Ugh. Over the past 2 nights I ran into 5 groups that all used the same camping strategy. Everybody in a room with as few entrances as possible. At least 3 with shields planted facing an entrance, sitting behind them perma-ads with R870s, situated so that you have to turn a corner to get a shot at them. At least 3 trophy systems. And everyone using flack jacket and tac mask so that even if someone succeeded with an emp grenade it would still take a plethora of explosives to dig them out.
That might not be as effective against a solid group working together, but against pubbies I never saw a team doing that win a team deatmatch round by less than 30 points. Pubbies can't help themselves and just keep on rushing back in like lemmings.
Most effective camping I've seen in a CoD game. So tedious.
That sounds like an incredibly boring way to play CoD, and is also why I prefer objective games over team deathmatch.
Yeah, it was pretty damn boring. I spent most of the time just picking off whatever randoms ended up with them. 1 game it was me with 5 guys doing that, and I went like 27-3 just because nobody on the other team could grasp the idea that there was actually a player outside of their cubby hole.
That said, objective games are usually more frustrating than TDM since I pretty much always play solo. I have a reasonable chance of swinging a victory by myself in TDM, unless the rest of my team is truly terrible. Objective games...not so much...
Yeah, but when you go 41 and 18 in demolition with 4 plants, including the game winning plant in overtime, you feel like a boss. Happened to me yesterday and I was on cloud 9.
edit: Oh, and that was in moshpit. In moshpit it's not so bad, because you know everyone is on their own and you're not playing against any super coordinated teams.

I think this game knows when a player is about to stop using carepackages. I was really tempted to move onto a higher killstreak yesterday because I've been doing so much better at this game, but then in one game I got two air support killstreaks out of two carepackages and went like 5.0 in my K/D. It HAS to be a conspiracy.

Placement of care packages on the map is also a huge factor.
Throw it in the back of your spawn safely? RC-XD or HK drone.
Throw it in the middle of the map with 15 overwatches staring right at it? VTOL or Swarm.
So why in the hell didn't you monsters tell me sooner how much fun a Shield/B23R class is for domination?!? Last night was really the first time since I started BlopsII that I felt like I was single-handedly carrying my pub team. And it happened a bunch of times. It feels pretty great to come in 2nd or 3rd in kills but still have the most points by a fair margin. It seems particularly effective on Yemen, Slums, and especially Carrier.
It's easily my new favorite class. Running it with Shield, B23R + ExClip, C4, EMP, Lightweight, Hardline, Scav, Ex Conditioning, Perk 1 Greed. Does anyone have any opinions as to whether it'd be better to run the B23R with ExClip or Fast Mag? I'll probably do Dual Wield when I unlock it, but I'm not there yet.
I'm probably one of the biggest supporters of the Riot Shield, but it flat out sucks in BLOPS2. Here's why:
-It only takes 1 bullet to completely obscure your vision.
-There are no attachments for it like melee or speed.
-It has a limited health and you can be shot through it.
I'll 100% go back to Riot Shields if they fix these issues. Give me a few bursts before making my screen look like a PS1 filter was turned on, give us attachment options (melee, speed, and repair!), and allow me to sit in front of a Sentry Turret and absorb bullets for days.

I was doing the camping on the 2nd floor room of Hijacked the other day and this guy kept rushing in and dying.
So near the end of the match he gets a teammate to run in before him. I fire my shotgun and the shot goes through his teammate and kills him (Alas, his teammate survives and kills me).
I imagine that guy was seething with rage.

Well, I hit prestige 2 last night. And managed to actually get the default killstreak a couple of times (UAV, Hellstorm, Dragonfire)
Now begins the long slow climb back to getting the gear I want. Luckily, 2xp starts tomorrow.
Is it just me, or is the dragonfire the worst killstreak for its cost. The thing is butter. I can barely get two kills with it before it goes down.
it was great in the early days before everyone noticed how ridiculously fragile it is. its fun to use though, its got that going for it if nothing else.

Its better on hardcore where no one can instantly see where it is and you can just ascend and start sniping people with it.

Now if I get one in a care package I keep it as low as possible, and take it inside buildings or other areas people generally don't expect. I think the last 4 I used ended up with 9, 0, 7 and 2 kills respectively, so it is still possible to have some fun with them.

$60 for the Premium Edition download. Disc-based games cost more than that here (~$70 for new games). The only reason I can pay less than that is I still have an American bank account and can use it to buy PSN codes. BC2 was great, but I've seen everything that game has to offer at this point, and servers are pretty dead. As bad as my connection is here, I need a game that isn't going to teleport me all over the place and glitch out my reload command when I lag.
So far, playing the PS3 version of BF3 is a lot more fun than imagining what it must be like to play the PC version on the imaginary PC I'm never going to buy.
