It's literally the only thing impossible to get without platinum.
Which is pretty much standard in f2p games. I can't really think of a f2p game with loadout slots that doesn't make you pay cash money for them so it's not like it's a huge deal.
Do you guys have a google doc running with a list of player names? If not, why not!?

I guess I haven't even mentioned my in game name in here, but I'm Maddoc in game. I've pretty much just been duo'ing through with choco.
Also I have five beta keys if anyone is interested and wants in, just shoot me a PM.
I still feel like they should just go with Pistol Ammo, and then "Main Gun Ammo"
It's not like you can ever have more than one long gun anyway
Nah, that way you'd never have to buy ammo boxes for boss fights cause you might actually be able to sustain a decent ammount of it.
Gotta burn those credits somewhere I guess.
It wouldn't work because ammo isn't shared. The first guy who picks it up will pick it all up and everyone else is screwed. At least now if one player has a shotgun and another player has a rifle then they aren't stealing ammo from each other. Unless someone has shotgun scavenger or the like equipped, which apparently instead of making shotgun ammo drop more often just replaces other types of ammo with shotgun ammo so they become rarer.

I could be wrong but I think ammo, like every other drop, can be picked up by each player.
So 21 ammo boxes, 5 health restores, and some XP bonuses I never counted from daily rewards later, I finally get my first Orokin Catalyst blueprint from a daily.
Rejuvination alert up, but only like 20 minutes or something on it.

I would really like if there was a way to know if you had more than one of any given blueprint.
I think I just got an Orokin Reactor blueprint from the daily login reward, from clicking it as it went past, but I already had a blueprint for it so I won't know until I actually build one.
Really kind of wish it had been an Orokin Catalyst, though. Need to supercharge some of my weapons.
When you pick up a blueprint that you already have there will be a number of *s in front of the name showing how many you have total. Currently that's the only way to see duplicates.

So after playing around with the Excalibur a bit, I feel like Volt's power was blown way out of proportion in this thread.
Overload is, admittedly, a really good ultimate. And their shield is honestly pretty excellent for taking down otherwise very high dps enemies. And I can't really speak for Excalibur's ultimate since I don't have it yet.
But Shock is unreliable and seems to rarely hit more than one enemy, while Slash Dash routinely instant kills even heavy enemies, and if it is true that it scales with melee damage it will get even better because I'm not using any melee damage mods at the moment.
On top of that, Excalibur is more durable, with 40 more base armor.
When I started playing it'd reliably chain between a group of 3 and kill them.
+1

Compared to Slash Dash, killing three dudes with Shock doesn't seem all that big a deal.
And even then the damage is low enough that only weaker mooks are outright killed. Its damage is far lower than Slash Dash, with the caveat that it has longer range and also stuns. (Though SD can be used as an escape as well)
I'm just really feeling underwhelmed by it now after sliding past Grineer heavy soldiers and killing them instantly, along with the three lancers standing in front of them.
Three out of four powers are 100% useless on pretty much every frame anyway. If you get 2 useful powers then one of them probably be nerfed. If power boosting mods actually work on them then god help you.
Any electric damage and a puncture mod will beat out shock anyway. Since that skill never bounces you don't even need puncture. I'd want Volt for the speed and shield alone, overload is just icing.
The nerf to Ash's ultimate is kind of painful, as I can't kill like 40 mooks anymore.
On the other hand, the buff to Ash's ultimate means I won't die when attacking Toxic ancients and such.
I am unsure if the invulnerable frames are worth being limited to 12 kills only. It's pretty shit for an ultimate, honestly.
What nerf?
There's a maximum number of targets that depends on the level of the ability now. Considering how many enemies Bladestorm hits seems to be completely random to begin with, I don't think it's that big a deal. I do agree that it's kind of underwhelming and more of a "that's kinda cool I guess" ability moreso than something you make your build around.

I see. I was confused because the hotfixes lists it as:
"Bladestorm increased number of enemies targeted to: 7, 9, or 12 depending on level."
So comparing it to Volts Ult:
- It hits fewer targets
- It can still make you fall through the floor
I don't know what it offers in terms of range, raw damage and animation time. I honestly never really stopped to take notes of these whenever you used it, but I'm pretty sure it's overall worse than Overload.
Unrelated, one thing I noticed about Overload: It has a base range in which it will apply its damage even through obstacles. The interesting part is: If there are lights in the ceiling within this radius, it will create another Overload around them. Through this method it can spread quite far and even do x times the damage to enemies within the original radius and within range of any chain overload.
Or you could be Frost where power mods do dick all. It's a flat 1k damage -armour no matter what level the skill is or how many power mods you've got. One shots all corpus on Pluto, barely scratches level 10 grineer.
It's painfully obvious that the powers are barely functional and will get a lot of work. I wouldn't judge anything right now.
Old bladestorm was easy to work with. It seemed random, but thats because the radius was based on your initial target. Basically you'd aim for a mook in the center of the room and you'd kill everyone in range of him.
With extended power range mods that effective range could extend into the adjacent rooms if you modded specifically for bladestorm. Letting you literally chainkill rooms for almost a minute straight as you just teleported around.
The risk here was a lack of invincibility (and of course sometimes ending up stuck in walls and such.)
Now it's fewer targets, you're invincible, and you can't get stuck because the end result always puts you right back at exactly where you started it.
Which is slightly more efficient on paper, but at the cost of 100 power you're better off just maxing smoke screen and punching 10x as many guys to death while invisible.
I have no idea I'm the FNG and info about that sorta thing is kinda non-existent for new people to the thread.

Know how I said Grineer are kind of bullshit now? Well it's even worse because those little seeker sticky mines aren't even an issue.
The shock ones that they get later are the fucking devil. You cannot remove them yourself. You need an ally to shoot it off you, and it totally immobilizes you and drains your shield while it's stuck to you.
Grineer are now 100% impossible to solo past a certain point, unless there's some trick to those shock seekers I don't get.

BTW, Scorpion Ash Helmet alert going on right now. Should have 20+ minutes left on it, so be fast!

Especially with those stupid shock balls they added. That makes it pretty much impossible.

I can rarely contrive for Overload to even kill that many, without dicking around and purposely not killing dudes to bunch them up.
Someone better go tell Ember, or I'm missing something massive in what that ultimate does.
Just stick to your ring of fire.
It's all I do use.
Sometimes I feel like they made Ember look like a chicken to remind people she's a bit of a joke (at least for now).
On the other hand it allows me to have SO many great catch phrases.
In Tenno space, chicken fries you!
That joke was just fowl
You want to fry with that?
I don't know if that's really good or just so bad it's getting good again

Both, at the same time.
It's finger breaking good.
That would be quite a few kills.
If there weren't defense rooms and such that didn't literally start with 30+ enemies.
Which means you have to use your ult 3 times to clear a room. Wherein most people could clear it in one. Because a hard limit like that is dumb.
Yay Volt/Mag being the only good frames again for clearing/defense.

CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
Done!
