Game 3, I get forced to AD again, this time *we've* got the Cait/Taric combo going, versus Corki/Lulu.
Level one, we get into lane, CS a bit, and then Taric DC's in the middle of the lane, giving Corki FB. Doesn't come back for a while, but wish he wouldn't since I think he was trolling. Often off solo-pushing and getting caught all the time around the enemy jungle.
Also had a AD Teemo who thought he was going to counter Garen somehow.
Face. Fucking. Desk. That was just depressing, since I had a four-game win streak going into that series.
The Teemo wins top thing is a silly myth going around. I have had SO many people want to play Teemo top. Anytime I le them, they die. A Lot. Teemo is not an instant win champion and a lot of people don't have a handle on the positioning requirements necessary.
TLDR: Friends dont let friends Teemo top.
I think it's people bringing up ChampionSelect and seeing that "Garen is weak to: Teemo" and being all OMG i luv playing teemo must play! without having the skills to pull it off on that OP Spin2Win shitlord.
It's that and seeing a good teemo shit on someone. As singed (anecdotal I know) I've faced lets say 8 teemo's. there abouts. One teemo made me crap my pants. Must unpleasant game ever. Another one did really good, and there was one I just barely beat.
The others I beat soundly simply because I know singed and they picked teemo because he hard counters singed. That's it. They had no clue how to play teemo. That's why so many arguments here go around in circles. Is teemo a hard counter to singed? Yes. Does player skill still matter? Yes.
I used to stomp Garens into the dirt with Teemo top but they've gotten smarter and sit in that but run out and start spinning around yelling about things, now it goes about even and if I'm banning if I'm not first pick I just ban Garen now.
Lots of people still haven't seen it used and go WTF in chat.
I like using it with Taric. It's another whoops run away button for me. People seem to get so mad when he runs away, I run because I love you. 5th age armor, loves you .

Played a game the other night where I felt like I was playing Support Singed.
I guess two of our teammates mistook me for someone else and automatically assumed I'd feed, so they basically forced by friend playing Graves to go top with me while they went Vi+Voli bot.
It actually worked way better than I'd expect. Basically I'd use little puffs of poison in front of Graves to punish any attempts to engage, and used my slow and fling to feed him a few kills.
The ultimate irony is that while our top dominated so bad they eventually swapped their lanes, and mid held steady, bot got pushed in really badly.
We won anyway, thanks largely to me and Graves getting nice and fat and basically unkillable.

Since apparently he's seeing a slight resurgence in popularity thanks to buffs, I need to figure out a way to deal with Kennen. He's the one champ I have consistent trouble laning against; I got absolutely stomped by a top lane Kennen as Jayce the other day, have a hard time against him with my main mids Syndra, Malz and Zyra, and the only success I've ever really had against him was playing AD Malz and pushing so hard that he couldn't do anything to me.
- Increased the requirements for being demoted so that demotions will happen less frequently
- Increased the length of the demotion immunity grace period that occurs after being placed in a new division
- Players and teams that are demoted will now have 75 LP in the new division rather than 50
i wonder if it's possible to whine at Riot to get the system applied retroactively. The insta-demotion after promotion was disheartening to say the least. Like I said before, the current system is much improved over Elo, and this specifically was one of the complaints that I had about it and I'm happy they modified it. Seriously, going 1-3 in a new div should not trigger a demotion, and it looks like it won't.
Now if they can fix the win 4 of 5 thing to promote, I'd be a happy Ender.

So who's a generally good pick against him?
I'd say ryze, talon, akali and elise will have a natural edge over him.
zyra and syndra are even matchups.

This is so common in the low-mid silver leagues, it's sad. Constant "Oh my god, they picked Kassadin, he counters my mid so hard, someone queue dodge!" Counter picking means absolute diddly squat below high gold leagues because nobody is good enough to understand why each character is a counter and take advantage of it appropriately.

The problem I have with Zyra and Syndra is that they're almost entirely skillshot based (exceptions being Zyra's plants and Syndra's ult), and Kennen's stupid bloody 230 movement speed steroid that can have 50% uptime without any CDR makes him really good at dodging skillshots.
I haven't tried Elise against him, I'll have a go next time he pops up.
I don't know, I've played a decent amount of Garen, and it seems to me like you would have to be a really awful Teemo to not dunk him in lane. Kassadin is indeed the most overrated counterpick, I've never seen one on SR that I was afraid of.

thing is, if you make him pop his move speed thingy he's draining himself of energy and won't be able to q or w at will.
Elise will beat him in lane but she has other drawbacks. Not sure if using her will teach you anything about beating kennen in lane normally.

Don't be that guy who has to wait 20 minutes in a queue to play 1 game of Dominion.
Since apparently he's seeing a slight resurgence in popularity thanks to buffs, I need to figure out a way to deal with Kennen. Last night I was getting annoyed by one because I hate Kennen but then I realized I was Cho and I had seven potions. I remembered pretty early that you wait for his surged auto to be used on a minion (his shuriken will be glowing in his hand) and then he becomes a lot less annoying since he won't be getting free damage on you. I ended up not using all of those potions by the time the game had ended, it became a fairly easy lane for me. Don't know if he was worse than me (he built wrong for the lane but he certainly knew how to Kennen) or if Cho does well against him. He doesn't do huge amounts of damage so Cho could potentially end up doing well against him by virtue of being able to ignore him. Hard for him to get a stun off on you since you can silence him if you're in danger of eating one.
Jarvan might be able to do well since Kennen is a puny baby yordle and he just jumps on him the moment he uses a surged auto on a minion and backs off, eventually you can just jump and kill him. If you get behind the minion line by the time he lands he has no way of stunning you unless he ults. Once he gets sustain it'd be a much more annoying lane I'd imagine but you can get him to a point where he won't want to use skills on you.
Obviously you don't want to put yourself in a dangerous spot just because he can shuriken->rush->W you but if he can't get his free damage (aa+W) in it's a lot less annoying to put up with him. That was the biggest tip that I got when having to put up with his shit when he was really popular about a year ago and it made my life so much better.
Ok, I'm going to try ranked. A few questions first. Solo or team? I'm wary of going solo. Next who should I roll with? Here's my roster, and I'll have to read up on S3 builds since I haven't touched some of them since early S2. This mainly stems from being bored with botgames, but it would be more fun to play ranked with PA people.

What is true is that when someone picks outside of their comfort zone PURELY to counter they're going to lose their lane anyway.

new taric looks like a top lane sustain bruiser. roa->Manamune->FF to whatever the hell you want looks stronk.

What
But Dominion is awesome
To be fair, there are WORSE. Teemo annoys me more honestly.
As does anyone running 'lol back cap' rammus. You know, the one that loses you the game.
Nope. Nope nope nope.
There is Kassadin. The god king of dominion.
Then there is Kha'Zix, Lulu, Teemo / Nidalee, Jayce. The "Welp, at least it isn't Kassadin tier".
Then you can start actually comparing everyone else.
ಠ_ಠ
Just to get that particular grudge out the way.
I also need to get better at Nidalee.
where's my disagree button
My team: Squishy/squishy/squishy/squishy/me playing Garen because oh fuck.
Their team: Kha'zix/Riven/Xin/Garen/Teemo or some similar unholy alliance.
Every time I secure a lead through jungling some idiot keeps throwing. This game leona and graves, both E-ing into shit they shouldn't be.
