Or Ambush Bug pops up at the bottom of the screen MST3K-style and critiques the gameplay and how bizarre it is to see Harley Quinn holding her own against Black Adam while occasionally shouting out random suggestions to the player.
It'd be like the guy from MK 1 and 2 saying TOASTY, except it's a DC game so he'd probably yell 52 instead.

He could yell reboot or flashpoint, those sound catchier.

He yells "FLASHPOINT" and everyone's health resets to full.
I think that style of tournament just doesn't appeal to me as much? Those games usually have a lot of things going on all at once on screen, which I'm sure is fine if you know the game, but if you don't it feels like a bunch of nonsense. Cool looking nonsense with characters I like, but nonsense nonetheless.
The MK style of doing things is something I'm more interested in watching, personally.
It's well known that Warner Bros. is working to bring DC Comics' Justice League to the big screen, but the studio may need to find a new protector of Sector 2814. In an interview today with Empire, Green Lantern star Ryan Reynolds explains that he's not planning on reprising his Hal Jordan role anytime soon.
"I saw how difficult it is to make that concept palatable," he explains, "and how confused it all can be when you don't really know exactly where you're going with it or you don't really know how to access that world properly. That world comic book fans have been accessing for decades and falling in love with. So at this point I have very little interest in joining that kind of world."
He's not willing to completely rule out the possibility that the right creative team could change his mind, however.
"[A] great script and a good director can always turn that around," he admits. "...I believe that Joss Whedon is the guy that just nails it and Christopher Nolan obviously nails it. So if they were gonna do it like that, it would be an interesting thing to do."
I've said it before, but as soon as I heard, "The yellow color of fear," in the Green Lantern trailer, I was like, "Aw, fuck. Geoff Johns got his hands in this."
It was all just too big, too soon.
Really, I think First Flight outlined a pretty good Green Lantern movie. Rookie space cop goes on a ride-along with his new, corrupt partner, and shit goes sideways.
It's not as grandiose, but it's something that audiences can wrap their heads around.
The GL movie probably had a lot of executive meddling. It seems unlikely that inconsistency in the tone, the random shifts between earth and space, the bad pacing, etc. were originally in the script.
I get the feeling if the movie had succeeded the input Johns had would have been touted and pushed but since the film was a wet sloppy one all over the floor his involvement was largely downplayed despite some rumors being at the time it might cost him some of his clout behind the scenes and cost him.
The only thing I remember about the GL movie is Blake Lively's acting. If the movie GL had been Alan Scott, he would have been powerless the whole movie.

Ryan Reynolds would have been a great Kyle Rayner, NOT Hal Jordan.
Nah.
I love Kyle, but Reynolds is the charming leading man hot guy type.
Kyle gets ladies but is a big nerd and not very suave or jock-y. I mean he's a comic book artist!
Oddly enough I always had the impression that they added a touch of Kyle to Hal's character to liven him up for the film. Didn't work, just like Kyle being written as Hal lite in the comic was a disaster once.
Also Kyle has worked on a number of things when it comes to art, he isn't exactly a comic book artist (unless that's new in the 52) but he's done toys, magazine stuff, paintings etc. Anything art he can do.

Green Lantern Training Day would have been pretty great

Except for Green Lantern and Batman.
"ROUND TWO, YOU BOTH HAVE NEW ORIGINS NOW."

Also I love the nod to Arkham Asylum's Scarecrow stages
man I want him but it's basically impossible
Well impossible til the pvp season ends, then he'll be 135 cp ( and then will be a required deploy in an upcoming spec ops anyway)
Sigh, I haven't bought a character for myself in like 6 months on that game, it's just save cp and see who you need for spec ops deploy.
Avengers Alliance for android hasn't updated to 1.05 yet, those asshats. I only bought it for Mockingbird!
I can never get over how terrible Harley Quinn's redesign is.
He also had very positive things to say about it overall and that if he were running a fighting game league Injustice would definitely be on it

Marvel is too fast and insane for me to keep track of
MK and Injustice, especially since it is 1v1 are way more entertaining
it sucked because it was bad
Hal Jordan is terrible so

So's Captain America, though.
Why I fear the ocean.
Nah. He's entertaining like any other character. He is terribly easy to fuck up, though.
Cap's art isn't a defining trait for him, unlike Kyle.
Nice to see the punky JLU personality
Green Lantern Training Day would have been pretty great
