So my Amazon preorder says 'estimated delivery date- Nov 7th' even though I paid for Two Day/Release Day shipping and they're still offering it for Ghosts.
Hopefully it's just a mixup. Amazon has yet to not get the game here on launch, but still there's always a first.

I'm curious to try the PS3 version of MW3 to see how big the difference is in player skill
I've heard a few friends who got both consoles, but play mainly on Playstation say that CoD multi on PS3 is easier to do good on, since peoples average are worse than on xbox360.
They could be blowing smoke out of their asses though, anyone tried to compare the two?

Seems you can use an underslung shotgun as a secondary, but instead of switching shot type, you shoot the shotgun with your "lethal" button
How does the Vepr have more ammo than the Bizon?
The Mtar-X sounds op (rifle range, large ammo capacity, and smg handling?)
Like that there are other integral attachments besides just silencers (laser sights, armor-piercing ammo, recoil compensators)
Love that you can choose between Semi, burst, and full auto on rifles.
Shotguns and UBGLs taking up the lethal slot make so much sense.
Bummed that we didn't see all the attachments for the rest of the guns.
That's my thoughts at least. So pumped for tomorrow night!
Just remember one thing about Call of Duty - The rifle statistics are bullshit, always.
I did notice the Mtar-X too, I hope its not as good as it sounds, because why would you get an Assault Rifle then?
I'm looking forward to trying out the Marksman Rifles though.

Perfect. I was already planning to give my squad soldiers wizard names so that I have Gandalf, Prospero, Dumbledore, Merlin, Doctor Strange, Rincewind, Radagast, Loren Silvercloak, Baba Yaga, and Tommy (he's a pinball wizard) being the ones to kill my friends in Squad V Squad or whatever.
And yeah, I know Baba Yaga is a witch, but everyone has to have at least one token female character.

I tried playing Black Ops 2 after playing MW3 for a while, BlOps2 is still so inconsistent with everything, I just shot a sniper center mass up close with the remington - Hit marker, he hits me in the toe or something like that, instant kill, ok?
Hipfire spread on shotguns is quite a bit larger in BlOps II vs MW3. ADSing causes the pellet spread to become much tighter because video game physics.
Black Ops 2 seems to be the CoD game that is friendliest to quickscope bullshit, I never experienced anything similar in the past 2 weeks of mw3, doubt I'll play a Treyarch CoD again, quickscopers and shitty netcode seems to be their forté.
Weird. My experience has been the exact opposite. Quickscopers are all hella up ons MW3 and the lag compensation seems to like to tell me I was shooting somewhere I wasn't aiming (as opposed to BlOps II, which takes forever to register a hit). But I really like how it tells me my friend is in a full lobby right away instead of sitting there for a while, then kicking me back to the title screen. It's like Treyarch absolutely does not give a shit whatsoever about that level of the code.
These days, I'm mostly screwing around in the older games, trying to use weapons everyone else hates in contexts no one else is using them, like running dual HS10s on Hazard.

I have a dumb question... I just preloaded this on my PS3 and I can't play it until after midnight on launch day. What happens if I set my clock to EST? I mean, it has to be available for midnight launch in NYC, right? So can I spoof that and play early from PST or is it region coded somehow?

I had to try signing out of PSN and screwing around with my time settings to see if I could get into single player or bots, and it obviously didn't work at all. I just don't buy games this way and I have no concept of what triggers the switch to playable.

Ok, question, is this gonna be like Halo 4 and single player is on disc 1 and multiplayer is disc 2 (or downloadable) or what?
Red box will have this on launch day and I might be able to snag a copy that way for awhile, but I wanna know what I'm getting into.
So Walmart saw fit to ship me my copy of Ghosts such that it'll arrive tomorrow. Yet they don't feel like sending me the PS4 I can play it on until the 21st.
I really should have just preordered sooner so I had more choices than Walmart.
It seems like getting the digital copy right away is the best way to go with this, plus it's always available to launch without switching disks. Not to mention paying $10 more and getting it on the next-gen console as well!
