I have a pair of Squirtles parked at the daycare in Diamond. They love each other very much. So very much.

Awww Squirtles. So cute. NOW HAVE SEX PAPA NEEDS HIS EGGS GO GO.
Pokemon breeding is the most disturbing thing ever. It's no wonder the games are afraid to say anything other than the egg magically appears out of nowhere.

You stick two unsuspecting pokemon in a pen to have sex, you hatch the eggs but aren't satisfied so you force the mother to get it on with her newborn son and so on until you have the most powerful inbred pokemon ever.

Breeding two pokemon should reduce one IV on both of them by one point to represent the exertion involved. Just to annoy everyone and make them save and reload until a non-essential IV ends up being the one that's reduced.

Look at the female MC. She's styling and profiling! Actually pretty cool.

Hopefully we can actually customize our characters this time around, male trainer looks like a more generic version of Hilbert.

At least give us Hat DLC.

Bring that back as DLC for X/Y. Would totally buy.

Oval charm for unova and shiny for national are nice lil bonuses. Oval charm is a nice boost to breeding (helps old man find eggs quicker) and the shiny charm increases chances of finding shiny pokemon. The latter is I guess the only prize that would make sense. What do you give the trainer that now has everything and still wants to collect? Shinies.

I wish the oval stone sped up egg hatching instead of egg laying. Egg-laying speed is rarely a long-term problem.

Hey, if I give a King's Rock to a skill link Cincinno, do I get five rolls at flinch per attack? I know critical hits, and contact abilities can proc each hit, so...

True. Would be bonkers, since Cincinno gets 5-hit neutral or better on everything but steel. (I have Dig for steel types)

  • PolaritiePolaritie Sleepy Registered User regular
Ambipom's strongest 5-hit move... is fury swipes. It's only other option is doubleslap. It doesn't have a single decent move to use with Skill Link...

I remember fakeout/doubleslap Ambipom made a big fuss a while ago, back when I was still up to date on pokemon metagame. It lasted about a week.

I have a podcast about Digimon called the Digital Moncast, on Audio Entropy.
  • ZephiranZephiran Registered User regular
It'd still probably hit slightly harder even without a beneficial Nature, but I think Cinccino wins out on pure style points.

    New blog entry from Masuda:
Never-before-seen Pokémon that will be discovered for the first time by people from across the globe.
Pokémon that are brought to life and look as if they are right in front you.
    Stunningly dynamic Pokémon battles.
Breathtakingly beautiful visuals that take full advantage of the 3DS hardware’s power.
An innovate communication system that will make you feel connected with
players from around the world as you play the game.
A new battle mechanism that allows your Pokémon to become even more powerful
when the bonds you share grow stronger.

So I guess that wasn't just rubbish talked about in the trailer.

Would be nice if they figured out a way to make even the most useless pokemon viable competitively if you put enough time into it.

And Legendaries need to be toned. There's a whack of those things atm and they dominate tiers where they're allowed.

I don't think theres anybody that wouldn't be glad to see IV breeding simplified somehow.

That's canon for Team Plasma, but they're too dumb to remember the right move.
The problem for players with Frustration is that it needs maintenance, while Return is just a constant 102.
