Well that makes me miss my 870. I think I shall try to fit in some COD games this weekend if I see you duders on.

Ugh... Ran into a team of quick scopers last night. They were literally able to kill everyone without even trying... I ended up leaving after they were dominating us. I hate that even after all these games it's still there and nothing has changed. (Although I'm sure if I were in the shoes I'd just copy/paste code from the previous games too).

    good times last night
I got so mad at COD's nonsense that I bought BF3 (srsly guys it's $60 for everything, holy cow, wotta deal), but this 2xp weekend is mighty temptifying.

That's funny. I got so mad at Halo 4 that I bought COD.

How is this even possible? It's impossible to get mad at Halo 4, it's so good. Except their domination is stupid and they should feel bad. Also there's no team doubles or team triples which is bad and they should feel bad.

Also console BF3 is steaming bloody garbage and y'all should feel bad.

I could have a very long conversation about all the things that piss me off about Halo 4, but I've already ranted enough about it in the Halo forums. Wouldn't want it to spill over into this forum.

Also, I've been spending too much time in the starcraft and halo forums. Totally forgot about the PC elitism found in any cross-platform game. :P

While it's true that PC elitism is really a thing, there's a difference between being an elitist and just not liking the shitty gimped versions of those games. Like all the god-awful PC ports of games, Borderlands 1 was better on console, at least around launch time. I didn't stick around on the PC long enough to determine if they ever fixed their shitty non-mouse enabled menus.

Also, I can't be an elitist, I just said Halo 4 is so good... and I play cowadoody on the 360...

I would like to retract absolutely every nice thing I said about the shield. The other night I must have been playing a bunch of terribles because last night it was nothing but pain and impotence. I only made it through 3 or 4 rounds of Dom before giving up on it (possibly forever) and going back to my LSAT or Select Fire SMR classes.

Sounds like you came up a bunch of players that were better than you and you ran away. If you weren't blaming quickscoping it'd be rapid fire, or stopping power, or the famas, or some other thing. Switch up your play style and go after them another way instead of running into their line of fire.

The thing that really gets me about quickscoping complainers is that I now have 59.5 hrs in Black Ops II, 110 hrs in MW3, 457 hrs in Black Ops, and probably ~2/300 hrs in MW2; I've been sniping in all of them (diamonds in blopsii); and I can't figure out how to quick scope. Before complaining about how easy it is, why not go equip a sniper rifle and go 63 and 4 just to prove it. Or admit that the kids that destroy you with their l33t qUiksC0p1nG skills would probably fuck shit up with some other gun as well? Nah, that would mean admitting you had a bad game.

No, I'm saying you're a whiny goose that ran away because your KD was in jeopardy, and that you're diminishing the fact that you landed in a lobby against players that were better than you by trying to pass off their skill as a glitch.

And now you're blaming the spawn system to boot. I'm not saying the spawn system is perfect, but it's funny to watch you blame everything without admitting you simply got your ass handed to you.

Defending an exploit like quickscoping is the goosiest of goosey things you could possible do and you should feel bad for having such bad opinions. Doubly so because of the douchey tone of your response.

It doesn't matter how much "skill" it takes to master an exploit. It's still an exploit. And anyone who can even moderately defend Treyarch's spawn system is laughable.

I'm not taking anything seriously, I just think there's too much forgetting that this is just a silly game and people are going to play it however they're allowed to play it. Even if that means goddamned rapid fire SMGs and running around the map in a big circle like a bunch of ADD 5 year olds.

And if calling someone's blame-gaming out is douchey, then call me Douchey McDoucherson. It's not my fault y'all can't man up and accept that you got schooled by some 14 year olds. This game is frustrating as shit a lot of the time, but it's just a game bros. Quickscoping is as much of an exploit as shotguns in a small room are.

It stopped being an exploit a few games ago. Like it or not, it's a feature now.

I wasn't defending the spawn system, I just thought it was funny that he never mentioned spawns in his first post and then fell back to that in his response. I thought quickscopers were the problem, but then it was spawns and his shitty teammates.

Last response on this then I'm going to go have another coffee and exploit some doublexp and probably never mention quickscoping again.

I was woken up by assface construction workers hammering next door and now I'm in a bitchy mood. Quickscopers are always such a scapegoat around here, but I think it's lame. This whole game is unbalanced and people are always going to gravitate towards the most powerful setups or 'techniques.' That's just the way it is, and it's time for big boys to deal with it.

I understand your point. I've tried quick scoping and find it pretty difficult, so I don't rage all that hard when I die to it. I don't really blame the players who use it. But I do think it is a fairly ridiculous strategy that relies entirely on the fact that console games have aim assist. It is pretty much an exploit and I don't think it belongs in the game. Snipers should be long range weapons, just like shotguns are short range weapons. If I get a massive disadvantage at long range using a shotgun, then snipers should get a massive disadvantage at short range.

On another note, I think you attacked that peasant too aggressively. You could have made your point without specifically calling him out. You don't know him. Maybe he's making excuses, maybe he's not. But you came on so harsh.

Definitely. Anyone who played MW2 remembers having 3 or 4 of those bastards on every map, and them lunging at you for the kill from five feet away. There's a reason this comic exists.

PC elitism giving other people shit for not having gaming PCs. It's not like I have this ueber-1337 rig sitting here and buy the PS3 versions of games because I don't understand what computers do. My most powerful PC can play COD4 at almost-console quality. Everyone knows that the PC version of BF3 is practically a different game. The console version is still better than most of the console games I've played, except on Caspian Border, because that map needs...oh...seems like about 64 players would make that map fun. ;)

Even with aim assist, it's more difficult to aim on a console, and I've always enjoyed that. It means that aiming takes a long time to master, and if you master it, you really feel the effects of it. It's like, anyone can snipe using a mouse. It's not that impressive. But if you're an awesome sniper on a console, that's something to be proud of.
