For distributing buttons why not just say, hey everyone in this school meet here at x time etc. have a few of them through out the day in case people are stuck in the registration line or wrapped up in a panel they cant miss.
Yeah, it looks like the best way to hand out buttons would be to set up a time and a place early on Friday to hand them out. Also, I'm a PPL leader so I'll probably be twittering my location from time to time so feel free to swing by and pick one up if you see me.
My problem is all of the art looks really good. I would normally go with the lightning, since I've always prefered electricity when it comes to elemental powers. But the Ironglacier Academy's art seems the best in my opinion. I enjoy the light blue tones and the look of the runes in the background. Arclight seems too bright to really have the white runes stand out.
Since it's a team game, the only real difference I can see is that you'll have less chance to duel, but you can still help your team out. Also, there are going to be titles given out to the top scorers, so it might be harder to get those with a one day pass as well.
I love this and im thinking about joining.. But the only problem i would have is how i would get the buttons for the school i select.. B.c i wouldnt be arriving to PAX until 12:00pm-1:00pm.

I really love this idea, but I feel like you'd want something more...obvious...to be able to distinguish a friendly or opposing wizard from across a busy room. And, ideally, something that people can have some fun with.
Like maybe general suiting guidelines? Like...
School A all wears hats with ears
School B all wears leather pants
School C all wears Paisley
The buttons look great and I think will suffice for ID. Still, anyone up for finding something that might help give each school some extra visibility? I must say that, though Elferton's ideas are GREAT suggestions, they would each entail me spending money, perhaps a considerable sum. It would be great to come up with something inexpensive or that could be easily constructed with ordinary household items.
A few ideas:
Those mylar emergency blankets would make easy-to-spot sashes
A red, blue, or tan handkerchief either worn around the neck, as an armband, or as a pirate hat.
I'm sure something creative could be done with duct-tape.
Orders placed for 2 fire, 1 ice, and 1 Lightning for 4 people.
I like the idea of using bandana's (Red, Blue, Yellow) for identification. Just tie the bandana around your arm or display it some other way. Also, a meeting time for school on school battles would be fun as well, possibly out front right after the show floor closes on Friday and Saturday?
These look great. Thanks Morganstern. I only hope that I did not screw up trying to save few bucks on shipping. I still haven't gotten delivery of the cards. I guess we have three weeks still.
Proposal for Arclighters: As we are the emissaries of lightning and science in this mad world, we should make our presences known to each other through the proud and visible display of our Silver garb - be that a Disco Skirt, pair of mighty silver bands, or the reclaimed components of a Mylar blanket.
I've added a Fervently Asked Questions portion to the original post. If anyone has any other questions they wish to ask in an enthusiastic manner, post them here and I will add to the list.

I like the idea of meeting times. Arm bands could be a cheap and easy option for those who decide to go with some extra visibility. I like Elferton's idea of silver for Archlight, instead of gold/tan. I also like the direction Elferton is going with this:

May I suggest, for our silver-clad Archlights with some craft skill, time, and the moxie to wear it:
If you guys want to put together some meetups that's great! Probably the best way to do it is on the fly, and I have mystically conjured a Twitter hashtag for this and other Wizard Duel related purposes. It is uncreatively #paxwizardduel
One meetup I can plan, however, is the Meetup of Button Distribution (+2). I'll be outside the Tabletop area, on the Food Court side of the hall from 11:30 to Noon on Friday. I'll be wearing a navy blue jacket with the name Rufus on it, along with a violently green scarf and most likely a crowd of people throwing pokeballs at me. I should be hard to miss. If you can't make it, you can probably catch me at any of the Pax Pokemon League meetups, or by watching either the PPL (@PaxPokemon) or my (@M0rganstern) twitter accounts, as they'll be periodically updating my position throughout the weekend.
I love the idea of posting where you are so people can find you to duel. Just twitter "I'm in line for "X" game" or "I'm in line for "X" Panel" and people will be able to hunt each other down. With only 26 (at last count), without doing something like this, we may never find each other.
I'll be picking up Bandana's on Wednesday/Thursday. I'll grab Blue, Red and either Silver or Yellow. Silver if I can find them, Yellow if I can't. If anyone needs any, let me know how many and what school and I'll grab them. I'll let you know the cost when I do, should be cheap. You'll be able to pick them up from me at the Pre-Pax Breakfast at Friendly Toast or we'll figure out where to meet at PAX itself. I'll also have 2-3 other Wizards with me, so you'll most likely be able to get in more then one Duel if you can track me down.
Side note: Anyone in Metrowest that wants to meet at Game Underground in Framingham at some point pre-Pax to test out the decks, send me a PM.
Also, got the cards today! Everything is perfect!
Awesome job Morganstern!
I agree that twittering to find each other will be key. As an Archlight, I will probably try making a silver armband out of duct tape. If this fails, I may seek you out, Khaytor. I'll use the hash tag, but if anyone is interested, my twitter is @GoNExall.
Morganstern, now that the schedule is out, I see that the button distribution conflicts with the Tomb Raider panel, so I'll have to keep my eye on twitter and catch up with you at some other time. However, I wondered if this is still a good time for you, now that the schedule is out (so many interesting panels at that time...).
I don't have anywhere to be until a panel at 1:00 (which probably means I'll have to run to get in line at 12) and I want to get the buttons out as quickly as possible so button distribution will still be from 11:30 to noon. Like I said, though, it should be easy enough to find me later on.

It turns out I'm going to be waiting in line for the panel after the tomb raider panel, so you can just grab one from me on your way out.
