for some reason when I wanted to throw some money at them I bought the color/title stash tab upgrade instead of just actual space
luckily I'm not even remotely close to filling 4 tabs.
I really can't wait for this to actually come out. I need to get a character further than 45 (an old shadow that I never even respent the skill points on after last reset) and I'm really enjoying this ice shot/pierce ranger I have going (just finished normal, been playing pretty slowly)
being an exalted supporter of poe doesn't affect blizzard at all though!
Not significantly, no. But my money will go towards developing and supporting the game. This will allow the developers time to grow the product and add new features. As the game continues to gain popularity, it will slowly leech players from the Diablo / WoW crowd. As those players trickle over, it will cause more players to switch games, due to their friends leaving. Once those new players start to spend money, the developers will have even more resources at their disposal to add even more features, which prompt new players to join.
Slowly, ever so slowly, Path of Exile will leech enough Diablo / WoW players that Blizzard will falter under the pain of a thousand proverbial paper cuts. And then, at the last developer meeting, the staff of Diablo 3 will exclaim in one voice, "We should have never removed Treasure Goblin farming!!"

You've gone the completely opposite side, haven't you?
I can't decide if you're like FF4 Cecil or if you're like Darth Vader.
Those look pretty good. Is everyone getting a respec? If so I might turn my IB marauder (my only character really) into a status/support guy. Either Glacial Hammer+Splash+Faster Attacks+Crit freeze everything sword and board or a stun focused Heavy Blow 2 hander setup.
Is Lightning Warp, without trap, a viable build / skill? All the forum threads I can find about it are fairly old, with lots of people saying it has been nerf'd and is useless.
Right now my gear is quite shabby, so I cannot adequately test it.
Seems like a high shield / regen passive set with lots of lightning damage and increased AOE is not the most absurd thing in the world, but I've no idea if it works out in practice.
One of the new support gems (reduced duration) should help Lightning Warp a great deal so it's hard to say how viable it is until we get the specifics on v1.0.
It just occurred to me that my 75 and 60 Templars and 64 Maurader get a free respec now and another on October 23 so I can just mess around with some stuff for yuks.

i don't think lightning warp is really viable to just cast yourself as a damage spell
the reward just isn't worth what you have to put in
E-mailed PoE support asking if I could buy a higher level Rhoa, and they provided an interesting bit of information.
Unfortunately we are unable to sell individual items from higher tier supporter packs. The only circumstance where we allow the purchase of a Rhoa or supporter weapon effect is if a customer owns a higher tier supporter pack. In this case the pet or effect can be purchased for half the price of the supporter pack it comes from.
I'm still seriously considering an open beta pack. I mean I've played this game enough and I'm really looking forward to the steam release so I can hopefully drag more people into it.
If you think you will ever buy points, you might as well buy them now to get some exclusive in-game content, and a keychain, and a t-shirt, and a poster.
My summon witch is the most fun I've had with my pants on for some time. Only halfway through Act 2 but it's getting hilarious and very strong. I got Bones of Ullr and that unique belt and unique summoners amulet and that level 1 unique bow that gives 10 mana per kill (that + poison arrow = my go-to twink set)
I haven't died once. I should have rolled hardcore. I just got minion instability so now it's just dumping points into life and resist nodes for a while (plus MOAR SUMMONS) so I'm even harder to kill. Poison Arrow + Fire Trap make short work of packs of monsters and the level 1 bow means I have unlimited mana. My minions are brutal against rare mobs, so much damage and then they splode when they die. I just sit back and throw clouds of death and fire while laughing maniacally
When I get the skeletotem it's gonna be hilarious. Some auras and curses and more ES and then I can use the free respec next week to shift to using CI. Gonna pump up IIR and IIQ and farm all the things
This is exactly what I wanted from a summoner. It's like my D2 summonmancer but without blowing mana on corpse explosion because my minions do it for me when they die.
Looking at that spreadsheet has reminded me that I haven't been working on my frost witch to finish unlocking HC. At the end of Normal and was grinding a bit to get her ready to push into the next difficulty.
Not the strongest build I've ever done, but it passes the survivability test.

I'd argue that D2 summoners were actually more effective that PoE summoners. Tank enough to grind boss fights, it's not nearly as invincible in PoE.
Is there a summon support gem like the trap or totem support gem that can be linked with a spell to summon a minion that casts that spell?
Cause that is something that should exist.

you throw them out and they explode with lightning warp
Holy shit.
I am surprised by the numbers.
increased radius is good because you want max coverage to reduce the randomness
someone make sure i dont fuck up all my characters like last time!
what was i thinking making two different level 70 cleavers?
v excited for the patch
Exalted Supporter is me. Fuck you, Blizzard.
The premium stash for $20 sounds about right, but goddamn, some of these cosmetic add-ons are asinine.
i don't have a problem with a $15 cat though because it's just cosmetic
because it's not a game you can win at
it does give you in game benefits though

Each point is worth a dime. So, yeah.
The cosmetic pets cost about that same amount in WoW.

Has anyone tried to make a Bamf witch?

Seems useful to have a place where PA folks can provide their in-game username, character levels / ranks, items to trade, etc.

Sure thing, good idea!
I get two exalted effects when I dual wield.

Ahh. I put a different effect on my off hand. I guess taking it off will give me both. Thanks.

I wonder how many respec's my characters have.

So far as I can tell, there is no reason to not start as hardcore.
