The Plot:
You start out in the Stone age (from 200,000 years back - Dinosaurs, and other creatures live and battle alongside Man in the Wildman universe) and progress through the eras, looting Technology, Items & Weapons from defeated tribes/camps, kingdoms, etc and shape your own path (and your character) throughout history.
The RTS part of it, "Warzones" is supposed to seamlessly integrate into the game play (Exploration, Dungeon crawling, etc) (below)
Merits & why its Innovative:
I'm yet to see such deep character progression that has been this open-ended, since character progression in most games controlled by a limited tech tree. Wildman on the other hand isn't constrained by a tech tree. Each persons' build - Tech, Weapons and Items are unique and no two players might have the same stats.
Nevertheless, It's got Dinosaurs, Sabretooths, Polymorphs, Mounts & Wildwomen!
Project Mercury & Mod-Tools:
They also demoed their Cloud-based Modding Tool & Web platform, "Project Mercury" which can manipulate 3D in-game objects, contribute to level design, custom maps, etc. (see below) which seems really interesting, cause we don't need to download the tools and get frustrated while setting them up before you even start to work with the tools. This IMO could democratize Modding a fair bit!

Edit: Removed kickstarter links since they're against the rules. Thanks

Also, I need to get some Judas Priest music too.
In the event that the kickstarter fails, do you think a publisher could pick it up? GPG wouldn't achieve the indie independence but they could remain active.
