My mom had a heart attack on Thursday.

Then she had another (mild) heart problem today (thankfully only a minor issue with her meds).

And I just found out one of my best friend's dad's died in a car accident today.

How is everyone else doing today?

    Oy, man, things will be alright. Her risk of future heart attacks is increased, but modern medicine being what it is, with a proper exercise regimen and apropos medication, she'll turn out just fine. I'll put your friend in my prayers because there is no easy way to overcome the death of a close family member.

    Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

    I'm sorry, I know how scary that is. My mum had a massive stroke years ago. Nearly killed her. Thankfully, she recovered, and she's still here today, but it was touch and go early on.

    Oh, and I'm sorry about your friend's dad. Wishing them all the best.

    One of my families life-long friends is pretty much on her death bed. I am not going to hold up well with my mom crying uncontrollably at the funeral.
