So I've usually been pretty active and don't really have health problems but I've recently gotten back into running, around like 15 miles a week for past few weeks. I've been noticing pretty prominent calf veins that weren't there before on a leg I injured a while ago.
And today, after sitting on comp all day I went to gym and when I took off my high socks, there's this noticeable swelling along the sock line around the ankle. I mean, without the socks I wouldn't notice, but there's a clear difference and the good leg has no swelling really.
I guess I'll go in to doc anyway but I'm wondering if anyone's had anything similar happen and what the outcome was. It seems like docs can only help in really severe situations sometimes, some I'm wondering if this is just cuz I'm getting back into being active. At rest I don't see any veins in calf, but I do think they've been getting bigger/ more noticeable when I run since a few weeks ago. Is this the beginning of varicose veins in my 20's?
