I thought of Liam Neeson actually. He definitely rocks the awesome facial hair as Ra's.
But yeah, let's be honest. I would watch the fuck out of a movie where The Rock plays a sorcerer. They could definitely cast him as Etrigan or the Blue Demon if JL Dark ever happens. Especially since his traps are now so big he's turned into a sort of juiced hunchback, which is Etrigan's natural posture.

I still think Oded Fehr would do a great job.

Popularity in comics means nothing. Blade was never an a-lister or b-lister but they did the best with him in the movies and became a huge hit. Cap, Iron Man and Thor weren't known much by the public at all until their movies came out.
Thor was known by the public before his movie came out.
From EMH or the Norse religion?
Norse religion.
Doesn't count IMO. To many differences from the comic version.
"Hey, did you know they are coming out with a Thor movie?"
"Thor? Like the Norse thunder god?"
"Yeah."
"Sweet."
He had market appeal before the trailer came out because he's a Norse god and we named a day of the week after him.
Having market appeal by tapping into a known religion* doesn't mean that the character or franchise is popular by default. Pre-established religions and mythologies don't always line up with IP interpretations, which is definitely the case with Marvel's Thor. Until they actually watch the movie or a cartoon about Marvel's Thor their knowledge is about it is a different thing entirely.
* which is less well known then the Greek myths and Christianity in terms of religion with the public
I think we are coming at this from two different angles.
It seems like you are establishing that public knowledge of a character is a primary force in making them a hit.
I am simply saying what I feel will get an audience interested or in a theater seat. And a film about a Norse god hitting frost giants with a magic hammer is a really easy pitch to sell.

While I love the fan-casting of Oded Fehr as Dr. Stephen Strange (and think he could be obtained by Marvel) in my ideal casting I'd really love to see Viggo Mortensen in the role.
* He was born in New York and has lived in Argentina, Denmark, England, Spain & Venezuela.
* He's an author, with around 17 published books on poetry, photography, and painting.
* He's a musician with 16 produced albums.
* His ex-wife is a singer in a punk rock band.
* He speaks fluent English, Danish, and Spanish; he is also conversational in French and Italian, and understands Norwegian and Swedish.
I mean the dude is just fucking awesome and well traveled and is so close to what I'd want from Stephen Strange.
Also I'm pretty sure he'd actually learn sorcery for the role, so...
Aiden Gillen has proven to be able to play a charismatic, sly charmer who always knows more than pretty much everyone else in the room.
Which
Is a solid description of Stephen Strange in my opinion.
Gillen has an ability to spin bullshit intobelievable rehtoric and for a dude who is meant to establish magic spells as a driving force of the MCU I feel that is a pretty good quality.
* He has experience acting in actions films with special effects.
* He is not another white dude, which helps Marvel.
* He is good looking, so he could pull in women for a film they may otherwise write-off.
but personally I think signing up for a Gamefly account which would take like 20 minutes max would be way better than spending 40 bucks on a short game you'll play once

All this talk about Dr. Strange (Adam Sandler), but no talk about Wong?
It's because we're all thinking the same thing, right?

Marvel tends to higher a bit older.

Plus he just looks the part.
Drink metamucil to stay regular true believers! Excelscior!
It would be interesting if Dr Strange would be enough to get him on board with Marvel.
no reason the dude gotta be white
and Oded Fehr has that perfect mix of charming, intellectual and mystical about him
I'll re-post this:

Why would you trap such an awesome actor with a DC film?
A DC film we aren't going to get for a very long time.
Diablo 3 - ArtfulDodger#1572
Minecraft - ArtfulDodger42
whoa, whoa, whoa, zonugal, this is for when I stage my coup of DC Entertainment and pull that big dusty lever that says EXECUTION QUALITY LEVEL
You got me here.
Big talk usurper!!!

That quick time event, though. That one I approve of. Except maybe the "shit" at the end.
Which is to say the shittiest version of Deadpool
Why wouldn't you just rent it?
'Cause I don't rent games? Haven't really since the NES era.
You can beat it in about two days, so, Redbox is a really good option. I can't imagine the humor working at all a second time through.
Okay? I just imagine this game is a much better rent then purchase.
how small is this town
because I live in a town of less than 10k people and there are two redboxes here
