Ran the new LFR tonight, but we had ~8 guildies in there.
There is no way I will run it again on my warrior later this week without a bunch of people I know. That first fight we killed after he filled all 4 areas with water and electricity, by stacking under his ass. The second boss we wiped once, because no one killed the healers, or the venomcasters. And we wiped 3 times on the last bosses because the LFRetard lives up to its name. It found all of them.
And of course, I get 3 bags and 3 rerolls into gold. But at least I ended up friendly to the SPA. That's something!
So far I'm 2/5 for loot from Galleon, using coins each time, so 2/10 really.
Idk, I had a really good run in the new LFR tonight; The funny thing is the superdouchey shitmuffin gooseface that decided to raid lead the group I was in during the server shutdown almost wiped us. NO, STAY OUT OF EVERYTHING WHAT ARE YOU DOING on the first boss, which of course, lost us the DPS buff and we had to huddle in the middle to finish him off. The second run we had a super nice carebear type that decided to take charge, and directed everyone to actually stand in the right places so the DPS could melt him shortly after the second electric puddle.
The second boss was a bit shaky because the tanks didn't really know what to do for positioning, kept moving out of healing range, healers had to chase them, adds chased healers, etc. We wiped once, but supernice guy to the rescue again with raid markers. The last boss we sort of just brute forced healed through with everyone standing in everything, but it wasn't really that strained. I spent most of the fight imagining how the exact opposite of fun it would be on heroic...
Oooh, I did get snazzy leather Druid-tier-lookalike healing shoulders on my Monk, which again makes me sad that Druids can't be Pandas. That outfit is adorable on her.
Well, you do get scrolls that let you buy rep tokens from sunreavers. They're also BoA, so even after you hit exalted they can go to alts.
Oh, and ritual stones. There's a weekly to kill three ritual stone bosses that gives 150 VP, charms, and 330 Assault rep. That's basically an extra boss kill each week, which is a big deal if you're killing three ToT bosses in LFR or maybe five or so in normal.
Yeah, I have the stones and the initial quest to kill something; on several characters. I just constantly see people in /1 bitching about it so I've avoided getting it done.
how do you them now? as I am running low since I rarely got to do the sha and only did galleon once before the patch on my rogue my warlock was a big meh to them because I rarely got an invite to do them or in general
You can find them in the Thunder King Cache's around the Isle of Thunder, in the "Fortutious Bag" that some of the special summoned bosses there can have (also in the caches, giving you even more).
The main way, though, is to get the Key to the Palace of Lei Shen off a rare, or cache on the island (or end of daily bag) and do that scenario. Every single chest has a pretty decent chance at having one or more.
On my 5 90's last week I got anywhere from 10-17 in a single run; each.
So Horridon finally down last night, my ret pally was brought in for a mage (he was undergeared, seriously), had some...interesting moments on the 4th door.
Question for you guys who've done LFR: how'd they nerf the walkway before Horridon? My guild was speculating on what they'd do and none of us really had a chance yet.
The blue trolls don't knock back anymore, they just do damage. Torment is 2% per stack instead of 5%. The giant stone guy's laser isn't anywhere near as "stand near me and we all die" and everything basically does less damage.
I tanked the LFR last night. I only had a rough idea of the first boss, and no idea for the second and third, but fortunately the other tank was clued up. We killed all three with no wipes, although the first boss took us into the 4th pool (I'm not sure what the dps were doing precisely).
We did however wipe crossing the bridge when we got to the colossus thing, as we had two spirits at the same time. Other than that the trash was fine except for the first group, which the other tank over-pulled - we survived, but it was a little stressy.
First boss hit pretty hard, and him throwing a tank while the other had a high debuff count meant CD use was necessary.
Second boss was fairly easy, hits pretty hard again, and CD use at high stacks was again a good idea. When I was on adds they sometimes seemed difficult to get aggro on, and sometimes they just seemed to appear in a random spot, not coming out of the doors.
Third boss was a snooze - I was tanking the priestess, and I could probably have soloed her with self-healing if I had to.
Still, no amount of nerfs could fix people not listening to me/others when we asked to stay on stairs and let us pull back to them. But alas, its the first day and I didn't really expect the herd to know where and where not to charge ahead.

Horridon's adds are pretty simple. There's one or two smaller adds per door, and one type of big add. The smaller adds walk out the door while the bigger adds jump down from the stadium seats. On the third door, the little adds are untankable (they just walk around and wail on random people, it's really annoying) but the big guys can still be tanked. It's hard to spot the big adds sometimes since the boss is right on top of the group for some ungodly reason.

