Content creator's fault for letting people drive around in the proverbial ferrari for free for ages before deciding that fuel didn't pay for itself after all and they needed to make people pay.
The Ferengi /fəˈrɛŋɡi/ are a fictional extraterrestrial race from the Star Trek universe. They first appeared in "The Last Outpost", the fifth episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1987, during which they made first contact with the United Federation of Planets in 2364 on the planet Delphi Ardu, though they had been mentioned in the series' pilot, "Encounter at Farpoint". They and their culture are characterized by a mercantile obsession with profit and trade, and their constant efforts to swindle unwary customers into unfair deals.

I am tempted to go CE on this, but it does not seem worth it. I also have a $30 pre-order for a regular one.
I'm tempted to go CE just cause I have the Wings of Liberty one and it'd be nice to have a full set.
But then I also main Protoss and have no fucking idea about Zerg...
Oh brilliant

If you like mazing focused Tower Defense try Gem TD. It is very dependent on making a good maze, and they seem to have fixed all the pathing issues. Its at the bottom of the first page of the arcade screen I think.
What colour will LOTV be? Zerg is purple, Terran is blue, but protoss is also typically blue.
Could swear Protoss' main color is yellow now.
It should be whatever color used to pop up when you selected Toss on the ladder in the old WoL UI.
Terran would be a red marine with blue, Zerg would be a purple hydra, protoss would be... well I never dirtied my hands in ladder with them so I'm not sure.
Anyway, protoss = yellow

getting better at Space Lasers race day 82:
channeled my inner grubby yesterday, in a big PvT fight, I target fired colollsus on the clumps of MM, target fired staklers on vikings, psi stormed things, felt sweet.
much better openings
- been doing stargate openings a lot, was making stargate too early, gimping econ and leaving me defenseless cause stargate shit is expensive
still trbl at having enough gateways
I don't understand not going stargate in PvP. VRs rape stalkers and immos, and if the other guy beats you to VRs, you just skip VRs and go pheonix. Can also make oracles to pewpew probes.
Is there just a single Starcraft thread these days, or is there still a separate thread for Single and Multi player?
I'm stuck on the final mission of Wings of Liberty, and I have been for a while. Note that I am pretty terrible, and very out of practice. I keep coming back to it every couple months and I just can't win.
My first attempt, I had previously done the mission to take out the Zerg air support. After getting repeatedly overwhelmed the insane amount of ground units coming from the nydus worms, I decided it couldn't possibly be any worse if I went back and redid the previous mission and instead destroyed the nydus tunnels. So I did that and have made several new attempts at the final mission with a decreased ground force. Honestly, I can't tell the difference. I'm still getting overwhelmed by ground forces and dying very early.
Anyone have any tips on how to not suck at this level? All I want to do is beat WoL so I can be ready for the HotS story. I don't play online at all.
Which upgrades do you have? Having siege tanks fully upgraded means you can just stack a bunch of them at each entrance, which will simply gib anything that walks up towards you. I personally used a banshee hit squad to take out worms, as well as a planetary fortress wall and siege tanks behind it. Not sure if that's the best way to do it though.
As for tips for the final mission: Siege Tanks are you friends. Just make a ton of them, and liberal use of whatever end-of-zerg-tech-tree building you picked. Mind control mutas/broodlords and use them to take down stuff, or use the slowing buildings to keep stuff away from your tanks. Then just make loads of marines, marauders and medics and use them to keep shit off your tanks and to clean up any surges or problem spots. Also to take out kerrigan (go go stim).
Also don't forget upgrades! and make some extra SCVs at the start as well.
Hmm... I don't even know what you're talking about with the mind control or slow buildings. I'm pretty sure I maxed my zerg research. What buildings get these special abilities? I'm gonna need to do some research tonight.
Note that I've owned Wings of Liberty since launch and still haven't beaten the story. That's how little I've played it. My knowledge is rusty and my skill is rustier still. All I want is to be ready for HotS. I've been procrastinating on this for far too long.

