Had some slammin' rounds tonight with @NailbunnyPD on the PURE reddit server. Even me being a rubbish vehicle operator didn't stop us. We had some rounds that were close and some rounds where we stomped them. The last round I played we brought it back from a 110 ticket hole to finishing the match ahead by about 20+ tickets. By the very end it was 4 and 1. I really didn't spawn at the end because our ticket count was plummeting. Some great matches where our teamwork and voice communication shined. Rounds like these revitalize the game for me and I know I'm going to be back tomorrow night. Stoked for End Game and it is also nice to see my friendslist have 8-10 people populating it every night.
Thats almost as funny as the USAS12 episode. Definately my favourite of this season.

I am trying to play with some friends and there is trouble for no reason.
I had two different downloads for one BF3 patch (32mb) and one for Aftermath (4 GB).
I could download the BF3 patch and not give a shit about Aftermath and play.
My friends only have one single 4 GB download that they MUST download before they can play. Origin says their game is uninstalled until this 4 GB update is downloaded.
We last played on THE SAME day, there is not logical way this problem even exists. We played together the last time and I haven't updated since.

I'm playing it right now and I have 4 people on my friends list playing, 3 of them PA people.
But do people still hop in mumble and play? Any good ol' fashioned pub stomps?
I haven't used the mumble in some time. Rarely is there a full squad all playing on the same server, but some of us play together. Lately since I'm okaying on the same servers I'm using whatever voice the server has. I just took a break but I'll be back on in just a bit i think.
I guess FXAA is now considered a hack as I just got kicked by Punkbuster for a dxgi.dll md5 mismatch. I'm guessing this is less of an fXAA thing and more to do with that other thing that was recently released that allows you to adjust the colour, etc?

Played a couple of rounds yesterday and while I thought I was doing super poorly I apparently wasnt that bad. Plus I got a couple of C4 kills and I knifed a couple of guys. Makes me wonder why I stopped playing.
I mean I know you all run around knifing tanks and eyeballing helicopters until they explode but this felt good.

My first map was Seaside Skirmish on BF Heroes. Then Valdez was my first map on BC2. Also made Heavy Metal and Cold War. Then Onslaught, then Coop on BF3. This kinda explains why the AM maps are so good. Port Valdez was my favorite map in BC2.
Shotgun toting, recon ball lobbing, m1911/rex to the face wookies were the best wookies

Heavy Metal would have been cool if every 15 seconds there was a rockslide on the edges of the map, killing all of the M95 Recons.
Although when everyone else on the team was a sniper it did get a little annoying trying to cap points
That's pretty much it. Recons have never been anything but free kills if they had a bolt-action.
