    Valentine:[On Break]
Redfield:[Access Fauna Lab - Consume Sandwhich]

    Day 79

The railway yard has been a lucrative diversion; we have enough raw materials to last us weeks. Some of our engineers have also found an operational Siege Locomotive in the primary vehicle gantry; it's a temping discovery, but trying to break it out & fire it up would mean spending even more time here, and we've been seeing anomalous radar contacts the past two days. It might be best to just get underway.

Wesker's recreational allowance was granted, and his clearance to the Fauna Weaponization lab has been transferred to Redfield.

Our Mite was dispatched to take aerial photographs of estimated point of origin for some of the radio traffic; it came back with images of an extremely active survivor community surrounding an old BlackFelt Robotics megaplex. Muzzle flashes from small arms fire can be made out in some of the footage.

The Hounds of The Eater of Kings prowl the desert, and you have no means of hiding from them aside from your mobility. If you ever have a Scent score of 20 or higher, the Hounds will have caught wind of you, and you will be hunted by them.

Every time you move, you will lose 1d4 Scent

Off Duty: 5 Gardeners produce no food.
Stress Check: Terrified; We've Been Here Too Long!: 1d4 1 (Stressed! -1 Conviction)

    What is Conviction?
All Ministers start at 10 of 20 possible Conviction points. Doing their job each turn causes Stress, as do a number of other things (among them, being injured, negative gossip from a depressed colleague, fear as a result of the Lawman being stationary, etc), and every point of Stress has a 1 in 4 chance of lowering a Minister's Conviction by 1. Conversely, engaging in a recreational activity, having a positive conversation with a colleague, falling in love, etc, will always increase a Minister's Conviction by 1.

A Minister with 20 Conviction points works twice as hard; a Minister with 5 or fewer Conviction becomes ineffectual at their job; a Minister that falls to 1 Conviction point will destructively terminate themselves.

    NAVIGATION
    Available Grid Segments:

Segment 78 - BlackFelt Robotics megaplex / active community

    Segment 76 - Hospital Ruins

Segment 88 - Offshore Derelict Wreckage

Segment 106 - Industrial Complex Ruins

    DECISIONS

    Please vote for the following:

    - Do you wish to stay in Grid Segment 98 and use the Lawman's Thermal Hyperbore to drill for fuel & additional alloys? (Will yield 2d6 x 3 alloys and 4d8 fuel)? If not, which Grid Segment do you wish to travel to?

If you choose to stay, do you also wish to retrieve the Siege Locomotive? (OPTION UNAVAILABLE; 5 GENERAL PERSONNEL REQUIRED)

    - Which templates you wish to decompress (Templates unlock new technologies) INSUFFICIENT CPU

    - Do you wish to spend 10 CPU to attempt to decode some of the nearby radio traffic? (75% chance)

    - Do you wish to deploy the Mite recon helicopter to gather information about a specific Grid Segment? (Costs 2 fuel)

    - Do you wish to promote any General Personnel into Ministers? You may recruit for any of the following positions:
Minister of Industry: Converts 5 General Personnel into Engineers to undertake construction projects.

Minister of Espionage: Converts 5 General Personnel into Spies to engage in diplomacy & subterfuge.

Minister of Security: Converts 5 General Personnel into Code Red Agents; Code Red Agents do not consume food per turn (they eat only meager rations) and may be expended to resolve hazards & complications encountered by the Lawman.

Minister of Agriculture: Converts 5 General Personnel into Gardeners that produce 3 food per turn instead of consuming it.

Minister of Education: Converts 5 General Personnel into Elites. Each Elite consumes 3 food per turn, but every Minister of Education adds 1d10 CPU per turn for unlocking new templates.

Every Minister except for the Minister of Agriculture will consume 4 food per turn on their own. You'll also need to keep them entertained to maintain their productivity.

    - Do you wish for any Ministers to be given a break from their duties (Ministers not given breaks or assigned to recreational tasks will accumulate Stress points from work)?

    - Do you wish to assign any 2 Ministers to the Wandering Tavern for recreation? (Improves Conviction; opportunity to establish Relationships)

    - Do you wish for any Ministers to be fed Hyper-Protein sandwiches (Each sandwich will increase Conviction by +2)?

    - Do you wish for any Minister to be assigned to the Fauna Weaponization Laboratory?

    - Do you wish to assign any manufacturing jobs? You may manufacture any of the following:
    - 'Watcher' Light Infantry Kit (Work: 1 Alloys: 5 General Personnel: 1)
    - 'Warpath' Transforming Armored Personnel Carrier (Work: 5 Alloys: 10 General Personnel: 1)
    - 'Avalanche' Compact Tank (Work: 5 Alloys: 10 General Personnel: 2)
    - 'Mite' Reconnaissance Helicopter (Work: 3 Alloys: 6 General Personnel: 2)

    How does manufacturing work?
'Work' refers to the number of engineers that need to be allocated to the project; 'Alloys' refers to the number of alloys that need to be used to build the project; 'General Personnel' refers to the number of General Personnel that need to be re-assigned as vehicle crew or infantrymen for the project.

    Day 88

We encountered fortifications shortly after entering Grid Segment 78. The leadership of the community surrounding the megaplex opened communications with us:

"Good day. My unique designation is Chairman Grey. You are trespassing on private property. You are fined 60 universal quantity units of construction material. Payment is due within 6 standard hours.