Do you have the thingie that lets you take control of zerg units? Are you playing on Brutal or not Brutal?
If you have the zerg mind control thing, just build a ton of those around the artifact, and steal all the air units they send at you, heal them up with medivacs. Once you have enough broodlords you should be able to stall kerrigan with broodlings while your siege tanks take her down. At least that's what I remember doing on Brutal. It took me many tries.
I never did the air one. I did the ground one on every difficulty level including all the achievements meaning only use the special artifact blast thingie once, on brutal.
As Anze said, siege tanks are your friend.
I used the slow down turret thingie at all my chokes, and most importantly make walls and walls of buildings (depots) at your chokes in front of your bunkers, with a million tanks behind.
You'll have to keep rebuilding the supply depot walls (leave a couple of scvs just inside the walls.
Then have a group of banshees with a raven or so to go snipe the nydus as they appear.
When there's no nydus you can use them to take out other zerg units and buildings / tumors.
I honestly don't have even a trickle of memory about the Mind Control or Slow Turrets. However, knowing me, I probably would have chosen the Slow option, assuming it's automated. I hate micro and I'm incredibly lazy. If I can avoid casting mind control spells in favor if a turret that does the work for me, that is totally what I would have done. Of course, like I say, I have no memory of that. I didn't even know those buildings existed.
Now I can't wait to get home and give this mission a shot. Just knowing that I might have some strategic building options available to me that I didn't even know about has me excited. 5 oclock can't get here fast enough.
Also, don't forget to have some tanks inside your base too. This is for when Kerrigan breaks through (she will) and for when nydus show up right smack in the middle of your nydus.
Nothing's more satisfying on that level than a nydus showing its face and getting immediately smacked down by siege shells.
If you are playing the campaign on Normal, I suggest doing a marine/medic only run to witness how truly broken marines are. Plus with orbital drop, it is pretty hilarious dropping 30 marines at once in an area of the map and watching them decimate whatever was there.
"Wait" he says... do I look like a waiter?

you don't go into a ferrari dealership and claim that you should get a car like that even though you can only afford a Ford.

I think about games like this:
I'll gladly spend 10 dollars to see a movie I really want to see in theaters, which is on average two hours of entertainment. So if a 60 dollar game gives me 12 or more hours of entertainment (or a ticket to an event or what have you), then it was a solid purchase.
As for tournament tickets, I don't buy them because I rarely get to watch them and I almost never have time to sit down and watch the VODs in a way that I can actually enjoy them. But I am also 100% fine with only having free SD that's supported by ads and no VODs for me if I miss it because that's fair.
Not to mention the League of Legends LCS streaming in HD for free with free access to VODs. People look at that and expect that quality from other streaming services else, without realizing riot has boatloads of money and the stream is being paid for by LoL players basically.
I've got some spare time tonight now that I get home a little earlier. I'm debating between finishing my placing for the beta or replaying the campaign for WoL so I can refresh the story. Decisions decisions...
SD streams are worthless because most numbers in the game are too small to show. It makes me glad that there are UI things coming out that will make those numbers larger so while the game may look like crap, I have an idea of what is going on.

eSports is something that I think we'd all like to see succeed, but it is still in its youth, dominated by only a few games and having a relatively small viewership on any given day. If there were no free streams of a higher quality than 360p, I'm fairly confident in saying that eSports growth would be greatly retarded.
I know I personally would watch MUCH less games than I do currently, and I'm above average in interest and dedication than the average viewer. It's not really because I feel "entitled" to free HD streams, but it just isn't very pleasant for me to watch at low qualities, and I don't have the money to pay for HD streams for specific tournaments when I can't guarantee I'll be able to see any of it, let alone enough to get my money's worth.
You can call it "entitled," you can make ridiculous comparisons to buying a car, or you can try to understand the reality of the situation.

I was hesitant until I saw they have a Starcraft 2 tournament. That'd give me like a month and a half to practice and go clean it up. Tempting.
