Oi they let models walk with hair like that?

Unless more models had crazy hair and it was on purpose

    So, "hipster" rant-

I don't get the whole obsession with the appropriation of blue-collar fashion. That's what we wear when we don't want our good clothes to get dirty and/or we don't want to die. They aren't for looking good. Why do you think that looks good?

Like, I understand the natural bleed between uniforms and appropriating one setting's elements into another is a staple of fashion, but full-blown lumberjack costumes? No, you look ridiculous. Either start chopping down some trees or go put some real clothes on.

That's cool. It's the people who dress that way as a "comment on working class sensibilities" or "ironically" or "cuz I'm not a slave to the man".

It's basically dressing in a way you think looks bad on purpose, and that confuses me.

I do wish girl boxers/pj shorts had a gusset in the back like boy boxers, though. Why makers of girl boxers feel a back seam is better I don't know.

oh no boy shorts are very comfy, but girl clothes are generally sort of uncomfortable/constrictive/tight-fitting, whereas boys can wear looser fitting pants and flat shoes and still look chic

    just generalizations, but yeah

Ahh, gotcha. Well admittedly my experience with girl clothes so far is limited, so I'm sure my tune will change when I'm out in public.

You gotta remember that there's a psychological aspect there, too.

Girl clothes are just psychologically more comfortable for some of us.

I did have a funny conversation with my sister this past weekend when I came out to her. After telling me she loves me and it's cool, she went on to complain that she couldn't cheat to get taller than me with heels anymore since I'll be wearing them too. She also called me a fucker because I will probably have bigger boobs than her. Then we watched portlandia for a while.

Yeah my sister told me that I had better not have better shoes than her.

I don't understand why their self-proclaimed motivation is attractive.

People claim a motivation and I'm all "that motivation makes no sense to me".
