yea i dunno, im pretty dubious about the lean thing even if it works as intended. but still, they tweeted about it and said the invisible lean thing is a glitch that will be fixed in TU1. nothing much to do but wait and see.
I'm going to guess that you only get one attachment for free, since there is a perk that allows you to have 2 attachments.
2 attachments on your primary and 1 on your secondary. The Extra Attachment Perk adds one slot to each.
Yeah, you are probably right, the perk was called "2 attachments" for a while since people didnt know the real name, guess I remembered it as that still.
Instead of Create A Class, you now have Create A Soldier. You'll have 10 soldiers in your Squad, and each soldier will have 6 loadout slots. As near as I can tell, that means you can set up 60 different loadouts. Instead of having one soldier that you prestige over and over again, you now prestige each of your different soldiers once. My assumption is that you can pick a soldier from a lobby, but not in game. Once in game, you're limited to that soldier's classes. I'm not sure how this works yet. Playing Squad gametypes will allow you to rank them all up simultaneously, but again, no idea if you gain half XP or what.
So out of the 10 soldiers, you can pick 6 of them to be in your multiplayer squad. You pick which loadout they'll each use, and you choose which one you'll play if you're in Squads mode.
Here are the Squad modes explained:
Squad vs Squad involves two opposing players in a 1v1 match against each other and their squad.
Wargame involves the player and five squad mates of their choosing and pits them against a team of enemy bots in a mode that "replicates the full multiplayer experience."[3] The mode is compatible with every multiplayer gamemode available.
Safeguard involves the player and up to three other friends in a wave-based survival match similar to Survival mode from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, but with the addition of perks and scorestreaks.
Finally, Squad Assault involves the player and up to five other friends or squad mates in a cooperative match against a squad of AI controlled enemies comprised of a seperate player's squad. The mode allows players to pick six members from their created squad to "defend" a selected map and multiplayer gamemode. Players and their party then go into the match versus a squad of either a friend's created characters or an online player's squad. If the AI squad happens to win the match, then XP is rewarded to the owner of said squad.
Squad Assault is probably the one I wanted, not Wargames. Wargames sounds like BLOPS combat training, and I'm guessing there's no progression involved and everything's unlocked.
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.
I think Squad Assault is a pretty cool idea if you have friends who are into setting it up. I'm also looking forward to playing Squad Vs. Squad with a friend who lives in another country. Well, only if it has an open voice line between the two players. I like the idea of being able to play 'multiplayer' with just one friend while having a conversation or taunting each other mercilessly.
It appears that Ground War may be gone in Ghosts, as leaked box art says the 360 and the PS3 versions support 12 player multiplayer.
I never played Ground War, as I always thought 18 people on a CoD map always ended up being a mess, but it sucks that they're taking stuff that's always been there away.
It was fine on certain maps, and really only certain maps. That MW3 DLC one in Central Park (which I think 18 was actually almost enough) and the ruined highway one was also decent for 18 players. That's about it though.
Ground war meant I got an imaginary number of bars. I won't miss it.

I can confirm that 360 version of Ghosts is 2-12 players while XB1 is 2-18. Not saying I've looked at the back of the box...but yeah, I looked at the back of the box.

You pick the console version based on who you are going to be playing MP with.
I'm sure there are plenty of graphical doodads that the new gen will make use of, but it's most likely cosmetic upgrades. The game might run better on the new gen, it might not.
There are also versions of the game that let you upgrade from PS3->PS4 and 360->XB1. Those games are $69.99 and make the next-gen version of the game a digital download.
If you want a disc version, you could always trade-in at Gamestop (vomit!), Amazon, or Best Buy and get the next gen version for $10. All content earned in-game will be transferred over to the new system via XBL or PSN.

I don't think I'll be playing Ghosts on any system, but I may get it late for the PS4. My old crew looks to be playing GTAV for a while yet.
In unrelated news, I stopped using the "Game" settings on my TV and used a preset that has dynamic contrast and saturation, and holy crap is it an improvement, especially on MW2 and MW3, since those games have a much more grayish, washed-out look compared to the Black Ops games. Y'all should try it out if you've had your TV stuck on Game for the last couple years.

I wish I'd known earlier that you had that problem. The "game" setting was created by non-gamers in the marketing department somewhere. It makes all games just look bad. Been that way for years, probably not gonna change.

