I don't think stacking fire rate on Cronus (what he seems to be using) is that overpowered. Scindo/Fragor have much more to gain from fire rate mods. Either way fire rate should be removed from the game, and the base damage of melee weapons should be buffed significantly to compensate.
He's using the Heat Sword, which has even higher fire rate than Cronus at 1.5
Now, if Scindo has a base melee damage of 50, and Heat Sword has 35, and Heat Sword is getting 50% more benefit from rate of fire mods because those mods are percentage based...
Well, what I'm getting at is that it'd only be better on the large melee weapons if you're attacking multiple enemies grouped up. Individual enemies and bosses, you're better off with a fire rate modded Heat Sword.
EDIT: Granted this is not taking into account melee damage mods in the frame, which after a certain point may tip it in favor of the Scindo or Fragor. I don't feel like mathing it out that far though.

That is only true if accounting for macros, which may or may not be bannable offence in this game. If you stack fire rate on a Heat Sword, you will get very tired mashing E. You can get Scindo/Fragor to hit very fast with fire rate mods without killing your fingers in the process, and have significantly higher damage that hits multiple enemies.
Furthermore, Heat Sword is a slash weapon which are just bad compared to Fragor on armor/bosses.
Proof of concept: Just got ANOTHER Orokin Reactor BP through the login rewards. I already have 2 supercharged warframes and I can't afford a third slot! Time for the Founders Package I guess.
Also, if the wiki is right, Dual Zoren have the highes base RoF (2.0). Gonna try these out now. What's the magnitude of a higher level RoF mod for melee weapons? My highest is 15%, though I remember reading somewhere 30ish is one of the higher/highest ones.
Alright, I'm lost. I'm trying to play, but all I get is waiting and the message that I'm waiting for 1-2 votes.
There should be a countdown to when the mission will start if its waiting on someone else in your party to vote and they haven't. If you are online but by yourself and it says Waiting for Players you can press the Play Now button to go ahead and start the mission and other people can join you in progress.
After playing ME3 Multi I can say that they really need to do something about the revive system.
What I'd like to see is a longer time and maybe drop a check point in each mission that reaching it causes a revive on fallen teammates. The revives for real cash thing is annoying especially with a revive timer that is so damn short.
Mostly just huntin' monsters.
XBL:Phenyhelm - 3DS:Phenyhelm
This weekend they are doing an open beta weekend(aka stress test) starting Friday at 12:00pm EST, if anyone hasn't gotten a key already from the numerous sites that were posting them. Server maintenance in preparation for it tomorrow morning.

I'm betting money there will be a mobile defense Corpus mission and that 90% of failures on it will be the players covering the escort object before walking through lazor door.
Open beta weekend should be active now, Be sure to grab the Braton Vandal from the market which is only available this weekend. Especially new players since it will kick the crap out of the Mk-1 Braton you start the game with and only costs 1 credit so you can buy it right after your first mission and switch to it.
Yeah, join in for Open Beta you guys. This is a super fun game and it's super tiny too, so you can download this fast.
My Ember should be done crafting when I log in today. I'm excited to burn things. Burn all of the things.
BTW, save yourself disappointment and don't invest in a fireball build.
The ring of fire ability is fucking sweet though.

So played after the most recent patch and there are a lot of subtle changes.
Ammo types now look different, and more importantly are color coded so you know if there's an ammo pickup on the ground you need. Red is pistol ammo, Blue is rifle ammo, Green is shotgun, and Purple is sniper.
Some new map types where wall running, both horizontal and vertical, are required to traverse the stage. You'll notice patches of worn streaks on the wall that allow you to wall run longer than usual.
Grineer do more damage, and there are a lot more of them. I was running a fairly early Grineer mission and was still getting fucked up and running out of ammo chewing through the waves of enemies.

Just quoting this to say that the color coding is broken as hell. This is what it was like for Maddoc.
For me - Yesterday - it was: Red is Rifle ammo, Green is shotgun ammo, Blue is Pistol ammo, Purple is Sniper Rifle ammo.
Today, Pistol Ammo was red and I can't even remember the rest.
I got an account via the open beta thing and tried it out. It seems pretty fun and the f2p model is pretty unobtrusive which is always nice. It scratches the ME3 MP itch really well without infuriating me via a god awful random drop system. I'm starting with the Volt but I'm pretty sure I'll end up grabbing a Rhino or Ember as soon as I can. Now if only I could merge the two so I could be on fire AND punching everything to death.

Some might disagree slightly that the f2p model isn't entirely that great.

Why's that? I don't feel like I'm being forced to buy anything but then, I've only just started. It definitely feels a lot less manipulative than WoT's model, that's for sure.
1) The 'pro' tree of guns. Yes you can find the blueprints for the items in-game, they're also pretty rare. Though some people are reporting getting good at the 7 day log in reward negates this somewhat. Essentially it limits you're warframes and guns progression with a big stop marker until you either luck into finding one of the blueprints or cough up money
2) limited slots for frames/weapons. Which basically means if you want to try a different frame/weapon you have to sell your old one and lose any leveling progress (you can re-spec to salvage the mods though).
3) Go look at the dollar/platinum rates. It's kind of... premium how much things go for.

There's no way to increase the slots?
Pay money. It's pretty cheap to be fair, but still no way.

Oh ok, you had made it sound like we had fuckall for slots and were doomed forever. The money -> spacebucks conversion does seem a little high, but I dunno if I'll even stick with this so it's not a huge concern yet.
Well the point is more that having many slots (for frames at least) is kind of a big deal as each could be compared to a hero in league as a small set of moves designed to be played a certain way.
It's not like WoT where having more slots isn't needed because functionally any new tank is moving up and having more slots just lets you play slightly different tanks/hold onto favourites.
The "endgame" here pretty much consists of getting blueprints - for weapons and warframes - and mods.
Mods are completely random.
Blueprints - or BPs - have a chance to drop per boss defeated, so you have to farm for them. You can't really farm for a specific mod, you just have to play high level missions and hope to get lucky.
So once you've maxed your starter warframe and weapons, really the only thing left is to get better weapons - and getting the best weapons in the game isn't really hard - which only leaves farming for warframe BPs as the thing to do.
The whole thing is capped by only being able to have 2 warframes at once. I don't really wanna sell them either and delete all the progress I made on them.

Unless you pay real money to unlock the option for more.

Got spotted 5 seconds in.
Got hit by one rail-gun moa
Then another
Then another
Then another
Then I died.
Wasn't aware the Corpus really DO want to feel like fighting the Geth

Nah, that way you'd never have to buy ammo boxes for boss fights cause you might actually be able to sustain a decent ammount of it.
Gotta burn those credits somewhere I guess.
