"Now wait as we lock you into a dialogue sequence and a qte that changes during it, ok now you're stuck here listening to the same bullshit twenty times as the qte is suddenly unforgiving as fuck when previously they were not."
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

PS: If you fail this QTE you will have to start the entire game over, because hardcore mode.
“I used to draw, hard to admit that I used to draw...”
So, I pre-ordered this on PC because that's the natural shift that I've been making lately... but after the news about the PC port hit, I'm not so sure if that's the right path. I played the other two games on 360 as well as ME3 so all my inherited saves are on the Xbox.
I've heard there's a way to export your saves from the Xbox to PC for situations such as this, but I'm apprehensive. Has anyone had a bad experience with this that I should know about or should I just switch my order to 360?

i got every trophy in DS1 and 2, except for the hardcore mode trophy in 2. i cant stand stuff like that, personally.
Evil developer holds back part of game to sell more. That's it dead space is the worst game since hitler.
Ugh. I saw our own Lewie tweeting this piece saying "they're going to sell the end of the game as DLC", which cites this source where he actually says
And the team is hard at work on a top secret additional story that will be coming in a few weeks.
That's all. Absolutely no mention that it's anything to do with the ending of the game, or content that follows the ending of the game. They sold a parallel story DLC for 2, and see no reason to think this isn't the same kind of thing.
Basically it made me really angry to follow this chain of stupidity to the "THEY'RE HOLDING BACK THE END AND SELLING IT TO YOU LATER" scaremongering just to try and rile up people because someone has a problem with the publisher.
He writes for RPS and I am pretty sure it is in their contract that have to be negative about Dead Space games.

All you need for the suit and goodies are saves, I'm sure the internet has saves you could borrow for this purpose.

The PC port is exactly what they did with other Dead Space games, which is to say it'll run fine and look pretty (1080/60fps/all that jazz). They're just not including PC bell and whistles like high resolution textures and all the shader stuff that PC games generally have. It'll be fine. It will still look better than the console versions.
yeah, plus there's a little config file that stores the cheevo data so if anything in DS3 requires something in that little config, that's available too
I have heard good things about PC dlc this time around. I heard from a good source that the reason why the PC didn't get severed was something to do with the cost of distribution...

See that hardcore achievement in DS2 is probably the only achievement I feel really proud of and I 'earned', I'd feel the same way about the mile high club achievement in modern warfare, except I never earned it.
holy shit, what is this phil collins trailer for this game. it was probably discussed already, but seriously its blowing my mind. who thought that was a good idea.

Yeah, the song in that trailer is fantastic, and feels like a good choice thematically for it if this is the end.
The weird part imo was showing both in-game Isaac and his actor's face. Choose one or the other for your trailer, guys.
The shot of him whipping the plasma cutter out in time to the drum beats is really cool. Like, as video game trailer moments go, it's way up there. Gotta lot of love for that trailer, despite having minimal hype for DS3. :P
Well that was also in DS2, at least two of them, one involving a god damned eye.
In fairness, that eye is pretty easy to do once you have done it before and you can take your time with it.
Failing it is the most glorious thing though. Glorious.
My first time through my roommate came into the room as I did it. I turned to him and saw his face as apparently trying to do it without looking is less than optimal.
He swore off horror games immediately thereafter

Didn't particularly dislike the trailer, but I can't say I cared much for it either. Most interesting thing was seeing a brief shot of Ellie so at least she didn't die on impact when that little shuttle made landfall, or some other handwave reason disappearance.
Well the ending leaked and nerds are raging about it.
So the usual! ;D
I just ordered the prequel comic, Martyr and Catalyst book and the new art book, and I'll be heading out to re-buy the first Dead Space so I'll have the entire series on xbox. Basically what I'm trying to ask is, should I be raging?

Come on panda, you know that drum part will be going through your head every time you smack a nercromorph.
Also Ellie talks to you during the drill part in the demo so I don't think they're really hiding the fact she survives.
I'm surprised there are no reviews of this out yet. Though I'm not worried, I think it will perform generally well.
It's not out until next week. If there's no reviews by Monday, then you could maybe start getting anxious, but there's been plenty of launch day reviews that've been good.
Because that's what I remember. A reeeaaally kooky movie, to say the least. The writing was something like C-grade movie fare, with expensive visuals and set design.
You're probably better off imagining it as a Warhammer 40k prequel.
This so much. I've never played the tabletop but after playing all the video games and reading The Horus Heresy I find myself framing alot of sci-fi and fantasy into pre-crusade WH40K universe.
You know that marker is warp tainted.

What I wouldn't give for a 40K game with these production values.

Pffft, shoulder pads and comic book demons? No, if DS is an oldschool tabletop it's this.

Whoah hey, I know you spoilered that and all but I nearly clicked it thinking you were talking about Mass Effect's ending. Since the game's not out for a week, could I politely ask that people be super bold and clear when they're talking about Dead Space 3's ending? Cheers

It's being compared to Mass Effect 3...
Unless the final five minutes of the game reveal that the entire thing had been set up by a goddamn space pony from out of time, it's not as bad as Mass Effect 3.

And to this day, DS2 has one of my favorite sections in a game that features rocket boots.
Insta-death QTEs can eat a bag of dicks, though (hi Resident Evil!)

Really? that chapter (5-2?) in RE4 is the greatest moment of the entire RE series. And I base that on absolutely nothing!
Seriously though, I think I'm the only person in the universe that didn't like RE5 because there weren't enough QTE's. I love QTE's.
There, I said it.
(I also didn't like RE5 because of everything else, but that came later)
