because it isn't made out of metal.

I bought a couple of extendable styluses. They're twice the length, yet colapse down to fit snugly into my DS. Cost less than 3 pounds.

Highly recomended, but you might have trouble finding them. I got mine of Ebay, and they came in japenese packaging.

What, there's actually a need for different stylus out there?

Isn't it just a dull pointed plastic cylinder?

I have one of these, I bought it on Ebay at the time to use with Ouendan, but I found it was a little too big (and it's annoying carrying a seperate stylus around), but your hands are probably bigger than mine.

I use The Comfortable Touch Pen which is completely awesome in every way. It comes with a clip to attach to the back of your DS Lite but I just carry it in my case.

This thing finally allowed me to clear RSG in Ouendan. Goddamn spinners.

The Confortable Touch Pen is nice... But I have 3 issues with it.
1- the ribbing where your fingers hold it is NOT comfortable. It gets etched into my middle finger :(
2- The point is too soft, it got kinda frayed, and now it's scratching my screen.
    3- It's butt ugly.

I have a Hori Click Touch Pen (I think that's what it's called).

It's basically a clicky ball-point pen, only instead of a pen it's a stylus. I have a white version, but they have other colors as well.

I love it. I do approximately 60% better at EBA with it than without. And spinners without it? Don't even go there.

I recommend a run-of-the-mill biro-esque (ballpoint pen) stylus. They will set you back mere pennies, plus being the same size and weight as a biro they're comfortable and easy to use. The only reason you should consider anything other than a biro stylus is if you really want your stylus to fit into the supplied slot on your DS, but know that you won't find anything of that size superior to a standard stylus.

The best thing I can say about the Battle Stylus is that PDA Panache will send you one of their standard styluses as a free gift.

There's this Hori pack that comes with six game cases and a big 'ol stylus. The "DS Lite value pack."

    That's what I use.

yes, but it's the size of the dull pointed plastic cylinder. the one with the DS lite is very small, and after lengthy sessions with touch screen-heavy games, my hand cramps up. I'm looking for something longer and thicker (:winky:), and clearly I'm not the only one.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to see if best buy has anything, and if not I'll order something from play-asia, probably a touch pen of some sort.

it's a dark chocolate and light blue area rug that looks quite attractive when not zoomed up -- i'd post a full photo but don't have one handy unfortunately.

i play my ds for about 30 minutes to an hour at a time, so i can't vouch for how comfortable it feels after using it for a while. i have no problems with it while using it during that short span of time though.

It's big so it's easy to grip. Plus, it lights up for a better experience.