The lightning one is pretty tough. The Devilsaur is ok, as long as your group understands the concept of "Kill the thing before he eats it and heals"
There's no plan, there's no race to be run

Lightning isn't too bad as long as people actually use the lightning rod. Which they don't.
The Primal is easy if the tank positions it right.

Not at all related; I think mistweaver may very well solo better than brewmaster atm. That's...odd.
It's a bit insane how much damage I can do as MW now; Muscle Memory -> Blackout Kick crits are close to 200k. Not to mention that it's almost impossible to go oom if you have 3+ mobs to beat on. My MW gear is so much better than my WW gear, and I really, really don't want to dual wield so I'm already self gimping my WW damage anyway.... Yep, I shall now healpunch everything to death.
Leveling a resto druid via LFD has gotta be the easiest damn thing in the game I've done so far. In full heirlooms (cloth because I'm sure as hell not buying another damn set of caster shit) a glyphed Regrowth heals as much as Healing touch but takes a full second less to cast and with Lifebloom, Rejuv and Swiftmend the only time I've lost somebody last night while I ran probably a dozen dungeons was when somebody stood in the fire in that part of Scarlet where you use the targets as cover. Don't know why I didn't try this before, it's way less stressful then dps.

It's very nice. I'm only running the 3 guild-based heirlooms + quest junk, and that's more than powerful enough. It definitely helps alleviate quest fatigue. I just refused to start until out of the range of wailing caverns and blackfathom depths. I just...I can't. I can't do them again.
Still, no amount of nerfs could fix people not listening to me/others when we asked to stay on stairs and let us pull back to them. But alas, its the first day and I didn't really expect the herd to know where and where not to charge ahead.
Don't worry. They won't know what to do on the hundredth day either.
Also, at some point I need to figure out which ToT bosses drop bear/cat weapons and which drop healer weapons so I know what to queue for each wing as and where to use my bonus rolls...

What a coincidence, I just was looking for my Druid & Monk:
Wow, there is a caster fist weapon? That's actually not that bad an idea, now that I think about it. A decent amount of classes/specs should be able to use that, no? Druids (Balance/Resto), Monks (Mistweaver), Shamans (Elemental/Resto). Not as all-encompassing as caster daggers/maces, sure, but it's not as wasteful as int plate!
Agi weapon and healer weapon in the same wing make me sad, though. I'll probably just go Guardian for the first wing since it looks like there is one more spirit weapon in general. How about a healer off hand to go with all those one-handers?
Any idea if the Lei Shen weapons are higher level? If not, I'll have far better odds of getting the Horridon one before the Lei Shen one, which would make the latter pointless.

Thanks for looking that up, Ishtaar!
No worries, as an analyst by day I spreadsheet EVERYTHING so I was already working on it. There are two Non-Hit OH's, one with Spr and one without, I'll loop back and add those. Please hold. {music} Oh, and everything is 502, so go for the Fist! >.>
And we're back. I added all the secondary stats since there's a bunch of weapons and my Monk still hates Mastery.

I'm used to getting fisted by the RNG, but now if it happens it will be a good thing?
Also, what is with all the fucking hit rating gear in MoP? I have 5 or 6 items on my druid reforged from hit to expertise, and I'm still at like 7.68% hit (just a tad over cap). The Shado-Pan Assault Agi trinket has over 1100 hit rating I believe. When I eventually buy that, I'm going to be ridiculously far over the hit cap unless I can shed hit like crazy with T15 drops.
And my god, the Horridon staff is loaded with hit rating too. Looks like the Lei Shen polearm will be better just on account of it won't blow me way past the hit cap.
Edit: Ish that post is awesome. Damn, the healing staff has spirit/haste. I think I'll be shooting for that.

It's to make up for them not putting Spirit on all my stuff.
Seriously Blizz, don't decide to not have a fixed mana regen, say that healer mana is intended to be a soft enrage, and then boggle at healers wanting Spirit above all else.

Need that int fist asap, hoping to get the 1 ilvl I need to queue for the new lfr today.
Right now my resto set uses the hammer from empress even though I don't have the gem yet, elemental uses the spirit dagger. Maybe someday ill get non spirit pieces for dps spec, ask me about having 24% hit rating.
That int fist would let me also use the bunch banked fist weapons for transmog i keep around in case I stop hating enhance.

That's okay, neither did LFR.
I don't recall where I read it, but I think Galleon actually had some of his drops decreased, to counter how often he's up now.

But hey, I'll take it. If it means I can continue to get a dozen coins on any alts the day they hit 90, yes please.
It effectively means any future alts will have 2 rolls on every 5.0 LFR every week for as long as they need it, which is pretty cool.

Blasphemy! Ha. Enjoy your heals though, I'll be over here throwing beer at everyone.
