There are a lot of regulars that are not on the map this year. The focus really seems to be on indie developers and smaller companies. Rockstar usually has s huge section to the right of the escalators, but this year Rockstar is no where to be found. But Watchdogs was just confirmed for PAX, so we should see a demo or playable demo at the Ubisoft booths.
Something to keep in mind is that many companies share booth space if it's a publisher/developer relationship, or something of that nature. What's listed on the expo map might not be the *only* makeup of some of the larger booths.
The local game store that I frequent has a booth this year: That's Entertainment, booth 150. I highly recommend everyone check them out. I have no idea what they'll actually bring, but their store has something for everyone - comics, MtG stuff, board games, sports memorabilia, records, action figures, etc.
Something else to keep in mind is that the team might not find it in their interest to prepare a playable game demo in time for PAX East, and will instead focus on E3. That, or they may only be able to do GDC or PAX East and need to prioritize one or the other.
This is all about marketing for them, after all, and if they don't have something that will convince enough people to buy a copy of their game, then they won't put it out there.

Don't forget that a bunch more gaming-related entities are going to SXSW too, and that's this weekend.
I'm trying to be an optimist so until I find out it's not happening for sure, I'm hoping Bioshock is included with the rest of 2K. If not, I'll settle for the panel.
Hey folks. I'll be exhibiting at PAX East this year. I'm a licensed counselor and I use video games, comic books, sci fi, etc. in my work. I'm currently earning my PhD in Counseling and am gathering data for use with my doctoral dissertation. The research is on the gamer culture. Anyone who is willing to participate will get a free show button for your lanyard. I'll have some information on my previous research on video games and heroes (comic book, film, fantasy, etc.) at my booth.
My field hasn't always been very understanding of we Gamers. Being a self proclaimed Gamer/Geek, I've been trying to explain why all of our interests are so important to us for a long while now. I'd love for anyone with interest to please stop by and check out/participate in my research. I'm looking forward to the show to get a chance to chat with so many like minded folks.

As a note, my good buddy DadyWarbucks006, posted the image of the button I'll be giving to participants as his user photo in the PAX East buttoneering pages. He also has information on a second, exclusive, button that he designed for fun and additional interaction.

I didn't notice WB or Netherrealm, unless I missed it.
I hope they are there. I REALLY want to play Injustice. I know they were there when Mortal Kombat was coming out!
ShootMania Storm
Might & Magic Heroes VI Shades of Darkness
Might & Magic Duel of Champions Online Card Game
Spartacus Legends
Call of Juarez Gunslinger
Not playable:
Assassin's Creed IV
Watch_Dogs
Splinter Cell: Blacklist
So if you were excited for Watch_Dogs, my recommendation would be to turn that dial down or redirect it towards something you can actually get your hands on. Being able to sit and watch a video just won't be worth the wait.

So the 3 games from Ubisoft that everyone wants to play aren't playable? Boooo.
I hope you also like several hour long lines . There is no way that line would be anything close to short.
LOL yeah for sure! Lines can be fun though.

I can't believe that Ubisoft still has nothing to show of Rainbow 6. But yeah, I'm also surprised that they don't have hands-on demos for the big three titles that they'll probably be pushing the most.

Nintendo's booth last year was a joke. Was the size of a closet with nothing to show except Mario Kart and Kid Icarus which had already come out.
Also: Where the hell is EA?

Let's stay on topic and not do company bashing.
Where did you see it was confirmed? That is awesome!
