Just started playing Iron Brigade, curse you GFWL!

If anyone is interested in some hot trench co-op action, add me on Steam and let's see if we can't get something set up. We're coming down to my last free month before baby #2, so I want to get some of these games off the backlog!

Man, I remember hearing about this game when it was an Xbox download. It looks like a hell of a lot of fun. Must remember to keep my eyes out for a sale of this. I really should not spend any more money on games, especially with the nice backlog I have going on already, but I think Iron Brigade would be worth it. If I end up getting it any time soon I would be up for co-op action.

Sins of a Solar Empire Trinity for $6.79 is today's daily deal. Totally worth it right?

It's like Civilisation decided to screw all cultural victories in favour of stupid pretty space battles.

    Worth it.

Only two entries so far? I'm guessing everyone already owns this. :)

@testsubject23 - Yes, yes, I was one of the dudes that didn't own this.

And now I won't be one of those people! Thanks and can't wait to play! Added you on Steam.

I would say get Rebellion but only Trinity seems to be on sale. Hmm.

    Great game though.

I kind of hated that I bought SoaSE: Trinity a few weeks back. There was nothing wrong with the game per se. It was advertised on steam as the ultimate version of Sins, a stand alone expansion with tons of new awesome features. But when I got it I just didn't really notice anything different between it and the Original Sins which I bought years ago. I guess it's nice to have it on Steam but man I was disappointed :(

I still have barely played the XBLA version.

Well, it's the 'ultimate' in that it includes Entrenchment and Diplomacy that added in things like Starbases, deeper diplomatic options, a lot more research type things etc. They were 'boosters' (actually I think Ironclad referred to them as micro-expansions) and Rebellion initially started as one too, but they decided to make it its own thing.

So it actually is a lot more than the base Sins of way back when, but if you had previously owned Trinity, or had bought the boosters, then yeah, Trinity is the same game.

Hey, it's Cart Life. I played the free download version from his site. Does anyone know whether the Steam version is fixed up at all? It was pretty buggy when I played it.

If you like being depressed by video games, this is just the game for you. It's basically a hopelessness simulator.

Sure, and like I said there's nothing really wrong with it. And I don't hate the game, I just hate that I bought a game that I feel I already got everything out of a few years ago thinking it was going to offer me something more.

I don't own this game but I do own the soundtrack, it is wonderful.

I really like the look of it and it's music, so I'll probably pick it up.

This was one of those games hiding out in the registry right from that time? More proof those games are coming. First AoE II on Steam, and then a Kingdoms of Amalur sale... and now Fez? These are somewhat surprising but enjoyed developments.

At least for the most part the weeklong sale this time is pretty good. I mean, there's shit like Grotesque tactics, and a multiplayer only game that nobody plays anymore, but otherwise it's not bad. Would pick up jagged alliance if I could right now.

Rebellion has everything Trinity has plus each faction splits into two subfactions with slightly different tech trees. May be some other stuff I can't remember. However, Trinity has plenty going on to begin with, and is a hell of a deal at <$7

Just finished Sniper Elite: NZA. It was a great game, but another hour of it and it would've overstayed its welcome. The game was also pretty hard for a shooter, but maybe it was because I was rolling solo.

I know nothing about that game, but after reading the title, all I could think of was:

Confidence is a preference for the habitual voyeur of what is known as... CART LIFE
And morning soup can be avoided if you take a route straight through what is known as... CART LIFE
John's got brewers droop he gets intimidated by the dirty pigeons, they love a bit of it... CART LIFE
Who's that gut lord marching, you should cut down on your porklife mate, get some exercise!

And now I'm gonna have that song stuck in my head all day.

I think I ended up getting it during a sale on Amazon for 3 or 4 bucks, with Tiny Soldiers as well. I'd been interested in it since I demoed it on the 360, but never made the leap till I saw that deal. It's a pretty good spin on tower defense games, though for some mind boggling reason, there's no way to see an overhead map of the battlefield. Just adds to the difficulty for no good reason.

I'm pretty sure I've added you on Steam, so let me know when you get it. Anyone else up for some Iron Brigade too?

Probably gonna try to finish the rest of the eps tonight, then I'm gonna do the sane and healthy thing and play To The Moon and Spec Ops. My new years resolutions to play through more of my backlog and also to become suicidally depressed are coming along nicely.

I don't think i've played anything else since Friday. On the second to last campaign mission and just started my second continuous mode game (the first was before i knew what I was doing).