Really, you should never use any preset settings on a TV, though.
They can be good, it's just very, very rare. I think it was my last TV where I actually went to the AVS forums (cause I'd just got a good TV and wanted to see how to calibrate it) and there was a post from a guy who knew way more about AV stuff than me which basically said "If you want the best picture you gotta call a guy, he'll come and hook a thing to your TV and adjust it so it's perfect for a few hundred bucks. Or you could just set the TV to the 'Theater' setting and be 99% of the way there."
But you're right that, as a general rule, most TV presets suck.
So the ChainSAW really is just a M249 SAW with a stupid grip... a grip from an actual chainsaw. It also looks fucking awful in what appears to be gold, can't tell cause it looks really bad. LoL Recoil.
I do wonder what the difference (if any) will be between the current and next gen versions.
I just need to know if I should preorder for the Brobox360 or PS4.
Most of us are playing it on the 360. As far as the differences, it'll look a bit sharper. There will probably be more detailed/thicker vegetation and clutter, too, but overall the next-gen footage for it hasn't blown me away. It doesn't look that different. In fact, it just looks like a port. It hasn't been built from the ground up for those platforms.
It will of course look better on the next-gen, just not better enough to justify forgoing playing with my friends on the 360.

Watching some people play this game I have one thing I've noticed...
"Enemy SatCom spotted!"
Someone should fire the guy who's just watching the enemy put down SatComs. He's on your side, right? If you see the SatCom being set down, tell me where they're at, man! Then the dude has the nerve to get pissed that you lost.
Also, the maps are large. In Call of Duty terms. Even if there was 9v9 there's a lot of real estate to cover.

Which faction had the really bored "Control" voice among all the MW/Blops? Like ever streak call-in/out, objective, etc was all done with the same tone with no inflection or anything.

The chain SAW looks completely stupid. Go home, COD. You're drunk.

I have a Samsung. The "Dynamic" mode looks really nice, as nice as anything I was able to achieve by fiddling with settings. "Theater" looks brown. "Sports" looks like dog crap. "Game" turns off all image enhancement for the shortest response time. It's an older set (I think I bought it in 2006...I just remember that the price on a 32" Samsung LCD had just come down to $800, which seemed insanely cheap ), so at the time I bought it, Super Mario Bros was unplayable on TVs that didn't have a "Game" mode. But the extra few milliseconds in response time don't matter in an FPS where I have six days of lag between firing and getting a hit marker.

I'll be picking this up on 360 tomorrow so add me if you're gonna be playing! GT: TPSou
Think I'll wait for the Xbox One upgrade to play through the single player - but starting to wonder if it'll make much of a difference after seeing Black Ops 2 on my PC compared to my 360 - it basically looks the same.

I poked around a bit online and found that pretty much everyone recommends using the Dynamic mode with a couple small tweaks for video games.
Are Samsung TVs still awesome? Because this one kicks butt.
Dynamic mode? No. NO! NOOOO!
And if you're playing video games, you'll want to put your TV in Game Mode to reduce input lag. For everything else, the Movie preset these days (at least for Sony and Samsung TVs) is generally the most accurate out of the box with Color Temperature set to Warm2. Warm2 looks too yellow to me, though, so I prefer Warm1.

Do you even read the thread? Game Mode looks like crap, especially in the many games that have gamma-space lighting, and the network lag in COD is so much higher than the input lag that I don't feel a difference.

I preordered CoD Ghost from Amazon.uk, one of their preorder incentives is an ingame patch called "Into the Deep" I tried googling it, but noone seems to explain what the hell it is, anyone knows?

Patches are the new emblems. You them unlock via bar filling. No more emblem creator.
On another note, I noticed that two of the camos require clanliness:
Did anyone transfer the PS3 clan over, or have plans to do this? I have a touch of the old completionist in me, and if I have to be in a clan to unlock these things, then I need to find a clan. I figure I can find a big one and just join that, but I'd thought I'd check to see if any PAers on the PS3 are actually going to go for these two.

I tried playing Black Ops 2 after playing MW3 for a while, BlOps2 is still so inconsistent with everything, I just shot a sniper center mass up close with the remington - Hit marker, he hits me in the toe or something like that, instant kill, ok?
Black Ops 2 seems to be the CoD game that is friendliest to quickscope bullshit, I never experienced anything similar in the past 2 weeks of mw3, doubt I'll play a Treyarch CoD again, quickscopers and shitty netcode seems to be their forté.

They haven't fixed the whole shoot around corners thing in the past like four games so I kinda doubt that they will fix this.
