We're so much more fun when we're not playing MSU/Wisconsin/OSU. We're still fun against Indiana, even though they're better (more experienced, really) than us.

How the hell did Davidson let Marquette win that game? Ugh.

Also, 12:15 tip times for your favorite team and alma mater while you're in the middle of teaching? The worst.

Marquette went from making almost no threes to hitting like 3 or 4 straight at the end. That was pretty much it, Marquette went from ice cold to burning hot.

Isn't ice-cold from 3-point land par for the course with Marquette? Like...aren't they the worst 3-point shooting team in the tournament?

Ugh why did I pick Belmont? Seth Davis kiss of death was in play.

At least Cal is looking good.

Maybe, but certainly going 3 for 3 from behind the arc in the last 90 seconds represents red hot for any team. Davidson was scoring points at the end, but every time they'd make a free throw or layup, Marquette raced down the floor and swished a crazy off-balance 3-pointer. They probably deserved to lose, but they made buckets when it mattered most.

Looks likely that we'll get Trey Burke vs. the havoc press, which should be fun. And should let Michigan run. Good luck with that, VCU.

I have a special grudge against VCU for winning all three times I saw them in Harrisonburg against the Dukes. So Michigan laying waste in that game would be a double-joy.

Not that he ever would have anyway, but I doubt it'd be safe for Doug Gottlieb to visit Spokane in the future.

I listened to the TV stream of the Gonzaga game streaming on my phone on the way home. That made it even more obvious how bad Gottlieb and his partner are. I mean I know that you don't expect radio quality detail from a TV crew but it was far worse than any of the other games I'd had the TV audio running in the background while at work.

Tommy Amaker just won an NCAA Tournament game. I'm pretty sure I've seen everything now.

Also, next year, can the committee please notice a conference that totally games the RPI to artificially inflate their worth and instead put Iowa in the fucking tournament? The Mountain West sucks.

BHGP is awash in schadenfreude right now. They hate Alford so much. It's pretty awesome how much they hate him.

Wait that doesn't factor in Syracuse murdering the fuck out of Montana, which I guess 600 people had happening? So final number is around 1280.

If Coach K restructured his contract so that he was paid $X every time an announcer said a variation on "Wow, big break for Duke there" when referring to an officiating decision, what would X have to be before it was a raise? Like $2?

Can we institute a rule that if you win a tournament game with under 50 points, you're just bounced and your theoretical opponent gets a bye?

    Because fuck Wisconsin. Some more.

Well they're going to need more than 50 to win so

I have to say, I find the Twitter stats that CBS provides while the game is streaming to be mildly interesting. The peak of the Duke game was nearly twice the tweets/min of the Wisc/Miss game so far.

That's because everyone watching this game fell into a coma about an hour ago. I've sanely just tuned in to watch the end.

This was a big part of why I picked MS to win this game. Thanks for pointing it out pre-tournament. It crystallized that whole "Wisconsin underachieves in the tourney" feeling I always get.

Also, VCU only 5 seed to win a game this year. Whee chaos.

It's why I had them out next round. Ole Miss stinks, but that was a terrible shooting performance, even by Wisconsin standards.

Woah, ole miss actually won? Nailed it. My expert insight was that I seem to always pick Iowa, Iowa State and Wisconsin to do well, and I never do well on brackets. Thus, upset

Wisconsin's probably the biggest wreckage to the collective bracket thus far. A lot of people were high on them. Moreso than New Mexico, I bet.

I have no idea why, I think I heard someone say they're better than you think way back when they were unranked and it stuck
