Eternal Sonata Battle system?

It sort of looks/sounds like RSPD might have a battle system similar to Eternal Sonata's, which would be very cool!

Eternal Sonata's battle system is turn based but also real time, as in each character takes turns acting, but when it's their turn they have an alloted amount of 'real time' to run around/wack people/cast spells/use items. The second video on this page gives a good idea of how it works:

Do you guys think this seems likely?
Do you think it would be cool?

Wow, I always wondered how you'd accomplished a turn-based real-time battle solution. Looks like they pulled it off pretty well.

The closest answer I got out of Gabe in the Q&A thread was "I can't say" so it's hard to call anything "likely" at this point. Given what the HotHead guys said in the 1UP interview, I'd think that menu based ("standard" turn based" is more likely. That's not really a problem, as Dragon Warrior 1 is one of my favorite RPGs, but I was hoping for a little more action based combat, like Kingdom Hearts.