I am invoking Charter 47 of the McAllister accords. You are deputized as a war asset of BlackFelt Robotics Inc. Prepare to receive executive staff."

Clearance to the Fauna Weaponization Laboratory has been transferred to Minister Valentine while Minister Redfield organizes a construction project for her engineering staff.

A Minister with 20 Conviction points works twice as hard; a Minister with 5 or fewer Conviction becomes ineffectual at their job; a Minister that falls to 1 Conviction point will destructively terminate themselves.

    DECISIONS

    Please vote for the following:

    - Will you comply with the demands of BlackFelt Robotics Inc? (Will cost 60 alloys; BlackFelt Robotics will become 'Allied' and will place 4 spy units on the Lawman. These will occupy General Personnel space, but will not eat food; they can be expected to act with hostility if you fail to comply with orders from the President of BlackFelt Robotics)

If you do not comply, do you choose to simply travel to a new Grid Segment (40% chance that BlackFelt Robotics will become 'Hostile'), or do you wish to smash through the fortifications in front of you and find whatever resources there are to be exploited in Grid Segment 78 (BlackFelt Robotics will become 'Hostile', and sustain 1d100 losses to their Active Units)?

    - Which templates you wish to decompress? (Templates unlock new technologies)

You may manufacture any of the following (ALL ENGINEERS ALREADY ASSIGNED TO CONSTRUCTION PROJECT)

    - Do you wish to launch a fission missile at any community?

Launch Missile at BlackFelt Robotics (we've got a handful of infantry, 2 tanks, and 3 shots per round, so we'll need some extra oomph to take down BlackFelt. The Eater of Kings we ain't.)

We should wait with the agriculture one till we can field a full group of gardeners, since we have no means to fill up his group later on. If we decompress the lobe clipper we will fill up with crew quickly and be able to produce enough ministers of agriculture without breaking a sweat. We also are only losing about 5 food a turn, and our stores are rather full.

Oh, my understanding of it was that having two ministers of agriculture would give us 5 additional gardeners. Also, the minister does not actually produce any food, his function seems to be overseeing the gardeners.

He would produce five Gardeners, but those Gardeners would be promoted from the General Personnel, of which there are only three at the moment...?.

We are the LAW. We should hold ourselves to a higher standard. Or, at least, a more subtle one. (cough Espionage cough)

Honestly, I'm bucking to promote a Minister of Education, while there are fewer Elite eggheads to suck down food while the Minister still gives us his brainchildren.

    So...

Wave bye-bye to BlackFelt: Move to Grid 76 - Hospital
Get us some more loyal crew: Decompress Lobe-Clipping protocols.
Promote a scientist while his retinue is cheap: Promote a Minister of Education

Let's finish that tank! Keep Jessica working

Huh. Is the Minister of Industry actually working on the tank, or could she be doing something else while the engineering staff finish the project?

    Day 89

"We will not be deputized by or forced into compliance with your organization, chairman. All of your requests are denied. We are the law, and we are confiscating all of this Grid Segment's assets."

The Tyrant smashed through the fortifications just a few seconds before that transmission was sent. Any forces manning the walls, trenches, bunkers or guard towers were crushed & buried beneath the rubble left in our wake.

Fortifications Annihilated: 1d100 45 casualties inflicted

Fission weapon armament & launch codes were transmitted at 0800 hours to the caravan's Mobile Strategic Missile Platform.

    Fission Missile Casualties: 3d50 85

The weapon airburst over it's intended target and performed as anticipated, releasing 2 megatons of energy and inflicting an estimated kill score of 8,500.

Lobe Clipping protocols have been initiated in order to increase our personnel resources. Any desirable candidate laborers found in our vicinity will be mandated to volunteer for service.

The application filed by citizen Christopher Dredd for the position of Minister of Security has been processed. The position was granted.

    Total Scent: 12

    What's this?
You will accumulate 1d20 worth of Scent whenever you remain stationary to do anything.

    - 'Watcher' Light Infantry Kit (Work: 1 Alloys: 5 General Personnel: 1)
    - 'Warpath' Transforming Armored Personnel Carrier (Work: 5 Alloys: 10 General Personnel: 1)
    - 'Avalanche' Compact Tank (Work: 5 Alloys: 10 General Personnel: 2)
    - 'Mite' Reconnaissance Helicopter (Work: 3 Alloys: 6 General Personnel: 2)

*Note: There is only 1 Engineer available for work this turn

    How does manufacturing work?
'Work' refers to the number of engineers that need to be allocated to the project; 'Alloys' refers to the number of alloys that need to be used to build the project; 'General Personnel' refers to the number of General Personnel that need to be re-assigned as vehicle crew or infantrymen for the project.

Just want to say that I loved that narration and that it can be summed up by "Fuck y'all!".

    Breach heavy machinery fabrication chasm.
    Feed Jessica Redfield a sandwich.
Keep the Ministers where they are.* If we can double up assignments, may as well stick Dredd in the Fauna laboratory.
Build a "Watcher-class" light infantry kit.

Also, we should see about increasing food production after all this is over. As it stands, we're at -7 total production/turn.

Yeah, my personal plan is > Build APC + education(partly to make sure we get less elites) > Agriculture w/5 gardeners > 5 infantry > Espionage w/5 cloak and dagger dudes
