That is stunningly terrible, I get strict rules on chatting but if you can't figure these things out on a case-by-case basis you're objectively intellectually limited.

I'm done til pros start playing
I'm not interested in being the guy who figures shit out at all. no more losing to proxy reaper into widow mine with expand. just not excited about the game now.
when people start playing I can feel like I did something well or wrong, right now I just have no fucking idea what's going on. no fun for me, not my style. wol it is til this becomes official.

wow, that's a pretty radical turnaround from earlier when you played that great TvT.

Although - now that you mention it, playing WoL once they implement that nerf for infested Terrans does have a certain attraction.

He's not a pro, but he's solidly GM playing mech in (I believe) every match up. I'm downloading it now, so I can't comment on it atm, but I'll post later if you're interested.
Scarlett is up against Nestea next round, could be a great match. I'm going to give it to Nestea, because he is the master of mixing up different builds and throwing people off guard in ZvZ and that has historically been Scarlett's weakness. On the other hand, it'll be cross server, so anything could happen.
Anyway, I think someone from around here raised the point, but I just fucking love sending out 2 drones to scouts vs terrans on 2p maps!
If you're lucky the dude leaves after 2-3 scv kills And that's just what I need right now as I'm cheesing my way to that 1k win-portrait. 189 to go...
God help you indeed. I say start out playing mech. They're much less mechanically (pun intended, and made) demanding compared to bio. Mech is very powerful, especially in HotS.

i say learn to 1 base macro first. do a 1 base, 3 rax (2 tech, 1 reactor) build. push so you hit right as all your ups (combat, stim, conc) finish. focus on never missing a mule, never getting supply blocked.
+1

widow mines and hellbats are a fucking menace in PvT when they go mech.
The hellbats are not armored, they just tank the shit out of dmg. Gotta keep making colossus to clear these jerks out.
And widow mines, be exploding all over your shit, and reinforcements

i'm following filterSC's bronze to master series which focuses on bio and so far it's going well
it's amazing how having simple benchmarks like 50 SCVs at 10 minutes focuses your play
so far i've progressed from bronze to gold over the last week doing nothing but 1 rax FE into a 10 minute bio push in every matchup
i'm not even scouting! just macro macro macro. really great way to learn the game again.
if every player did wht you're doing we'd have triple the amount of diamond and master players in a matter of weeks.
it's funny because i literally 7 RR'd my way into diamond back when the game came out before i started branching out and learning 'macro' as a zerg
i now realize that my macro was complete shit even though I would have said otherwise back then
I 7RR'd from bronze-gold before settling in platinum with macro openers. Still working in crossing into the diamond range. I haven't played any WoL in a while, however
I personally like then 1base -> 2base -> 3base style of learning
It's against this guy I play with sometimes. He's super, super cheesy and takes a lot of games off of me as a result. This game he rolls Terran and tries to do some harass with widowmine drops. I'm completely unprepared so they do good damage and deny a lot of mining time. Eventually, I get my three bases and macro hatches up and max out on 2/2 ling/bling/muta and go attack only to find he made Battlecruisers. He kills my mutas, but I think I do some damage with the lings.
The game really spirals out of control, but luckily for me, I manage to keep him pretty much on 2 bases for most of the game using banelings to suicide into his command centers since it takes me quite a while to build up to an army that can kill his army of battle-cruisers, ravens and MMM straight up. I deny him bases for basically about 20 minutes until I get ultralisks out, by then the game is pretty much over. I max out on ling/bling/ultra/corruptor and make my final attack. He floats all his buildings and forces me to hunt them down. Pretty happy I beat him though, since he's diamond in WoL and HotS
Edit: Even though I won, I'd appreciate it if anyone pointed out flaws in my play :>

It seems like a really bad map for protoss.

I'm smashing these gold players now and there are apparently 1k games going on right now when last week there were only 500~
This season I'm 31-20, which is much better compared to the 55-78 or whatever it was last season.

That is just beyond idiotic.
don't mean to sound like I'm hating on hots or anything, there's nothing wrong with it. I just find this part of the process less interesting.
ed: Yup, hosts are completely and utterly useless midgame.
Witty signature comment goes here...

Edit: it was kinda really dumb...but at the same time glorious.

alternatively he could just switch to zerg. it's pretty ez over here.

I uhh, don't keep track of a lot of the new units...

Not really, it would just make diamond and master a hell of a lot harder to get into.

Here's a pretty epic ZvT
