It seems I've been struck by my semi-annual shooter craze, and I'm looking for some suggestions.
Here's the deal: I want a game like Tyrian or Jets'n'Guns. For anyone who hasn't played those two games (shame on you), they're shooters with a very high degree of ship customization. Do a mission, get money, buy upgrades, wash, rinse, repeat.
Yeah, I picked up J'n'G Gold and ripped through it in a few days - good expansion, but it didn't sate my desire for a new game.
I've got a PC and a Mac, so I can do a game on either platform, with the caveat that my Mac's a 1.5 year old G4 iBook.
So... ideas?
As usual, fancy graphics are a plus, and free is a plus.
