    8GB of unified memory. So essentially 2-3GB for video, and 4-5 for games. That's a nice step up form this gen.

    Not sure why this is shocking. Consoles have been playing catch up for years. The day the 360 and PS3's launched, they were already nearly a full cycle behind PC's.

    Just sort of a rolling hardware update for anyone that has missed anything:

    8GB of unified GDDR5
    8 core AMD CPU + AMD GPU (probably a SoC setup, possibly based on AMD's APU's with a beefier GPU)
    x86 based

    Very much a PC in a PlayStation case.
