It has only been a month since our battalion joined Frederick Raskin’s Revolutionary Army. Deserting the Southern Division and turning traitor has put a price on all of our heads, but we are loyal to Magnus Gallant and will follow his lead. We have named ourselves Kime’s Army
Frederick has sent us to liberate the people and recruit for the Revolutionary Army in the west. He sent us alone, claiming that he is granting us a measure of autonomy, but the truth is that we have yet to earn his full trust. The only way we gain that trust is to do our job. We begin at Mylesia.
The layout of Mylesia is as follows. Castle Dunkweld, our current location, stands at the eastern border, and Castle Burgund is built on the western border, a 4 days march. Mylesia can only be approached from the east and the west; impassable mountain ranges define the northern and southern border.
The Central Division, led by Eurynome Rhade, has fortified their position at Castle Burgund and set it up as the base of their operations. Capturing Burgund would scramble Rhade’s battalion and likely send them into retreat. It will also allow us to protect region from both sides, and establish Mylesia as one of our stronghold. The road to Burgund passes through Tubulk, Lehoboth, and Phuntua. We should make sure to stop along to the way to rest and locate sympathizers.
In the morning we will begin our march towards Tubulk. However, there is also another danger. One of my hawkmen scouts has intercepted a message to Rhade from Lodis. It seems we have gained the attention of the Lodis Empire, and they have sent a small team of assassins to infiltrate Kime’s Army and thin our ranks. We have had a lot of recruits recently, and we don’t know how long they’ve been among us, so we all should remain watchful and note any suspicious activity.
