This challenge reminded me of something that actually happened.

So one of my friends is an illustrator. Done some work with big comic groups on series. Cool deal stuff. One day, he gets a box with 500 cards in them from somebody who wants him to sign all of them. Ain't nobody got time for that. So what does the guy do? He has my boyfriend learn his signature and has him do all of them.

The bf couldn't stop laughing all episode because this is exactly the kind of nonsense they will have to do if their comic takes off.

If there is one legitimate criticism I have about this show that can be easily fixed, it's that I hate not knowing what the final results are for challenges.

The vicariously competitive part of me wants to know exactly how each one of them did and how they all rank in every challenge.

I had no clear picture of his personality, therefore I could not root for him over people that I either identified with, admired, or enjoyed enough that I wanted to see them succeed. He felt... blank. I kept forgetting he was there. Even though he won his challenge against Lexxy I barely remember his comic, whereas Lexxy's Playclown gag still pops up in my brain.

All that has changed recently, and now I root for him along with the rest. But that's the way it was.

    1. katie
    2. maki
    3. lexxy / abby
    5. tavis

just a product of who's left more than anything against tavis for me.

I don't dislike Tavis, he just has seemed kinda boring and I feel his elimination comic was much weaker than Lexxy's/others who were eliminated.

Tavis is like Nick. Positive and mature attitude, rolls with the punches, good at doling out advice.

I don't mean that as a slight to Tavis, he's cool enough.

Personality wise I get it but from a comic production point of view I'm not sure why you're all so high on Maki. I don't think his elimination strip was on par with any of the other remaining contestants. He might dodge eliminations because he's a swell guy but my prediction is that he loses the next one he's in.

For the people in the house, they first got used to Maki's art and humor when they did the telephone game. I know the artists draw all the time during the day, so they've probably all developed a deep respect for what their competitors can do.

I don't know about bourbon... I think mine would be a craft beer: appropriate for a variety of occasions from a bbq to a gallery opening. Relatively unknown, down to earth, and rough around the edges. it's an acquired taste but can surprise you with it's sophistication ;)

Here... I was working on this sketch last week for some unknown product and updated it to look like a beer label :)

What's the point of being the master of someone's fate if you can't screw with them a little?

I don't know who I would have picked, just that it wouldn't have been Lexxy because she's come back from the dead and won her second elimination and goddammit that should win you a bye for one day.

I'm still team Lexby but gradually warming to Katie the more I see of her.

If we keep considering how the episodes are edited as foreshadowing, and judging by the last few episodes, the result is that Abby wins.

So someone over at LRR made some Magic: The Gathering cards.

I have a new soccer blog The Minnow Tank. Reading it psychically kicks Sepp Blatter in the bean bag.

Other than the Maki one not working within the rules (the creature with Fading will be sacrificed before the transformation check, I think) those are some surprisingly balanced cards.

Giving the Lexxy one Undying is kind of a stroke of genius.
